The 2 nd Quacken Summer Invite July 22 nd - 24 th, 2016 Frisco, Texas Ford Aquatics Sanction #: NT 043-16 Hosted by Texas Ford Aquatics Location: 8353 Legacy Frisco, Texas 75034 Facility: Texas Ford Aquatics is a 10 lane, 50 meter pool equipped with non turbulent lanes and Colorado electronic timing. 10 lanes will be used for competition and a 3 lane (25 yard pool) will be used for warm up & warm down. The competition course is measured to a depth of 6ft. deep (1.8 meters) from start and turn end. Bleacher seating is available. Visiting patrons may bring personal chairs to sit in, please refrain from blocking entrances and exits. Parking: Parking is available on the property. No parking allowed at the Legacy Pet Resort and the Public Storage lots, parking will result in possible ticket and/or tow. **The Meet Referee and Meet Director may decide to change the session start times and warm-up assignments based on the number of entries. If there are any changes, the new times or assignments will be posted on the Texas Ford Aquatics website and emailed to attending teams.** Sanction & Liability: This meet will be held under the sanction of USA Swimming by North Texas Swimming, Inc. Sanction #:. No entries will be accepted unless the entrant is an athlete member of USA Swimming, Inc. Every club entered as a team in a North Texas Swimming, Inc. sanctioned meet must be a member of USA Swimming, Inc. IN GRANTING THIS SANTION AND BY PERSON S PARTICIPATION IN THE MEET IT IS UNDERSTOOD AND AGREED THAT USA SWIMMING, INC., NORTH TEXAS SWIMMING, INC., ALL MEET OFFICIALS, TEXAS FORD AQUATICS AND ITS VOLUNTEERS SHALL BE FREE FROM ANY AND ALL LIABILITIES OR ANY CLAIMS FOR ANY DAMAGES, EVEN IF SUCH LIABILITIES OR CLAIMS ARE DUE TO THE NEGLIEGENCE OF SUCH ORGANIZATIONS, ARISING BY REASON OF INJURIES TO ANYONE DURING THE CONDUCT OF THE MEET. Damage to the facility, when proved, will cause the offending swimmer, if unattached, or the offending swimmer s club, if attached, to be held accountable for repairs. The competition course has been certified in accordance with 104.2.2C(4). The copy of such certificate is on file with USA Swimming. The use of audio or visual recording devices, including cell phones, is not permitted in changing areas, rest rooms or locker rooms. Rules: Current USA Swimming Rules & Regulations will govern the conduct of the meet. North Texas Swimming safety guidelines and warm-up procedures will be in effect at this meet. Spectators are not allowed on the meet side deck, spectators must remain in the seating area. Swimmers are responsible for swimming in their assigned heats and lanes. Current NT and USA Swimming suit rules will be in effect. Use of audio or visual recording devices, including cell phones, is not permitted in changing areas, rest rooms, and/or locker rooms. Deck Changes are prohibited. Unattached/Unaccompanied athletes/swimmers with Disability: Any swimmer entered into the meet, must be certified by a USA Swimming member coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water. When unaccompanied by a membercoach, it is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer s legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement. (202.4.9(D)) Coaches and/or swimmers are responsible for notifying the meet referee or meet director of any disability prior to the competition and for providing their own assistant or equipment. Please contact the meet director/referee at least two weeks in advance of the meet to reserve proper equipment. Meet Format: This is a Prelim/Finals meet for all age groups. Meet will be limited to 250 swimmers per session. Warm-Up: NORTH TEXAS SWIMMING, INC. SAFETY GUIDELINES AND WARM-UP PROCEDURES WILL BE IN EFFECT AT THIS MEET. Each team must provide at least one USA Certified Coach to monitor warm-ups. Lanes will be assigned according to number of entries for entire warm-up. First 30 minutes will be general warm followed by 10 minutes of one way starts. Lanes 2,3,9, and 8 will be used for starts. General warm-up lanes: NO DIVING.
