SETUP 01 01 Open the shipping box and lift device up and out of box. 02 Check to make sure the box also contains 1 power cord, 1 air blocker, and a user manual. 02 03 Remove the protective foam covers on each side and the plastic bag. (Not Pictured) 04 04 Place the device on a flat and stable surface near the patient. 05 05 Unwrap the power cord (from the box) and plug it into the back of the machine. Plug the device into a safe and properly grounded outlet. 03

THERAPY SETUP (Settings can only be modified or restored before or in between treatments.) There are three operating modes with this device: Factory Default Mode: Device comes with a factory default setting providing 45mmHg pressure on distal chamber and a 7% of gradient pressure, and a 30 minute treatment time with a 30 second cycle time, with no chambers being skipped. Gradient Mode: This mode allows you to set your starting pressure and the percentage drop of pressure gradient between chambers. Pressure Mode: This mode allows you to set the pressure in each of the four chambers in the sleeve. 06 Follow steps 6 8 before pressing the green Start button. 06 07 08 Attach left and/or right quick connectors of the garment to the quick connect ports which are located on the front panel of the device. During a single garment session (i.e. left only or right only) insert the air blocker into the unused quick connect port. Putting the garment on: a) For leg garments, unzip the garment all the way to the end. Place the foot at the bottom of the garment and pull up the zipper while supporting the garment to wrap around the leg. b) For arm garments, slide the arm through the internal cavity of the garment. Press main POWER SWITCH up to the ON position which is located on the rear panel. The green power indicator on the front panel will then illuminate. 07 08 09 Upon this display, User can directly push START to run the device on FACTORY DEFAULT mode. If GRADIENT MODE is desired, continue to steps 10-29. If PRESSURE MODE is desired, proceed to steps 30-46. 09 04

GRADIENT MODE 10 Upon this display, the user can access GRADIENT MODE by pushing the SHUTTLE KNOB (circular button). This will take you to THERAPY MODE SETTINGS. The indicator light will be yellow (setting). 10 11 This display shows THERAPY MODE SETTINGS. *Note: The asterisk (*) shows which mode is currently selected. 11 12 Turn the SHUTTLE KNOB to the right to select Gradient Mode. Then, push the SHUTTLE KNOB to access Gradient Mode. It will take you through various parameters: Pressure, Gradient, Treatment Time, Cycle Time, and Skip Chamber. 12 13 This display shows the first parameter: Pressure (turn the shuttle knob to the left). Push the SHUTTLE KNOB to select Pressure. 13 *Note: User can access other parameters by turning the shuttle knob to the right/left at any time. 14 You can increase the pressure by turning the SHUTTLE KNOB to the right, and decrease the pressure by turning to the left. (pressure can range from 25 120 mmhg, increments of 1 mmhg) 14 15 Push the SHUTTLE KNOB to confirm the new pressure. 15 05

GRADIENT MODE (Continued) 16 Access the second parameter, Gradient, by turning the SHUTTLE KNOB to the right. Push the shuttle knob to select Gradient. 16 17 You can increase the gradient by turning the SHUT- TLE KNOB to the right, and decrease by turning to the left (gradient can range from 5 15%, increments of 1%). 17 18 Push the SHUTTLE KNOB to confirm the new gradient. 18 19 Access the third parameter, Treatment Time, by turning the SHUTTLE KNOB to the right. Push the shuttle knob to select Treatment Time. 19 20 You can increase the treatment time by turning the SHUTTLE KNOB to the right, and decrease time by turning to the left (treatment time can range from 15 180 minutes, increments of 15 minutes). 20 21 Push the SHUTTLE KNOB to confirm the new treatment time. 21 22 Access the fourth parameter, Cycle Time, by turning SHUTTLE KNOB to the right. Push the SHUTTLE KNOB to select Cycle Time. 22 06

GRADIENT MODE (Continued) 23 You can increase the cycle time by turning the SHUT- TLE KNOB to the right, and decrease time by turning to the left (cycle time can range from 20 80 seconds, increments of 10 seconds). 23 24 Push the SHUTTLE KNOB to confirm the new cycle time. 24 25 Access the fifth parameter, Skip Chamber, by turning the SHUTTLE KNOB to the right. Push the SHUTTLE KNOB to select Skip Chamber. 25 26 Select to the chamber you wish to skip by turning the SHUTTLE KNOB to the right or left. (Select one only: Chamber 1, Chamber 2, Chamber 3, Chamber 4, or No skip). 26 *Note: Skipping a chamber does not mean the chamber selected will not fill with air. 27 Push the SHUTTLE KNOB to confirm the skipped chamber. 27 28 To exit and complete Gradient Mode setup, turn the SHUTTLE KNOB to the right. Push to select EXIT. 28 29 Turn the SHUTTLE KNOB to the right in Therapy Mode SettingS until you see EXIT, push SHUTTLE KNOB to select and you will be taken to the Ready... Press <Start> display. Push the green Start button to start your custom treatment (proceed to step 48). 29 07

