2013 Season Practice Schedule August 5 st First Practice- A, B, & C squads, Spry Middle School (does not include Flag) Monday through Thursday 6:00-8:00 August 12 th A, B, & C squads move to Webster Ice Arena (Indoor Soccer Field) Monday through Thursday 6:00-8:00 August 13 th Flag Cheer Starts-Webster Ice Arena (Indoor Soccer Field) Tuesday and Thursday- 6:00 to 7:30 Practice Schedule for September: Flag: A Team: B Team: C Team: Tuesday & Thursday 6:00-7:30pm Tuesday & Thursday 6:00-8:00pm Tuesday & Thursday 6:00-8:00pm Tuesday & Thursday 6:00-8:00pm It is mandatory that each cheerleader is at every practice. One missing team member can prevent the entire squad from being able to practice. **There will be an additional Practices the week before competitions** Monday, October 7 th 6:00-8:00 as we prepare for Cheer for Charity Wednesday, October 16 th 6:00-8:00 as we prepare for our AYFCL Competition
Practice Attire The cheerleaders should wear comfortable clothing (t-shirts, gym shorts). Please no spaghetti straps and no skirts or jeans! They should have sneakers with laces and backs/socks. Hair should be pulled back and up in ponytail. There is no jewelry to be worn for both practices and games. No nail polish for both games and competitions Practice General Info Due to space availability, safety, and distractions, parents will not be allowed to stay and watch practices. However, all cheerleaders regardless of age must be picked up inside the building. Please pick them up, in the area behind the net, and be prepared with identification to sign them out. No food or beverage is allowed on the turf. Water bottles are okay, but only plain water (no flavored waters or Gatorade). Be sure your cheerleader is hydrated throughout the entire day and has water with her at every practice. Please have your child go to the bathroom prior to practice and check that she is not wearing any jewelry. Please drop off & pick up on time!
Fun Nights 2013 Each Thursday night in August, we will hold fun nights. All week long, teams can strive to have the most spirit, cheerleaders can strive to be most improved, and individuals can try to have the craziest spirit of the day: Thursday, August 8th - Thursday, August 15 th Thursday, August 22nd Thursday, August 29th - Ice Cream Social & Color Day: A team: Orange B Team Purple C Team: Yellow Flag: Pink Spirit Day (Wear our colors: BLUE, GOLD, WHITE) Crazy Sock Day Crazy Hair Day Parent Performance Preview Night at 7:30 Competitions 2013 Tentative dates (may change): October 12 th - Cheer for Charity at Webster Thomas Field House October 19th AYFCL League Competition at RIT Field House **All teams (except flag) will remain at competitions to support their sister teams!** Note: While we will strive to look great, perform well, and be our best, every time we hit the floor, it is important to remember that we are a recreational league where anyone who wants to cheer is able to join (there are no tryouts). Our goal for all is to HAVE FUN, while safely learning to cheer! Parents should also consider dressing in our colors (cheer shirts/wjw-wjt attire) to cheer on our AWESOME TEAMS!!!! *** Please note that competitions places/dates may change due to scheduling availability. WJW /WJT Competition 2013 Supply List Below is a list of hair supplies each cheerleader will need for competitions. 1. A firm NON Aerosol hairspray Example: Aussie Instant Freeze, Pump it up, Hot, Hot, Hot, Rave 2. Sponge Rollers 2-3 packages (more if hair is very thick), as small possible for your daughter s hair type. 3. Bobby Pins Try to match hair color (lighter ones for lighter hair, darker for dark hair). 4. Bandana Any color or style as long as it can hold hair in the rollers overnight. 5. Cheer Bows (Supplied by league and will be handed out closer to game date) The cheer bow will be used in all competitions and games (please keep it in a safe place) Please label all items (except cheer bow) and place in a bag/container and bring to hair curling party. Hair curling parties are held the evening prior to most competitions, typically Friday evenings, and at a Host parent s home. The girls should wear tops they can sleep in, and that either button down or have a very large head opening to avoid touching the hair. During the party, girls will get their hair done, eat, and have team building activities. Parents will be asked to provide a dish to pass to some parties, if possible. Parents should also consider dressing in our colors (cheer shirts) for our AWESOME TEAMS!!!!

July 15 th to July 18 th Webster Schroeder High School Cheer Camp (Monday Thursday 5 to 9pm). July 23 th to July 26th- Webster Thomas High School Cheer Camp (Tuesday- Friday 12:30 to 4:30). July 29 th Cheer Uniform Sizing Make-up (Monday 6:00-8:00) Boulter Field Concession Stand/Shed. Bring your SMILES and be ready for cheer on August 5 th! We look forward to a great season!!!!