All swimmers will enter feet first in a cautious manner. Circle swimming only. All teams will follow this format in their team lanes. *Please note: The Meet Director may adjust the warm-up times based on entries received. Eligibility: Athletes may compete in either an attached or unattached status based upon the applicable transfer rules contained in the current USA Swimming Rules and Regulations. NO ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED UNLESS THE ENTRANT IS A REGISTERED ATHLETE MEMBER WITH USA SWIMMING INC. EVERY CLUB ENTERED AS A TEAM IN NORTH TEXAS SWIMMING SANCTIONED MEETS MUST BE A MEMBER OF USA SWIMMING,INC. Swimmer s age of 7/22/16 shall determine his/her age for the entire meet. Athlete registrations will not be accepted at the meet. All registered USA Swimming athletes are able to compete. Open to Level 3 swimmers: C/B/BB swimmers only. Entry Limit: A swimmer may enter in no more than 3 individual events per day. 9 events total for entire meet. Entry Fees: Make check payable to Texas Ford Aquatics $6.00 per individual event $3.00 North Texas Swimming surcharge per swimmer participating in the meet should be added to the entry fee. Entry deadline and procedure: Entries and fees must be submitted by 6:00pm on Thursday, July 14 th, 2016 Please submit entries in HY-TEK TEAM MANAGER/TOUCHPAD format. The meet file should be submitted by email (preferred method) to Dan McDonough at swimfrisco@aol.com with attached file of meet entries report by name and a meet entry fee report. -Mailed fee and meet entries must be postmarked and received by the entry deadline of July 14 th, 2016. Fee and meet entries that fail to do so will be billed late entry fees for all entries. -The name, phone number, and email address of the person preparing the team entries must be provided with the entries, so that confirmation can be sent to the person who prepared the entries. - All teams must provide either an attached or print out of meet entries and individual entries. -Make checks payable to Texas Ford Aquatics Your entry is not complete until check is received. Seeding: Prelims in the morning will be swum 10 & Under, 11 & 12, and 13 & over. In Finals the fastest 10 swimmers from prelims will be broken out and will swim one final heat for 10 & under, 11 & 12, 13 & 14, 15 & over age division. Except for the 800 Free, 400 Free, 400 IM. They will be swum as timed finals. All events will be circle seeded. Late Entries: Late entries will be accepted for available lanes that were created from the initial seeding from entries received. Once those lanes are filled no more late entries will be accepted. No additional heats will be created. Late fee will be $10.00 per individual event. Late entries must provide their USAS registration card to the Clerk of Course to verify current USAS membership. Late entries will be accepted at the Clerk of Course and will close 30 minutes before the start of each prelims session. There will be no on-deck registrations. CASH AND CHECK ACCEPTED ONLY. Check-In: This is a pre-seeded meet. Heat sheets will be available for purchase for spectators and provided for coaches and officials. Awards/ Scoring: Ribbons will be given for places 1-10. Timers: TFA provides timers for the majority of the meet. However, if your club has anyone who would like to volunteer to help time, please send them to the Head Timer at any time. There may be few instances where timers are needed and will be called for from the stands. Admission/Heat sheets: No admission will be charged for the event for spectators in the stands. Meet workers/volunteers, officials, and meet marshals who are working in an official capacity at the meet will be allowed on deck. Spectators serving as timers will be allowed on deck only while timing. The deck will be closed to all non-swimmers. Heat sheets will be available for purchase. (Cash and check only) Concessions/Hospitality: Concessions will be sold. Hospitality will be provided for officials and coaches. Officials: Please contact the Meet Referee, 10 days prior to the meet if a specific assignment (apprentices) is requested. All officials are encouraged to attend an officials meeting one hour prior to the start of each session. This meeting will review and clarify any rules necessary as well as answer questions. The Meet Referee will decide the uniform for all sessions.

Scratching: Athletes may opt out of swimming finals be scratching. To scratch from an event from finals, please see the clerk of course. Once the prelim event has concluded and results have been posted, each swimmer will have 30 minutes to declare their intention to scratch. Again, if your swimmer will not be able to attend finals, please scratch before finals, therefore the alternates and/or next place from the official prelims results can swim in their place. Alternates: If your swimmer places in 11 th or 12 th place in prelims, they will be considered the 1 st and 2 nd alternate. Therefore, if a swimmer who had placed in the top 10 does not show for that event in finals the 1 st alternate will take their place. If it so happens there are two swimmers that don t show for the finals both alternates will swim.
