Crafty Kids This program is designed to give preschool children an opportunity for fun, learning, and creativity. Theme based activities include games, songs, crafts, stories, and more. Crafty Spanish A class designed to give kids ages 3-6 an opportunity for fun, learning, and creativity. Participants will get a chance each week to create awesome craft while also learning basic Spanish. Your child will leave with a craft to take home and some new knowledge of some Spanish words. Gymnastics-Little Bodies in Motion Focus is on large and small motor skills, coordination, and balance. Kids will enjoy rolling, running, hopping, skipping, jumping, and learning basic tumbling moves. Gymnastics-Parent/Child Tumbling In this teacher-guided class, the parent will help the child practice basic stretching, use large motor skills, and learn body awareness. A wonderful time to play, laugh and enjoy a unique experience together. Gymnastics-Pre School Rollers This class will introduce your child to tumbling and is designed for fitness and age-appropriate skill development including forward and backward rolls, cartwheels, bridges, and balancing. Gymnastics-School Age This class will introduce your child to tumbling and is designed for fitness and age-appropriate skill development including forward and backward rolls, cartwheels, bridges, and balancing. Holiday Events Morning With Santa - Join us for a morning of magical moments! Santa and his reindeer will be here to greet the little ones and hear all about their Christmas wishes. We will have light breakfast foods, a fun craft, games and activities including story time with Santa. Pumpkin Patch Party - Last year's party was so spook-tacular that we're doing it again! Put on your costumes and join us for our one-of-a-kind Halloween party. Activities will include a costume parade, games, crafts, treats, bounce house, and more fun all in a safe environment. Homeschool Programs Enjoy being a part of a program that brings together home school students from around the area. Students in Home School PE will benefit from swim lessons, tumbling lessons, sports instruction, and for the older students, a strength training component.

Karate Sensei Lori Brown is a degree black belt with a Tachi rank in kobudo. Lori was compelled to begin martial arts training after seeing what an amazing difference Robert Bowles Karate Academy made in her son. Lori's combination of behavior therapy and over 13 years of martial arts allow her to provide a wealth of knowledge, a nurturing spirit, and a high level of discipline to help your children excel. Lori aims to instill the same love for the mental, physical, and spiritual discipline into your sons and daughters. Adaptive: This program is designed for those with physical, intellectual and developmental disabilities. Sensei Lori Brown is a degree black belt with a Tachi rank in kobudo. Lori wants to use her love for martial arts and her knowledge as a behavioral therapist to help children of all abilities grow. Classes will be capped at 5 per class to accommodate more one to one attention. Lori aims to instill the same love for the mental, physical, and spiritual discipline into your sons and daughters. New Member Receptions This is a thirty minute presentation designed to help our members understand all the YMCA has to offer. Includes membership information, how to register for programs, locations in our association, and more information about any program we offer. OWLS Join us for a catered lunch to enjoy food and fellowship with friends. Parents Night Out Let the YMCA entertain your child while you enjoy a night out! Activities include a pizza dinner, gym games, swimming, and a movie & popcorn. Please send a duffel bag for each child with the following: towel, plastic bag for wet item, underwear, blanket, & pillow for movie time. Children should arrive with their swimsuit on under their clothes and should wear gym shoes with socks. Photography Whether you're a seasoned photographer or simply enjoy taking pictures, our class will help you capture better images by teaching you the use of light and background, and various techniques that will improve your pictures. Bring your own camera and we will explore the many wonders of our area from behind the lens. Spanish Classes This conversational Spanish class for intermediate levels is perfect for anyone wishing to learn more Spanish or as a refresher course. Our instructor teaches at college level and will help you reach your fluency goals. SPARK Kids Using SPARK (Sports, Play & Active Recreation for Kids) curriculum, this class will provide children ages 3-5 with high energy, rhythmic, engaging activities that foster social and motor development and enhance school readiness skills Swim Lessons - Age 6mos-3yrs (Parent/Child) (A-Water Discovery) Parent and Child Stage A (Water Discovery) Recommended ages: 6months-3 years Parents accompany children in stage A, which introduces infants and toddlers to the aquatic environment through exploration and encourages them to enjoy themselves while learning about the water. Skills taught include: Blowing bubbles, Front tow, Water exit, Water entry, Back float, Roll, Front float, Back tow, Wall grab. Swim Lessons - Age 6mos-3yrs (Parent/Child) (B-Water Exploration) In stage B, parents work with their children to explore body positions, floating, blowing bubbles, and fundamental safety and aquatic skills. Skills taught include: Blowing bubbles, Front tow, Water exit, Water entry, Back float, Roll, Front float, Back tow, Monkey crawl.

