Attire Jackets will be worn for the hunter and equitation classes in the show rings. Riders will be allowed to show in tucked in polo shirts in the jumper rings. The classics and mini-prix require formal attire. Non-Showing Horse Horses or ponies not showing will be charged $25 per show day fee. Non-Negotiable Checks Checks returned by the bank for any reason will be assessed a penalty of $30 or 10% of the check amount, whichever is greater. Upon notification of a returned check, accounts will be given three (3) days to make full payment, including the penalty, which must be paid in certified funds, cashiers check or money order. Overnight mail service is advised in order to avoid notification of the sanctioning organizations for disciplinary action. Motorized Vehicles/Golf Carts Unlicensed drivers are not permitted to operate any motorized vehicles, ATV s, motorcycles, golf carts, etc., on the show grounds. Failure to abide by these regulations will subject the exhibitor to suspension from the horse show. Parking Fire regulations prohibit all vehicles, including trailers, vans and campers, from being parked in the stable areas. Vans and trailers will be allowed in the stable area only to load or unload. PARKING AREAS WILL BE DESIGNATED AND VIOLATORS WILL BE TOWED AWAY AT OWNER S EXPENSE. The sanctioning association encourages all riders to wear protective headgear passing or surpassing applicable ASTM standards with harness secured while riding anywhere on the show grounds. It is the responsibility of the rider, parents, guardian, or trailer of the junior exhibitor to see to it that the headgear worn complies with appropriate safety standards and is properly fitted and in good condition. Minor Exhibitors Parent(s) or guardian(s) or a minor child shall hold the horse show management and the facility harmless for any injury to such minor. No minor child s entry will be accepted, or number issued unless a parent or legal guardian signs the entry. The signature of unrelated persons WILL NOT be accepted. Dogs Per Town of Tryon: All dogs must be under control at all times and on a leash no longer than 10 feet while ont he show grounds. Unrestrained dogs create a serious safety hazard for exhibitors and their horses. Loose dogs will not be tolerated in the show ring area. They will be impounded and the owner will be charged a $100 fine added to their entry fee, which will be donated to the Foothills Humane Society. WE DO THAT! Stalls will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis. (By the date the check is received or the postmark on the envelope.) Stabling 300 stalls with doors are available. Initial bedding will not be provided. Damage All owners and exhibitors shall be held responsible for any damage incurred by them, their agents or employees to stalls, buildings, and other properties on the show grounds, and shall be billed accordingly. (This includes screw eyes or nails in stalls.) Refunds Full refunds will be given before the closing date for the stalls. After the closing date of stalls, stall fees are not refundable. After the show starts, with the official vet s certificate only, full refund will be given minus a $15 scratch fee and fees for the classes already held prior to notification of the horse show secretary, whether exhibited or not. Scratches must be made in the horse show office on the official form. Refunds will be mailed within 30 days after the horse show. Lunging No lunging permitted in the show rings or schooling areas. Lunging only in designated areas. Schooling Schooling in the show rings without permission is prohibited at all times. $100 fine for anyone caught in the rings before of after the show if rings have been closed. Labor Day Show Featured Class Class #400: $2500 BRHJA Hunter Derby. Class Conditions: First Round to be conducted over an elaborate course of jumps resembling the hunt field. Will include verticals and oxers. The top 12 scores will return for a Second Round to be held over a Handy course, which may include rollbacks, bending lines, Hand Gallops, and a trot or walk jump. Open numeric scoring will be used on both rounds. Scores from both rounds will be combined. Rider with the highest combined score wins class. Offered at 2'6" and 3'. Open to all horses and ponies that have been entered and shown at the show. Minimum 15 entries required to fill. Pink Drink Challenge!!! The Sunday of the show there will be a Pink Drink challenge. Riders will be given a champagne glass full of the drink of choice. (pink champagne for those 21 and over and sparkling cider for those under 21) Riders will canter into the ring, jump the assigned jump, while holding their glass. The rider with the most drink left in their cup will win. Special Ribbons will be awarded to the winners. Entry fee is $20. 100% of proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society.
