BAYSIDE ACADEMY UNIFORM POLICY As we make preparations for this school year, we ask that you review the uniform policy. Please note that the official uniform polos and oxford shirts must have the Bayside monogram. The navy blazers must have the Bayside crest. Pants and shorts meeting our uniform requirement may be purchased from local retailers. However, Zoghby s Uniforms Unlimited is Bayside Academy s designated supplier. PERSONAL APPEARANCE POLICY Students represent the school both on and off campus and are expected to wear the proper uniform in the correct manner each day. It is the responsibility of each student and the parents to be certain that he/she is correctly attired and well groomed. All faculty members are directly responsible for reporting any violation of the personal appearance policy as soon as the violation is observed. HAIR POLICY Inappropriate hair styles, colors, or accessories will not be permitted. Appropriateness will be determined by the administration of Bayside Academy. Boys hair must be kept neat and well groomed. Hair must be cut above the eyes (shall not get in the way of the students being able to see with both eyes), no more than midway of the ears, and above the collar. Boys are to be clean-shaven. Facial hair such as beards and mustaches is not permitted. hair must be neat and well groomed. hair is not to be closely shaved in part or full. If a student fails to comply with the hair policy, the student will be suspended and will remain on suspension until the hair conforms to the hair policy. JEWELRY Boys: No earrings are to be worn while a student is on campus or attending any Bayside event on campus or off campus. Jewelry should be kept simple. : Jewelry should be kept simple. Facial piercings are not permitted. TOPS 1. T-shirts and/or turtlenecks may be worn under uniform shirts. The shirt should be plain white with no visible graphics or writing. 2. This length is also applicable to boys shorts. must not roll the waistband of the skirt/skort or alter the hem to make it shorter than the appropriate length. 3. in grades K-12 may wear navy, black or white tights or full length leggings. SHOES 1. Grades K-2 boys shoes should be solid black, with no designs, stripes or additional colors. They may be lace-up or Velcro. Grades 3-6 boys shoes should be predominantly black, gray, or white athletic colors. 2. Grades K-2 girls shoes should be Navy/white or black/white saddle-oxford tennis shoes. Grades 3-6 girls shoes should be predominantly black, gray, or white athletic colors. 3. Shoes should be worn properly and in the manner for which they are designed (for example: shoes are not slippers). 4. Students needing to wear shoes other than uniform shoes must submit a medical doctor s excuse to the Division Head. Students will not be admitted to class until certain Dress Code violations have been corrected. NOTE: Students will not be sent home for dress code violations. Students will be responsible for all class assignments. OUTERWEAR GRADES K-4 1. Sweaters must be navy; plain/flat knit V-neck or cardigan. Navy sweaters should be worn on Dress Uniform Day as dictated by the weather. Sweatshirts are not worn on Dress Uniform Day. 2. Outer garments that may be worn outside the classroom buildings in cold weather. These are available for purchase from the school store. GRADES 5-12 1. Sweaters must be purchased from the school store. Navy blazers must be worn on Dress Uniform Day. 2. Official Bayside team or activity jackets 3. Bayside sweatshirts or fleece jacket sold in school store If the temperature is 40 degrees or less by the time school starts, students may wear outer wear that is warmer than the above options. MISCELLANEOUS UNIFORM GUIDELINES No caps or head coverings, including visors, are allowed on campus during any school day. No torn or dirty clothes may be worn. Body piercing is not permitted. Tattoos and other types of body art are strongly discouraged. If a student does have a tattoo or body art, it must not be exposed. On half-days, students may wear a Bayside t-shirt with uniform bottoms.

UPPER SCHOOL GRADES 7-12 The purpose of the Upper School dress policy is to encourage students to look neat and presentable, represent Bayside tastefully, all while being comfortable in their learning environment. The dress code provides a healthy amount of latitude and autonomy while still being uniform and unique to Bayside Academy. Note: Seniors may wear monogrammed light blue oxford shirt or light blue polo shirt. Aside from Dress Uniform Tuesday, Seniors, as a privilege, may wear the sweatshirt of a college to which they have applied and been accepted. Specified school club/sport sweat shirt, gray Bayside sweater, or monogram school fleece can be worn as everyday outerwear. *Only the sweater available in the school bookstore may be worn. * Please note that monogrammed oxfords and golf shirts should have the BA or Bayside Academy. The athletic logo, the B with Admirals through it, is for the purpose of spirit wear and not considered part of the uniform.
