ST. LAWRENCE SCHOOL His Banner Over Us Is Love Dear St. Lawrence School Families, Our Read Across America Celebration on Friday was a huge success! Our students had so much fun dressing in an Alaskan inspired costume and participating in all of the fun Iditarod themed activities. I am happy to announce that the students read and successfully passed Accelerated Reader Quizzes for 1,340 books. Way to go St. Lawrence School! I would like to thank Ms. Fraser and our Read Across America Committee: Ms. LaRue, Ms. Raker, and Ms. Spencer for organizing and running this amazing event. Thank you to all of our faculty, staff, and volunteers for working to make this a truly memorable day for our students! For the past few weeks, we have been fortunate to have some of our parents who are dentists visit St. Lawrence School to speak with our students about oral health. I would like to thank Dr. Gerry Cellura, Dr. Sean McLaren, Dr. Thomas Sansone, and Dr. Maxwell Thaney for volunteering their time to visit classrooms and teach our students about keeping their teeth healthy and clean. We are so lucky to have such talented and caring parents willing to share their knowledge and expertise with our students! St. Lawrence School will again be participating in the St. Patrick s Day Parade in Rochester this year. The parade will begin at 12:30 PM on Saturday, March 11 th. We will be carrying our school banner and marching with other Catholic schools in the Diocese. This year, any student who marches in the parade will be able to participate in a special dress down day on Monday, March 13 th. This year s parade information can be found at http://rochesterparade.com/. We will send out more information to everyone later this week regarding the meeting location and time. I am looking forward to a large turnout of students and families to represent St. Lawrence School this Saturday! On June 11, 2017, St. Lawrence Church and School will be holding a Golf Fundraising Tournament at Timber Ridge Golf Club. Please see the flyer below today s newsletter for more information.
