EVENT DETAILS Scramble We are honored that you have chosen to join us for the Scramble for Skills Recruitment Drive and Golf Tournament hosted by NCCER s Build Your Future (BYF) initiative. Proceeds from the tournament will assist in BYF s recruitment efforts and promotion of construction careers to eliminate the current and future workforce challenges. Following are some important details concerning the outing: LOCATION: The Scramble for Skills tournament will be held at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club in Orlando, Florida. Breakfast will be served on club grounds and lunch will be served during the awards ceremony. DRESS CODE: All players must comply with the club s dress code that states collared shirts are required. Shorts must be at least mid-thigh in length. No denim. Metal spikes/cleats are prohibited. RENTAL CLUBS: A full set of rental clubs are available for $55, charged to the individual golfer. Staff will coordinate the pick-up and the return of club rentals. HANDLING OF YOUR GOLF CLUBS: Personal clubs are the responsibility of each individual golfer. Scramble staff will coordinate the transportation and staging of clubs during the event times. PAIRINGS: Pairings will be chosen by Scramble staff based on individual golfer handicaps. Golfers are able to request pairings subject to availability. EVENT TIMES: The event begins at 7:30 a.m. with a shotgun start. TRANSPORTATION: Since the course is located right on resort grounds, golfers will meet at the course or schedule a shuttle provided by JW Marriott. RANGE BALLS: Range balls are available and included in your outing fee. PRIZES: A list of prizes are included in this packet. Winners will be announced and prizes awarded at the conclusion of the tournament. PLAY WITH A PGA PRO: During the tournament, each team will have the opportunity to play with nationally-acclaimed PGA golf professionals. SPACE IS LIMITED! There are only 60 golfing slots available. (Breakfast will be provided at the course) 7:30 a.m. Shotgun start 12:00 p.m. Award ceremony at JW Mariott Grand Lakes (winners announced and lunch served) FORMAT: Four-Person Scramble: In a scramble, each player tees off on each hole. The best of the tee shots is selected and all players play their second shots from that spot. The best of the second shots is determined, then all play their third shots from that spot, and so on until the ball is holed. Players may drop within one club length of the chosen shot. Teams may not improve the circumstances of the ball (rough to fairway, fringe to green, etc). Tees: Men will play from the blue tees. Ladies will play from the red tees.
