Flavium 18-19 Sports Fest Vision To organize college level Sports fest to boost up students' all-round talent and develop competitive spirit in the field of Sports. Mission To provide a platform for students to demonstrate their skills and creativity in different sports but in a disciplined manner. Objectives To organize healthy inter-departmental competition. Organize different sports events to develop a competitive spirit within the students and provide an opportunity to showcase their skills in the field of sports. Conduct the Sports fest under a disciplined environment and utilize available resources to the best of its availability. Any successful event is an outcome of the efforts put in by the organizing team and the support system. Following is the list of organizing team members who worked under the guidance of Dr. R.S. The eagerly awaited Fest is the

most participated event of the campus comprising of all the major Sports events such as Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Kabaddi, Badminton, Lawn Tennis, Athletics etc. The opening ceremony began with a brief introduction of FLAVIUM and its significance for the students. This was followed by the welcome of invitees for the day, Chief Guest- Dr. Nikhlesh Kumar Sharma, Director (Engineering Programs), Dr. Nitin Choubey, Associate Dean, SVKM s NMIMS MPSTME Shirpur Campus, Mr. Rajeev Dalal, Deputy Registrar, SVKM s NMIMS MPTP Shirpur Campus, Dr. Narayan Chandak, Head-Department of Civil Engineering and faculty members. The ceremony was coordinated by Dr. K.K. Gupta, Faculty Incharge- Flavium 2018-19 and Head-Department of Mechanical Engineering with his faculty team along with Dr. Rakesh Bharti-Sports officer and his team. As per the traditions of all the mega sporting events, a torch lighting and bearing ceremony was held to pay tribute to the spirit of very essence of the Sports fest, FLAVIUM. The MASHAL which is a symbol of healthy sportsmanship spirit was held by the Event Heads. The torch was passed on from one pair of Event Heads (Both Boy s and Girl s) to another and complete round the ground was taken. As a mark of students commitment, an oath taking ceremony was conducted, with Imli Kamla Jamir (Joint Secretary) speaking out the oath and the event heads, representing the participants, repeating after her. Thereafter, the Chief Guest for the day, Dr. Nikhlesh Kumar Sharma, Director (Engineering Programs) were called to motivate the participants and declare the event open. To celebrate the inauguration, a 400 m Relay race (girls) was conducted. The crowd cheered as the baton was passed from one member to the other, with the winner being- Electronics and Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, Information Technology (in the order of ranking). This was followed by a four person per team, 400 m relay race (boys), where the winners were- Mechanical, Electronics and Telecommunications, Information Technology (in the order of ranking). The last competition for the opening day was a 100m race (girls). All the winners were awarded by the guests! With that, the opening ceremony came to an end.

The event continued for Fifteen (15) days wherein students from all the branches and different classes were at their competitive best. The results of all the events and their glimpses are as follows: ATHLETICS The opening ceremony was followed by the ATHLETICS as an opening event and was flagged off by Dr.Nikhlesh Kumar Sharma, Director (Engineering Programs). All the students participated enthusiastically. Following are the winners of the100 meter event. 1 st Position: Gaurav Inani 2 nd Position: Abir Qureshi 3 rd Position: Siddhant Jain Girls: 1 st Position: Anusha Lathi 2 nd Position: Mahima Patil 3 rd Position: Disha Choudhry

There was a huge participation of audience and whole heartedly cheered athletes. Following are the s of various sports events: CRICKET Main Cricket (Boys ) The main cricket event was conducted from 25 th September to 7 October 2018. It was conducted with great sportsman spirit. There were total 34 teams who participated in this successful event. The event use to start at 5:30 pm every day during the course of FLAVIUM. The teams were graced by the presence of a huge number of spectators who encouraged their supporting teams. The team participated whole heartedly and played with full potential and respected the game. The game was played under knockout basis. After a tough competition, the finals were played between B.Tech Civil 4 th Year and B.Tech EXTC 4 th Year, Both the teams showed a fantastic game and played with their full potential. After a nail biting performance by both the teams, B.Tech Civil 4 th Year came out with flying colours. Following Special Awards were declared: Player of the Tournament: Monil Patidar (B. Tech Civil 4 th Year )(144 runs& 7 Wkts)

