Warren Colorguard Showcase Information LOCATION, DIRECTIONS AND MAP: The Warren Colorguard Showcase will be held on Saturday, March 10 th, 2018 at Warren High School located at 9411 Military Drive W San Antonio, TX 78251. From Loop 410 West: Take Loop 410 W to the 151 W exit toward Sea World. Take 151 W to the Hunt Lane Exit, Approximately ½ mile. Exit Hunt Lane and turn right. After approximately 1.0 mile turn right onto Military Drive. Warren will be on your left hand side. All will enter using the first entrance located by the Walmart (9400 Military W street sign) If Hunt Lane is closed due to construction Exit Military Drive and turn right. Proceed approximately 1.0 mile on Military and Warren will be located at the 2 nd stop light you come upon. All will enter using the first entrance located by the Walmart (9400 Military W street sign) From the Loop 1604 East: Take Loop 1604 East to the 151 East exit (Toward Sea World). Take 151 to the M ilitary Drive exit. Exit and turn left on to Military Drive. Proceed approximately 1.0 mile down Military Drive and Warren High School will be on your left. All will enter using the first entrance located by the Walmart (9400 Military W street sign).

PARKING: Spectators will enter the school to the left using the entrance located across the street from the Walmart (9400 Military W street sign). The Spectator parking lot will be located directly in front of the main entrance to the school. Buses and equipment trucks are to enter at the 9400 Military W entrance located across the street from the Walmart as well. Busses and equipment trucks for the Guards will be unloaded at the check in / drop off point located behind the school in the bus loop and then proceed to the bus/trailer designated areas. CONTEST INFORMATION All contest rules and regulations from the 2017-2018 TECA Constitution and By Laws and the 2017-2018 WGI Rule Books will be followed. All props, performance shoes and equipment must be padded and taped according to the TECA and WGI rule books specifications. Please refer to the 2017-2018 WGI Colorguard and Adjudication Manual and Rule Book for further information. CHECK-IN The check-in table for all participants will be located inside and towards the back of the cafeteria. Performers will show the monitors that all equipment is properly padded and taped during warm up. Maps of the school and a schedule of performance times will be available at the check-in table. GUARD CREW AND STAFF ADMISSION Performing members will need to report to the check-in table prior to warm up. Admission bracelets will be provided for all performing members up to 30 students, 10 student crew members, and 2 bus drivers. Additional admission bracelets may be purchased at the check-in table for additional crew members at a cost of $5 per student. COLORGUARD AREA Tables will be set up in the cafeteria for each group to store personal items. Props/Floors and larger equipment will be stored in the Prop Storage Area in the main hallway of the school. The cafeteria and hallways are traffic areas only. Students and staff will not spin, toss or maneuver any equipment at any time other than in designated warm up areas. You may use the covered area on either side of the check-in area and the band practice field for extra equipment warm up area.

OFFICIAL WARM UP TIME AND PERFORMANCE BODY WARM UP When it is time for your group to be READY, please report to the Ready table located in the cafeteria. You will be escorted by a monitor to each warm up area. Body warm up will be in the Dance Studio. Students may stretch or do a body type of run through. No equipment will be allowed during this segment of the official warm up time. EQUIPMENT WARM UP After Body Warm Up, your group will be led to the warm up gym and will be placed in holding until your equipment warm up time starts. A sound system will be made available to you in both body and equipment warm up areas. PERFORMANCE After Equipment Warm Up, your group will be led to the performance area. You will be placed in holding until your official set up and performance time begins. We will be utilizing a VERTICAL TIME LINE flow for the performance area. Indoor Guards will enter through the back left and exit through the back right. (See attached Gym Flow Map) POST PERFORMANCE After exiting the performance area, staff and unit members should make sure that all equipment is secured and then proceed to pick up the show music. Comments and score sheets will be sent electronically. Unit Captains will need to start their line-up in warm up gym after the last unit of the evening. Retreat will follow the last performing group. Participants will be given the opportunity to attend a critique session hosted by the judges and TECA.

SPECTATOR ADMISSION Wrist bands will be sold at the spectator entrance. All spectators must have a wrist band to enter the competition. Admission is $7.00 for adults and $5.00 Student. Children under 5 are free. Cash, Check or Credit Cards are accepted. (There will be a convenience fee of 50 cents per adult tickets and 25 cents per student ticket if a Credit Card is used. This is a fee that is charged to us from PayPal.) CONCESSIONS Concessions will be available throughout the day in two different locations. Please see map. No outside food or drink will be allowed inside the school. T-SHIRTS, FLOWERS, AND SHOUT-OUTS If you wish to show support and congratulate your participants, Shout-outs in the gym will be available for purchase $3.00 or 2 for $5.00. Cash only.
