Who are KW Designed Solutions? We are industry leaders in the design and manufacture of bespoke special purpose pressure vessels, pressure testing equipment and associated pressure control systems. Established in 2004, KW continues to support industry and research facilities in the Oil and Gas, Subsea Engineering, Material Research, Universities, Nuclear, Pharmaceutical and Scientific sectors. Our cutting-edge design and superior manufacturing capabilities are combined with a total commitment to the continuous improvement of our products and services. This ensures we consistently produce the most innovative, high quality, safe, reliable and cost effective solutions. Design All our Pressure Vessels are designed in-house in our UK offices by highly skilled and qualified engineers using the most up to date design & analysis tools. Whilst we offer bespoke engineereed solutions to satisfy our customers wide range of specifications, we always ensure compliance to all relevant Pressure Vessel design codes, international standards and directives. Manufacture, Assembly and Testing The manufacture, assembly and testing of our Pressure Vessels is carried out at our purpose-built facility in the UK. Our team of electro-mechanical engineers possess a wide range of specialist skills and have access to the most up to date tooling available. Advanced production and project management systems ensure we supply right first time, on time, ensuring we maintain our ISO 9001 accreditation. Installation and Commissioning Our team of certified engineers plan and organise all relevant services, activities and safety requirements for the installation of our equipment. We work closely with specialist sub-contractors for the positioning and siting of heavier equipment. Once sited, our engineers will complete the installation and commissioning by conducting a final Site Acceptance Test (SAT), before the equipment is finally signed off by the customer. KW is ISO 9001:2008 certified
Pressure Vessels Specialised Pressure Vessels are required for many varied and diverse testing applications. At KW we manufacture Hyperbaric Chambers, Reactor Vessels and Autoclaves which are available with a closure style suited for the intended application, required design pressure, temperature and working volume. Simulating Deep Ocean Pressures Creating Extreme Subsea Operating Conditions Containing Chemical or Physical Reactions HPHT Chemical and Materials Analysis Fuel Spray Analysis Pressure Vessel Closures Our Pressure Vessel Closures are available in many forms. As well as Threaded and Bolted - types commonly used in industry, we also offer an advanced range of Quick Acting Pressure Vessel Closures, innovatively engineered and continually improved over the years to simplify the opening and closing function of the Vessels. These Quick Acting Pressure Vessel Closures are useful for customers who have a specific set of operating conditions or the need to conduct Production FATs with short test times, requiring quicker and easier access. They are generally specified for the medium to larger Pressure Vessels, offering closure guidance, safety locking mechanisms and attachments for safe handling. All our Pressure Vessel Closures come with various sealing options with varying pressure and temperature ratings. Whether it is a bespoke design or one of our existing products, our aim is to provide the perfect solution.
Specialist Application Tooling Our unique ability to incorporate specialist application tooling into Pressure Vessels is what sets us apart from all other Pressure Vessel Manufacturers. We allow our customers to simulate in-service operating environments by creating more realistic testing platforms and offering industry standard testing conditions. Replicating the actual functionality of the Equipment or Device Under Test (EUT or DUT) is achieved with the integration of tools to manipulate the components whilst under pressure. KW has pioneered many designs to meet the most demanding and stringent test standards. Using advanced innovative engineering, we can incorporate specific features that transform a simple Pressure Vessel into a noteworthy test platform for extreme environments. Pressure Control Systems Hydrostatic and Hyperbaric pressure testing of in-house manufactured products requires the integration of a suitable Pressure Control System with the Pressure Vessel or equipment being tested. The solution for successful and efficient pressure testing is achieved using one of our compact & modular Pressure Control Systems that simplifies, speeds up and automates repetitive processes: Filling Pressure Control at Set Point Purging Depressurisation (venting) Pressurising Draining The Pressure Control System includes essential safety features such as pressure indicators and other pressure relief devices as well as integrated water holding tanks and data logging capabilities. Manual Pressure Control Systems Suitable for simple pressure control, Manual Pressure Control Systems allow the operator to control the pressure testing functions of the system by manually opening and closing valves or using push button switches. Automated Pressure Control Systems Automated Pressure Control Systems have pre-defined programmable functions that self-manage the control modes of the hydrostatic & hyperbaric pressure testing functionality of the system. Systems are PLC driven via a remote operator control panel incorporating a user-friendly HMI control interface. Pressure Testing Facilities From Bench-top apparatus to complete walk-in test cells, KW are leaders in the turnkey supply, installation and commissioning of fully integrated Pressure Testing Facilities. By integrating other types of ancillary equipment and tooling into the supply of our Pressure Vessels and Control Systems, we can create advanced operational testing facilities in line with customer requirements.