Swim Lessons - Age 3-5yrs (1-Water Acclimation) Preschool Level, Swim Basics Stage 1 (Water Acclimation) Recommended ages: 3-5 years old In this class Students develop comfort with underwater exploration and learn to safely exit in the event of falling into a body of water in stage 1. This stage lays the foundation that allows for a student?s future progress in swimming. Skills taught include: Submerging, Front glide, Water exit, "Jump, push, turn, grab", Back float, Roll, Front float, back glide, "Swim, float, swim". Swim Lessons - Age 6-12yrs (6-Stroke Mechanics) Swimmers focus on perfecting their strokes and further increasing their endurance. Swimmers are introduced to competitive swimming skills of flip turns, and individual medleys, and learn about heart rates and developing good health habits. Pre-requisites: Pass Flying Fish or ability to perform these skills: Front and back crawl (100 yards), breastroke, elementary backstroke, sidestroke (50 yards), Butterfly (25 yards), and tread water for 6 minutes. This session is a five (5) week session due to the holidays. Swim Lessons - Teen & Adult This program creates a welcoming environment that is designed to help adults learn to swim. They will work on comfort in the water, fundamental swimming skills, floating, submerging, recovery, building confidence in and around water, and introduction to stroke development.

Swim Lessons - Adaptive This class, designed for participants with special needs, will focus on basic water skills & water adjustment. Helping participants gain confidence in the water & improve kicking & stroking ability. Through participation in the program, participants learn to feel more positive about themselves in a safe & relaxed environment that promotes success mixed with fun & play. Teen Leaders Club Exact dates and times to be determined. Teen Life Skills Cooking - Youth can learn basic kitchen safety, sanitation, cleaning, and cooking skills that will help build responsibility and knowledge. The class will consist of an overview of the process of what we are making as well as hands on instruction in cooking a full meal. Everyone will be able to participate along with preparation and the cooking process. This may include chopping, boiling, sautéing, plating, mixing, and many other fun kitchen tasks. This class will be taught by a culinary instructor from the FWCS Career academy and will feature presentations from actual students of the program. Don't miss this great opportunity! Job Prep - Youth can learn skills that will directly help them as they come of age to begin applying for jobs. The class will consist of an overview of the importance of making a good impression and how to do it. This will include lessons over filling out an application, dressing for an interview, answering interview questions, timeliness and more. The class will also include some hands on activities that will help students practice these skills such as filling out mock applications. The class will conclude with students splitting up and participating in mock interviews with a professional from the community that works with hiring staff. For this class, pizza will be provided at the beginning of class for all that are registered. Money Management - Youth can learn importance of managing their money and very tangible ways to help be successful at doing it. The class will consist of an overview of the importance of this topic as well as presenting multiple techniques that can be used to accomplish it. The class will also include some hands on activities that will help students practice managing money and budgeting. Once the class is finished they will have time to discuss and evaluate the process. For this class, pizza will be provided at the beginning of class for all that are registered. Training - Lifeguarding Interested in a great job or challenging career as a professional lifeguard? Through videos, group discussion and hands-on practice, you?ll learn teamwork, rescue and surveillance skills, First Aid and CPR/AED and other skills you need to work as a professional lifeguard. Must be able to attend all class days and times to complete certification. Fri 10-5, Sat 10-5, Sun 10-5. MUST BE ABLE TO ATTEND BOTH WEEKENDS!!!!! Training - CPR/AED/Oxygen The purpose of the American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and Health Care Providers course is to teach those with a duty to act (professional rescuers and health care providers) the knowledge and skills needed to respond appropriately to breathing and cardiac emergencies until more advanced medical personnel take over. This includes the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) to care for a victim experiencing cardiac arrest. Training - First Aid This is a class designed to help people prevent, prepare for and respond to land based first aid emergencies. Upon successful completion of this course participants will receive certification in American Red Cross First Aid. Training - Safe Sitter Babysitting This course will teach potential babysitters how to care for a choking infant or child, basic first aid, personal safety for the babysitter, injury prevention, how to care for children (feeding, diapering, etc.), preventing problem behavior, behavior management, ethics and babysitting as a business.
