Jed and Chris Simpson, Jeff and Elain, Dryal, Susie Parker and myself rode the 163 miles to Jefferson TX. It was a cold ride there but no rain. Greg and Linda Bright drove down. We also had lunch in Jefferson. Then back to the races. The place was packed. The races were fast and fun to watch. One of the best car shows was in Jefferson. I m guessing around 250 cars on display. Jed and friends decided to not camp at the track. I took them to Big Cypress Marine and camp ground. It was a beautiful place to camp on Lake O the Pines. Susie and I stayed with my friend Clint. Thanks Clint. We left early Sunday, back to work darn the luck. It was a lot warmer on the way back. It was a great weekend Mike April Meeting Will be at Terry Martin s Lounge at 2:00PM on the 29 th during the VFW Poker Run and Bike Show (see flyer). The Club will be doing the bike show. Greg Dingler will need your help to work this show. Please be there by 11:00 May Meeting Will be the 26th of May at the Mt Ida Good Old Days car show (see flyer). There will be a ride to Mt Ida for this show leaving the Exxon at Mt Pine & 270 at 8:00, please be there by 7:30, and then set up the bikes for display. All money raised goes to help the Mt Ida 4H club. Please fill out the entry form and bring it with you. June meeting Will be the 24th at the Mini Road Run. Meet at the Transport Depot at 11:30 AM and leave at Noon for a short ride to Gulpha Gorge on small bikes. The meeting will be at 2:00 PM Get those little bikes running. More details to follow.

ABATE District 14 Southern Cruisers The Third Annual Spa City Rally turned out to be a great success again this year. Almost $2500 was raised to help women and children with the selected charity B.A.R.B.S. Thanks to all the motorcycle clubs for their great work on this event. The following clubs were at this event: Ouachita Travelers VFW Riders Group Survivors Harley Owners Group Great job to all - Thanks, Mike Thomson May 19 SWAHA Classic Car and Bike Show at Murfeesboro. There will be a ride to the show leaving the Valero Station at Airport Rd and the Bypass 9:00. Please be there by 8:30. The distance to Murfeesboro is 63 miles one way. There will also be some trailering bikes to the show. Email your entry form by May 7 to receive the T-shirt for this show, there is no fee for bikes. Meet at transportation depot and leave at 12:00 for ride to Gulpha Gorge and meeting Minutes from March 31, 2012 Club Meeting AMCA Diamond Chapter of Hot Springs The regular meeting was called to order by President Mike Thomson at Landers Harley. This was the day of the Spring Benefit Rally. The club ran the Bike Show for the event. The crowd was great with lots of booths and activities. The treasurer s report was given by Mike Thomson in Susie Parkers absence. It was accepted as presented with an ending balance of $1423.49. The minutes were also accepted as presented in the newsletter. Thanks were given to Katherine for the great newsletter. She asked for stories to be submitted and anything else members would like to see in the newsletter. Not much info on the Arlington Lawn Show. It is still up in the air about the availability of the park. We will keep checking with the park service on this matter. Events April 21 Diamond Dons Vintage Motocross, Jefferson TX Club will ride together leaving Caddo Valley McDonalds at 8:30am April 29 th VFW show, Terry Martins, Club will run bike show May 26 th Good Old Days, Mt Ida This will be our May Meeting May 31 Mid America Bike Week - Antique show in Convention Center will be run by the club June 24 th 2 nd Annual Historic Downtown Mini Road Run. Meet at Transportation Plaza at 11:00am and ride through downtown Hot Springs and end at the Gorge Park for meeting and refreshments, Respectfully submitted Linda Bright

UPDATE for Mid America Bike Week Registrations for Mid-America Bike Week are going well. We have groups coming from New York, Seattle, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Kansas, Michigan, Texas, Florida, Alabama, Missouri, and Oklahoma. We have also added a rally within a rally for Motorcycle Ministries called the SPOKE and WORD RALLY where we will have Christian services every morning. You can review our program online at Mid-AmericaBikeWeek.org. All of the registration information can be found there.
