Due: May 11 A Day in the Life: Exploring Modern Technology and the Health Profession Student Participants will be actively engaged in the technology that supports the Simulated Environment Teaching Hospital and anatomage table. Participants will also experience firsthand the new plasticized cadavers! AGxplore Participants will AGxplore the importance of sustainability through alternative food and fuels, and explore agricultural opportunities, careers and leadership. Forensics: The First 48 Hours The first 48 hours of an investigation are key in determining many answers. Time is very critical. Participants will experience great opportunities, and to top off the session will take a field trip to an actual Crime Lab. Graphic Design A Career in Visual Language Participants will discover industries that rely on graphic designers, and will take field trips to a local newspaper and printing design business. Horsemanship 101 Participants will have a hands-on opportunity to learn and practice skills essential to becoming a horseman. Lights, Camera, Action! Participants will have fun creating, writing, directing, videotaping, and starring in their own Public Service Announcement. Project Runway Participants will gain experience in working backstage as they add finishing touches to their outfit, and have a photoshoot. Mapping Your World Using ArcCollector App and Story Maps Participants will be introduced to the world of GIS, Parish Health Data and Drones! LSU Student Experience: Life in the College of Agriculture Participants will learn about the history and traditions of LSU. Love Purple, Live Gold! Shining Light on Pollution Participants will build their own pollution detectors using a programmable microcontroller (Arduino), a simple dust sensor, and basic electronics. They will also dive into the chemistry behind air pollution, learn about different sources of air pollution, and even build our own pollutants using Legos. Sound, Music, and Thinking Outside the Box Participants will learn how sound impacts senses and how they can use sound to create connections to their audiences and fellow performers. A Zookeeper s Guide to Saving the World Participants will join the Audubon Zoo staff and explore ways to help animals and protect the environment.
