Leonard was born in Oak Harbor, Washington, to loving parents, Ralph and Jane West, on March 12, 1948, while his father was stationed there. His family then settled in Florida where he graduated from Lyman High School (Longwood), and later, Florida State University in 1972 (where he was also a coach s assistant). Also, while at Florida State, he met his loving wife of 47 years, Gayle. Leonard was known to many as Coach. He was a wonderful mentor, and influence, as a basketball/baseball coach for many years at Metter High School, Auburn at Montgomery, Etowah High School, and Gordon College. His hobbies included golf, collecting sports memorabilia, and loved nothing more than spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.

Durden has guided the Lady Wolves to 6 state titles, 2 state runner-ups, 7 region championships and a program record of 317-65. Durden s overall career record is 750-209. Coach Durden is tied for 5 th All-time with 6 state titles. ANDY COWART GHSA RULES CLINIC 2018-2019 Andy Cowart officiated GHSA and NCAA basketball for 38 years before his retirement in 2016. He worked many GHSA playoff games including state championship games spanning over 2 decades PRESS OFFENSE/FASTBREAK- COACH PETE AYCOCK 23 seasons as a head coach. 460 Wins. Appling county boys coach 3 region titles, 3 coach of the year awards, record 143-22. Monticello high school, MS., 4 District titles, 3 Southern MS. titles, 180 wins. Cathedral Academy, 108-29, 3 Region titles. Draughons Juco won Coach of the Year. Honors and regular State title and team scoring title. DEFENSIVE OVERPLAY- COACH LAVON MERCER During a major transition for basketball at the University of Georgia in the late 1970 s, Lavon Mercer helped set the bricks for their only final four run. Mercer ended his college career with a career averaging 11.5 points and 7.8 rebounds, holds the #1 spot for career blocks with 302 and field goal percentage at.602, and holds the best single season field goal percentage at.642 in 1979. Led his team in Israel to 6 Israel titles, played for the 1986 FIBA National team. DEFENSIVE SYSTEM A.C. MCCULLERS Has Coached Varsity Girls and Boys Basketball for 50 years. Current head varsity girls basketball coach at Strong Rock Christian. 910 Career wins. 4 GHSA State basketball titles. 2 GHSA Runner-ups. 4 GHSA Coach of the Year Awards. 1 National Coach of the Year Award. 4 Girls Basketball GHSA State Titles with Morrow ( 1989, 1990, 1991, 1993) Coach McCullers is 15 th on the All-time state titles list with 4. THE PACK-LINE DEFENSE COACH MAURICE SMITH Georgia College coach Maurice Smith wasted no time making his mark in the Bobcat records, leading his 2010-11 squad to the Peach Belt Championship in just his first season at the helm. Now beginning year number nine as head coach, Smith has guided his guided his squad to three PBC Tournament Title games and an 120-90 overall record.. BALL SCREEN OFFENSE- COACH MARK GAINOUS- Head Men s Basketball Coach Georgia College and State University from 2014. He was the PBC Conference Coach of the Year. In 2015-16 His team went 18-11 and captured a Peach Belt Conference tournament berth. Gainous patrolled the sidelines for the Bobcats as an assistant men s basketball coach. As an assistant, Gainous helped the team to a 171-131 record including 4 20-win seasons. YOUTH DEVELOPMENT- COACH BRAD BUTTERWORTH- Director of Education and programs for Shoot360. Brad Butterworth has been in basketball development for 18 years as a head high school and collegiate coach. As a high school coach, he was able to help guide Dana Hills to its best records in school history. He's worked with Florida State University, Western Washington University, Air Force Academy and Colorado College. Coach Butterworth's success at the high school level was due to the work he put into the youth of his program in order to create a more competitive community and repeat success.
