RED DOOR DANCE ACADEMY RECITAL PACKET 2018 EISEMANN RECITAL - Sunday May 13, 2018 There are 2 Eisemann Recital Shows- Yellow Show at 2:00pm & Orange Show at 6:00pm. The correct show info is included based on which show your dancer s class is in. If your dancer is in both shows we have included a page for each show. Please read all of the following to ensure recital runs smoothly for all our dancers. Important Notes: - Stage Rehearsal is mandatory for all dancers - All Tshirts, Program Ads or DVDs can be ordered either at the front desk or online. Deadlines for Recital Orders: - Recital Tshirts orders are due March 24, 2018 - Recital Program Ads- Deadline: March 24, 2018 - Recital DVD Order Form- Deadline: May 26, 2018 Recital Tickets: Recital Tickets will go on sale on Sunday, March 25, 2018 *Tickets for the YELLOW show (which is the 2:00pm show) will start selling at 2:00pm *Tickets for the ORANGE show (which is the 6:00pm show) will start selling at 2:30pm This will give families that have dancers in both shows a chance to buy tickets to each show with the best chance of getting your desired seats. We will have a link on our website that will take you to the theater s ticket sales page. Starting Monday, March 26 at 10am tickets can also be sold in person at the theater or over the phone through the Eisemann Center. Tickets are reserved seating and ticket prices are $10, $12 and $14 depending on seat location. The balcony will be closed- only floor seats are available. Tickets are sold on first come first serve basis- through the theater s website you will be able to view available seats and select the ones you want. If you want specific seats up close those sell very fast on Sunday night!
STAGE REHEARSAL Stage rehearsal is on Tuesday, May 8 and is MANDATORY for all dancers participating in recital. This rehearsal is very important and allows students to practice on stage and get familiar with the venue before performance day. NO COSTUMES will be worn at this rehearsal. Please come in normal dance attire and bring all necessary dance shoes. We will run through each of their dances on the stage. *** Please come at least 15 minutes early so you can find the drop off area and dancers will be ready to dance at the listed time. WHERE: Eisemann Center- 2351 Performance Drive, Richardson, TX 75082 Hill Performance Hall STAGE REHEARSAL SCHEDULE- ON BACK DROP OFF/PARKING Dancers will be dropped off & checked in at the backstage entrance. This entrance is on Performance Drive- see attached map. After dropping off your dancer, parents will walk around to the front entrance of the theater to watch rehearsal in the audience. Dancers will stay with our staff during their rehearsal time. Parking: Please park in the Public Garage attached to the north side of the theater building. We will have a parking pass for you to get the discounted rate of $2/car. This is for stage rehearsal only. WHAT TO BRING -wear normal dance attire (no costumes) -all dance shoes needed for recital in a bag. Drop dancer off in their shoes for their first dance of rehearsal. Parents- take all other shoes with you to the audience where they will change in between dances. -do not leave any extra items with dancer when you drop them off PICK UP When dancers have finished rehearsing they will be brought from the stage down to one of the front rows of the theater. Parents will pick up dancers here (in audience). *Dancers in multiple classes- ALL dancers will be released to the audience after every dance. They will change shoes in the audience between dances and wait with parents until time for their next dance. Be ready to send dancers back up to the stage when their next class is announced. Dancers will not be held backstage in between dances.

Doors open at 1:30, show starts at 2:00. Arrival/Drop Off: Dancers should come dressed in the costume for their 1 st dance with all hair and makeup done and the appropriate dance shoes on. Dancers should have all extra costume pieces, dance shoes, etc. with them for the whole YELLOW show. At drop off 1 parent will be given a wristband- this will be used for dancer pickup at the end of the show. Once dancers are dropped off, parents can walk around to the main entrance to find their seats for the show. *Dancers in both shows: If your dancer is in the YELLOW AND ORANGE show please only drop them off with their costumes for YELLOW show at this time. We need as few items backstage as possible. Make sure they have all the dance shoes they need with them! What to Bring: -all dance shoes needed for recital -one PJ outfit for Finale- all dancers will pull on some PJs over their last dance costume to perform the Finale. (This can be a night gown, pants & top set, sweats, anything, but COLORFUL is best!) -all costumes & costume pieces including any extra accessories for costume, hair clips, etc. (if needed) Leave everything with the dancer- parents will not be able to bring items back to dancers mid-show. -Water bottles with a lid that can be secured tightly are fine. -Bring all items in a bag to keep together. LABEL EVERYTHING! After the Show/Pick Up: All dancers will be participating in our recital finale at the end of the show. Dancers cannot be picked up before the end of the show, no exceptions. This is for safety and security reasons. When the show is over one parent per dancer will go backstage to pick up from dressing rooms. You must have your wristband with you (this will be given out when your child is dropped off before show). Each wristband will notate the appropriate dressing room to pick your dancer up from. Our staff will be directing everyone to the pick up locations. *Dancers Ages 12 & Older will be released to meet their parents in the theater lobby on their own unless you discuss otherwise with us.

RECITAL DVDs We have hired a videographer to provide us with professional video coverage of the day s events. Their creativity & multiple cameras will capture all the wonderful details of the performanceleaving you with a DVD OR Blu Ray of priceless memories! DVDs are $35 each (tax is built in to this price, no additional tax) and include -Multi-camera coverage of the performance, professionally filmed & edited -BOTH Yellow & Orange Show are packaged together in a 2-disc set *You will have the option to purchase a High-Def Blu Ray disc for $10 more Order Deadline: May 26, 2018 Please note: Personal videotaping and/or photography of any kind will not be allowed during the performance.
