We welcomed Chuck and Rheta Voss who came as guests. Thanks to the visiting clubs who attended: Silver Fox, Seabreeze Singles, Clay Allemanders, Creekside Promenaders, First Coast Rounds, Mandarin Marauders, Fun & Frolic, Quartermores, the Rollaways and the host club, The Moose Promenaders.

As the suspense builds, soon it was time to judge the best costumes. The judges were Suzanne Tower, Jackie Hamlin, Joe Sares, Sherry MacGregor and of course The Mad Hatter himself, Don MacGregor,who presided over the event. First Place- Rock, Paper, Scissors Chelsea Hobbs, James Sirvent,Taylor Collins Second Place- Flo the Progressive Insurance Lady and the Agent. Sarah Maxfield and Darren Peterson

Third Place- Fluffy and Freddie the Clown Laura and Dennis Ramsey The Silver Fox retrieved their banner Don t forget the Circus Dance. The Silver Fox are selling buttons for their annual Circus Dance in January which will benefit the Dreams Come True Foundation. See Donna Powers or Lillie Irizarry for the buttons. They are $5 each. No Moose Promenader dance can be complete without a 50-50 drawing. Donnie Myers won the $28 cash prize. Wait a minute, his wife, Peggy is claiming it.

Thank you to our decoration volunteers for getting the hall ready for the dance. Don & Sherry MacGregor, John Allen Following the dance this Thursday, we will have a short meeting for the nomination and election of the Moose Promenader officers for 2015. Special Prayer Requests Please keep Doris and Wendell Spears in your thoughts and prayers. Doris has been readmitted to the Orange Park Medical Center. Doris had a setback last Saturday night and has been moved out of ICU. She is in room 351-A. We hope that Doris will have a speedy recovery.. Doris and Wendell are charter members of the Moose Promenaders and we look forward to Doris return. Cards may be sent to Doris or Wendell Spears, 417 Sigsbee Rd, Orange Park, 32073. Please keep Joanne Engum in your thoughts and prayers. She is undergoing a chemo regiment as she battles against pancreatic cancer. She has asked for prayers for help and support not only for her but for everyone around her to get through this difficult time. Please feel free to send Joanne a card, her address is 3114 Brookfair Cres, Daytona Beach, FL 32118. Please keep Linda Miller in your thoughts and prayers. Her son, Mike Petrey,. recently passed away. Cards of condolences may be sent to Linda Miller, 4841 Lawnview St., Jacksonville, 32205.

Joys and Concerns Debbie Miller reported on her Facebook page that Victoria, her daughter- in- law, is making good progress. She has been moved out of ICU. Also, Victoria is being fitted for a helmet so that she can be begin her rehab. Jerry Kangas has been improving and we hope that Jerry will have a complete recovery. Joyce Perry is home and recovering from her shoulder surgery. We hope to see Joyce soon. Calendar of Events November 15 th The Pandora s Unforgettable Holiday Ice Show, 7:30 PM at the Jacksonville Veteran s Memorial Arena starring Olympic Gold Winners Meryl Davis and Charlie White. Meryl Davis won last season s Dancing With The Stars. The group rate is $40 for the $53 tickets. We need at least 10 people. Prior to the Ice Show, Marilyn is making dinner reservations at the Longhorn Steak House on US 17. Please let Marilyn know if you plan on attending as soon as possible. November 21-22 nd The Fall Festival s Mad Hatters Ball will be at Jacksonville Beach. The ribbons are $15 now or $20 at the door. Please see Don or Sherry MacGregor for the ribbons. The last day to buy a ribbon for the drawing for $100 is October 31 st. You must be present to win. We also have raffle tickets for sale for the gift basket that will be given away that weekend. The basket contains lots of goodies and gift certificates. Raffle tickets are 3 for $5. December 4th The installation of Moose Promenader Officers.

December 17 th Christmas Party at the Orange Park Kennel Club. There will be a buffet, a betting school and a race named for our organization. The cost will be around $25 per person. There is a sign-up sheet for this event. December 18 Moose Promenaders Pot Luck Dinner May 22-May 24 th The Hollywood Scene for 2015 is the theme. The dance will be at the Lakeland Convention Center so please start making your plans and reservations now. NEFSARDA Grapevine An annual subscription to the Grapevine is $12.