FOOTBALL: The play-offs were conducted in the evening. The final of boys was held between B.Tech Mech 2 nd Year) and B.Tech Mech 3 rd Year) the final match was viewed and cheered by a large no. of spectators. All the athletes played with team spirit and showed sportsmanship. Team B.Tech Mech 3 rd Year were the winner of the football event. Following Special Awards were declared: Golden Boot Award: Prashant Chalise (B-Tech Mech 3 rd Year) Emerging Player: Shaurya Gupta (MBA Tech Computer 1 st Year) Player of the Tournament: Abir Qureshi (B-Tech Mech 3 rd Year) B.Tech Mech 3 rd Year) B.Tech Mech 2 nd Year) MBA Tech Computer 3 rd Year

VOLLEYBALL Boys Event There was 36 participant teams that took part in this event. The event was conducted at the Volleyball court, from the quarter finals, 3 games of 25 points each were conducted and the in the semi-finals and finals, 5 games of 25 points each were conducted. There was a huge presence of spectators for the all the matches. As the rounds progressed, the competition started to become strong and all the games were interesting. The play-offs were conducted in the evening and the finals were conducted between B.Tech Computer 3 rd Year and B.Tech Civil 4 th Year which was viewed and cheered by many students. All the athletes played with team spirit. B.Tech Computer 3 rd Year was the winner of the Volleyball event. Following Special Awards were declared: Best Smasher: Samar Bawasker (B. Tech Computer 3rd year) Player of the Tournament: Rushi Shingala (B. Tech Civil 4th year) Emerging Player: Naveen Tiwari (MBA Tech Computer 2nd year) Girl s Event Following Special Awards were declared: Player of the Tournament: Vithika Gupta (B. Tech EXTC 4 th Year) Emerging Player: Heeral Dalal (MBA Tech Computer 2 nd Year) Computer 2 nd Year EXTC 3 rd +4 th Year EXTC 1 st +2 nd Year The event was coordinated successfully and the event was carried out successfully and cheerfully. THROWBALL Throwball event was conducted from 26 th September to 4 th October, 2018.For the event total 7 teams participated. The event was conducted at the volleyball court. There was huge participation of the audience with lots of cheering. The finals were conducted between B.Tech Computer 4 th Year and B.Tech Computer 3 rd Year. The winner of the event was B.Tech Computer 3 rd Year.

B.Tech Computer 4 th Year MBA.Tech Computer 3 rd Year B. Tech Computer 3 rd Year In all, the event was successfully completed. BASKETBALL Boys Event This event was conducted from 25 th to 7 th October, 2018. The event was conducted on the Basketball court near boys hostel in the presence of the coordinators and faculty members. In Basketball boys there was participation of 32 teams in which there were 6 boys (1-extra) in each team playing. A game constitutes of 4 quarters each of 10 min. The fixtures were been made in agreement with all the teams and accordingly the game was proceeded in the given slot.

Tech Computer 1 st Year) B.Tech Civil 4 th B.Tech EXTC 4 th B.Tech Computer 4 th Year Girls Event Following Special Awards were declared: Player of the Tournament: Akshya Yadav (B Tech Computer 4 th Year) Emerging Player: Disha Choudhury (B Tech Mech 1 st Year) B. Tech Computer 4 th year MXTC/Mech. Mixed team B.Tech Computer 3 rd year The event was conducted very successfully and with all the support of co-ordinators, basketball coach, and our faculty members.

TUG OF WAR Boys Event. MBA Tech Computer 2 nd Year (MBA Tech Civil 2 nd Year) (MBA Tech Extc 3 rd Year) Girls Event MBA Tech Computer 3 rd year MBA Tech Computer 1 st year Mech.+Civil+MXTC There was a huge participation of audience and whole heartedly cheered athletes.

BADMINTON: There was a huge participant. In the initial rounds matches of 7 points were conducted with 1 set only. For the quarterfinal matches of 16 points were conducted with the 1 set. For semifinal and final 3 games of 11 points each were conducted. There was a huge participation of audience and whole heartedly cheered athletes. The result are as follows. TABLE TENNIS This event was conducted on 28 th September to 4 th October 2018. There was a huge participation. In the initial rounds, matches of 11 points were conducted with 3 sets only. CLOSING CEREMONY: The closing ceremony of fun-filled Sports Fest FLAVIUM 2018-19 was held on 13 th of October 2018 from 5:30 pm. The ceremony was chaired by Dr. Nikhlesh Kumar Sharma, Director (Engineering Programs), Heads of various departments also graced the occasion with their presence. The concluding event was Boy s 100 m dash.the winners of all the events were awarded with medals and Trophies for their excellent performance. The officials were also recognized for their contribution. B.Tech Civil 4 th Year were adjudged the Best Class of the Event for their Performance in all the events combined together.
