Power/Edge Class Free Skate 2 and above: Improve your MIF tests and competition programs by working on your POWER, EDGES, and ENDURANCE. Class will begin with 15 minutes of off-ice warm up and conditioning. On the ice, we will do a variety of power drills, edge exercises, turns, and conditioning to help skaters increase their endurance and fitness. Class will end with a five-minute on-ice cool down. Total instruction time is 60 minutes (15 minutes off-ice and 45 minutes on-ice). Class will be held Tuesday morning 6 a.m. to 7 a.m. Cost is $10 per session. Sign up for each individual class on Private Ice Contract. Walk-on $15. Limit 20 skaters. Skating level definitions: DEFINITIONS HAVE CHANGED. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY. Bronze : Basic 1 through FS4 Silver : Non-test track skaters must have passed FS4. Test track skaters must have passed Pre-preliminary Moves in the Field Gold : Skater has passed Pre-Juvenile Moves in the Field; skater is landing all single and single/single combos and working on axel and double jumps. *A lesson exception will only apply to skaters whose coaches schedule their lesson during ice time that they do not qualify for. For example: A Silver level skater who has a lesson with their coach during Gold session. Skater can only be on the ice during the lesson. Ice will be sold in 15-minute increments for that purpose only. New this year: All parents will be required to be a rink monitor during private ice. Duties include staying at the rink and making sure all skaters check in before taking the ice. A rotating schedule will be made. You will be sent the schedule via email. You are responsible for finding a replacement if you are not available. You will only be scheduled during the time that your child skates. Please indicate the sessions you would like to purchase by checking in the far right side box. Be sure to make a copy of this contract for your personal records. Check with coach for private lessons.

Walk on fees are $10.00 for 30 minute session ; $15.00 for 45 minute session Ice Contract is non-refundable. If skater is physically unable to skate, they must provide medical documentation to receive ice credits. Skaters must be in good standing with no overdue fees and coaching fees must be paid in full. Preference will be given to the younger skaters for earlier open times; also full club members are given seniority over associate members. USFSA Skaters who are not MSLFSC or associate members may skate three sessions as a visitor. Prior to skating the 4th session, skater must register as an associate member and pay the associate member fee.
Parent and Skater: Please review the Ice Rules General 1. Keep the ice rink area and dressing rooms tidy. Pick up all trash. 2. Kleenex are to be discarded or pocketed. 3. No swearing, screaming, or displays of temper on the ice or in the locker rooms. 4. No displaying any behaviors that could be described as abusive, vindictive, sexual, or violent. 5. Proper respect must be shown to coaches, ice and music monitors, as well as other skaters at all times by both the skaters and parents. 6. Tapes and tape cases or CD s should be marked with the skater s name. 7. Do not bring valuables to the rink; the club is not responsible for theft or vandalism. On Ice 1. Skaters must check in with the coach at the start of every session. 2. No gum chewing, eating or spitting on the ice. 3. No talking and standing on the ice in another skaters way. Please move over to the boards when not skating. If you must stop or visit, please use hockey boxes. 4. Only skaters and coaches are allowed on the ice. 5. Parents and skaters should not interrupt a skater or their coach when they are having a lesson. 6. Dress in appropriate attire for skating. 7. No one is allowed on the ice without skates. 8. The skater who is doing their program to music has the right-of-way. The skaters having a lesson have the second right-of-way. Be alert and learn to identify other skaters music. 9. No sitting on the boards around the ice rink. 10. No glass bottles on the ice or carrying beverages around while skating. 11. No kicking the ice or boards. 12. Exit the ice promptly when the Zamboni comes out. Please remove personal items from the boards. 13. No sitting or lying on the ice. Unless you are seriously hurt, get up from a fall right away. 14. High sessions must have a coach present. 15. No skater can be on the ice without a coach or board member present. 16. No horseplay. 17. Music will be handled by the ice monitor or designated individual only. 18. Programs will be played in the order they arrive with the exception that a coach may insert a program between every other skater. 19. Spins are to be done in the middle of the ice and jumps on the ends unless the skater s program is being skated. Remember, whether you are on the ice, in a locker room or at a competition, you represent Marshfield Silver Laces Figure Skating Club and should do so with respect, dignity and good sportsmanship shown to everyone you encounter. Members of the board and the professional staff may enforce these rules by having the violator removed from the ice for the remainder of the session. The skater will not receive a
refund for the session. Repeated incidents will be discussed with the parent, and if behavior is not corrected, the skater will be asked not to return to the rink.