PRESSURE MODE 30 Upon this display, User can access Pressure Mode by pushing the SHUTTLE KNOB. That will take you to Therapy Mode Settings. 30 31 This display shows Therapy Mode Settings. *Note: The asterisk (*) shows which mode is currently selected. 31 32 Turn the SHUTTLE KNOB to the right to select Pressure Mode. Then, push the SHUTTLE KNOB to access Pressure Mode it will take you through various parameters: Pressure, Treatment Time, Cycle Time, and Skip Chamber. 32 33 This display shows the first parameter, Pressure Set. Push the SHUTTLE KNOB to select Pressure Set, then push the SHUTTLE KNOB on the individual chamber you want to set. *Note: Pressure can be set in all 4 chambers 33 34 You can increase the pressure by turning the SHUTTLE KNOB to the right, and decrease the pressure by turning to the left (pressure can range from 25 120 mmhg, increments of 1 mmhg). 34 35 Push the SHUTTLE KNOB to confirm the new pressure. This will take you to the next chamber. Follow step 33 to set the pressure in that chamber. Repeat until you have reached Chamber 4. 35 08

PRESSURE MODE (Continued) 36 After chamber 4 the screen will read Exit. Push the SHUTTLE KNOB to confirm. 36 37 Access the second parameter, Treatment Time, by turning the SHUTTLE KNOB to the right. Push the SHUTTLE KNOB to select Treatment Time. 37 38 You can increase the treatment time by turning the SHUTTLE KNOB to the right, and decrease time by turning to the left (treatment time can range from 15 180 minutes, increments of 15 minutes). 38 39 Push the SHUTTLE KNOB to confirm the new treatment time. 39 40 Access the third parameter, Cycle Time, by turning SHUTTLE KNOB to the right. Push the SHUTTLE KNOB to select Cycle Time. 40 41 You can increase the cycle time by turning the SHUTTLE KNOB to the right, and decrease time by turning to the left (cycle time can range from 20 80 seconds, increments of 10 seconds). 41 42 Push the SHUTTLE KNOB to confirm the new cycle time. 42 09

PRESSURE MODE (Continued) 43 Access the fourth parameter, Skip Chamber, by turning the SHUTTLE KNOB to the right. Push the SHUTTLE KNOB to select Skip Chamber. 43 44 Select to the chamber you wish to skip by turning the SHUTTLE KNOB to the right or left. (Select one only: Chamber 1, Chamber 2, Chamber 3, Chamber 4, or No skip). *Note: Skipping a chamber does not mean the chamber selected to skip will not fill with air, but less air. 44 45 Push the SHUTTLE KNOB to confirm the skipped chamber. 45 46 To exit and complete Pressure Mode setup, turn the SHUTTLE KNOB to the right. Push to select EXIT. 46 47 Turn the SHUTTLE KNOB to the right in Therapy Mode SEttings until you see EXIT. Push SHUT- TLE KNOB to select and you will be taken to the Ready...Press <Start> display. Push the green Start button to start your custom treatment. 47 10

LOCK DEVICE 48 Upon this display, User can access Lock Device by pushing the SHUTTLE KNOB. That will take you to TherapyModeSettings. The indicator light will be yellow (setting). 48 49 This display shows TherapyModeSettings. *Note: The asterisk (*) shows which mode is currently selected. 49 50 After setting device to desired treatment, turn the SHUTTLE KNOB to the right to select Lock Device. Then, push the SHUTTLE KNOB to access Lock Device. 50 51 A second screen will appear to verify that you would like to lock the device. Move the cursor over to Yes and select using the SHUTTLE KNOB. 51 52 Another screen will appear to notify you that the device is now locked. This screen will also show the password to unlock the device and then the revert back to the Start Menu. 52 *Password is DM for Devon Medical 11

UNLOCK DEVICE 53 In order to unlock the device, press down the SHUTTLE KNOB. Instead of taking you into the menu, a screen will appear to Input Password. 53 54 Turn the SHUTTLE KNOB to select the first character of the password, press down and select the second character. Press down the SHUTTLE KNOB a second time to input the password. If the password is correct, the device will unlock and return to the menu screen 54 55 If the password is incorrect, the device will display a screen to notify you and return back to the start menu. 55 12

TREATMENT 56 The pump will go through its initial prefill stage of reaching 10 mmhg in all 4 chambers. 56 57 Each treatment will end after its set treatment time has elapsed. The user can also end the treatment at any time during a treatment session by pressing the STOP button on the front panel. *Note: If the user presses STOP the treatment will not pick up from where it left off at. 57 58 After the treatment, the device will vacuum air from the garment for 1 minute so that it will facilitate removal of the garment. (Not Pictured) *Note: If using one of the larger size sleeves all the air may not vacuum out within 1 minute. The vacuum setting can go through another 1 minute cycle by pressing STOP. 59 59 Once the sleeve is deflated, press the power switch on the backboard to the OFF position and then unplug the power cord. 60 Once the power indicator light is off, it is safe to remove the garment. (Not Pictured) 61 The garment should be loose enough now that you can unzip the garment and remove. (Not Pictured) 13
