Major Quality The Masters, played at the worlds most famous and exclusive golf club: Augusta National, heralds the start of the golf season. Augusta National was opened in 1933 and the two tournament creators, Bobby Jones and Clifford Roberts founded the invitation only format. Since 1949 the famous Green Jacket has been awarded to the winner. Tradition has it the winner keeps the jacket for one year before returning to Augusta. Past winners receive an invitation to play the tournament. There are few sporting events that can rival the Masters the worlds best players, the history and the quality of the golf course make for a very special atmosphere. Masters tickets are the most desired ticket in sport. The ballot for tickets opened in 1972 and closed in 1978. However, with over ten years experience at Augusta our travel partners have built up a substantial network of contacts and are able to obtain tickets. Willow Creek Houses Willow Creek is a subdivision of Berckmans Road and is approximately 10 minutes walk from Augusta National. The Subdivision is dominated by a lake that cascades into the famous Rae s Creek. Being able to walk onto the course, put down my chair in my preferred position and walk back to the house for Breakfast was a massive advantage! I would like to pass on my sincere thanks for organising our trip to the Masters and Pebble Beach. The entire experience exceeded my expectations and I think it unlikely I will ever have a golf experience like it again. The accommodation so close to the Masters venue was very comfortable and homely and the meals provided and the service by all the team was top class. Whilst in Augusta we enjoyed a huge dose of southern hospitality and still can t get the Georgia Peach Ice Cream Sandwiches out of my mind. Our group of six from Royal Sydney Golf Club have taken away many wonderful memories. Michael Dunn Thanks Stuart for organizing such an amazing experience. Our accommodation and the host house set up were magnificent. The food and drinks were only surpassed by the service from the staff. Nothing was a problem. Being able to walk 10 minutes to the course is a huge bonus. The Masters experience itself is something else! Then onto Pebble Beach, Spyglass and Spanish Bay staying at the Lodge. I am not sure if trips get any better than that! Can t wait to go back. Whilst I am sure we could of camped by Raes creek and we would still tell you that it is the best sporting event we have attended, it went to a whole new level thanks to Stu and the Golf Touring Company. Living 10 minutes walk from the course in a full of character Georgian home was only one of the benefits that came with the package.. Then came the food which was high class restaurant quality everyday supported by exceptional service and great Southern hospitality. Drinks were also included including ensuring our house was well stocked every day. This was the trip of a lifetime and made possible by Stu who ensured everyone of our needs were met. I really had not thought much about it nor even stopped to think about just what it might mean I now know! I have just had the wonderful experience of living my dream! It was an outstanding experience, one, which I think for me would be very hard to top. In fact as one of my colleagues indicated, we generally all agreed that we would probably not do it again because it was so good in so many ways, even over above the fact it was the first time! We had a great group, very good accommodation in an outstanding location relative the Augusta National, excellent food and food service with a fantastic week of weather thrown in need I say more. The Masters experience was truly amazing. From the accommodation, proximity to Course, the Host House and the hospitality, friendliness, and kindness of everybody made it a wonderful experience. I enjoyed especially all the guys and gals from Manchester. They enhanced the trip. The food provided was memorable and we all agreed that it was the finest Restaurant in town. Pleases thank the Chefs and the girls who helped make this Masters experience a trip of a lifetime for me. What can you say about Augusta and the Golf. Mind blowing. Pebble Beach was also great. 2 off my bucket list. We enjoyed Spyglass, Spanish Bay and of course Pebble Beach. I even managed to play Amazing Grace and Bring Him Home at the 18th in the dawn on my harmonica. The accommodation and service at the Lodge, in fact all over America was superb. We have a lot to learn here. We will always remember the super clean toilets at the Masters and the lovely way we were moved through by the attendants! Probably the best experience and holiday I have had outside of family. Brilliant organisation and the accommodation and friendliness of the team at the host house made it special.
