Movement was slow to moderate with heavy rains across the state hindering hauling. Demand was fairly good for all alfalfa and good quality grass hay. Fourth cutting is nearly completed and supplies and offerings remain light. Prices were fully steady. Wheat planting was 60 percent completed, up nearly 20 percent from last week and 4 percent ahead of average. Moderate to heavy rains across the state this week will result in some wheat acres needing to be replanted. At this time it is unclear how many acres were affected. Alfalfa Central Oklahoma: Supreme quality large square bales 220.00-240.00, instances 250.00. Premium quality 200.00-220.00. Good quality large square and large round bales 180.00-200.00. Fair quality 150.00-170.00. Eastern Oklahoma: No sales reported. Western Oklahoma: Supreme quality large square bales 220.00-240.00, instances 250.00. Grass Hay Central Oklahoma: Good quality Bermuda grass in 4 X 6 through 5 X 6 bales mostly 110.00-140.00 per ton. Good quality mixed grass hay 4 X 5 and 5 X 5 bales 40.00-50.00 per bale. Mixed grass 80.00-90.00 per ton, mostly 85.00. No trend available for feeder heifers this week. Receipts this week consisted of 100 percent over 600 lbs and 52 percent heifers. Unless otherwise stated prices are FOB weigh point with a 2-3 percent shrink or equivalent and with a 8-12 cent slide on calves and 4-8 cent slide on yearlings from base weights.
