We ll be holding Packet Pickup the day before the race on Friday, Sep. 14th. Those who come to Packet Pickup will receive a $5 merchandise credit to use on our TGIR swag. If you cannot attend Packet Pickup, you can still pick up your race packet 30 minutes prior to your wave time on Race Day. We encourage everyone to come to Packet Pickup in order to avoid long lines on Race Day. When: Sep. 14th from 1 PM to 7 PM Where: Rabkin Park 1 Swanstrom PI E. Union, NJ 07083 What you should bring: Your race ticket with the QR code. (You can print your ticket or show it on your mobile device.) Extra cash or your credit card to buy some epic TGIR gear! If you re picking up race packets for your friends, either bring their race tickets or a signed permission slip (found at the end of this Inflatable Info) saying that you can pick up their packets. Race day Schedule: 8:00 AM - Race Day Packet Pickup opens 8:30 AM - Runners begin to arrive 9:00 AM - First wave starts 11:00 AM - Final wave of runners starts 12:00 PM - Finish Time Where: Union High School 2350 North 3rd Street Union, NJ 07083 HEATS: 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. *Runners are sent every half hour at assigned wave times. Wave times can be found on your ticket confirmation underneath the QR code. No Shoes on inflatables! For the safety of all participants, there will be NO shoes allowed on inflatables. Participants are welcome to remove their shoes at each inflatable or check them with out staff at the start line to be picked up at the finish line. Grip socks will be provided for all participants who have registered prior to Friday May 4, 2018. DIRECTIONS Union Township is going to be home to more bouncy fun than you can handle! For directions, visit Google Maps or MapQuest and type in the below address: PARKING Union High School 2350 North 3rd Street Union, NJ 07083 Parking will be available at Union High School. Parking for the event will be free. We encourage you to carpool or take public transportation where possible. Please be courteous to others, and watch for pedestrians in the parking lot and other areas.
We have a few requests below that will help you have a great time and enjoy a safe event. Please review the rules with your friends before the event! Arrival: Please show up 30-45 minutes before your scheduled wave to ensure you can find parking and make your way to the start/finish area. No Shoes on inflatables! For the safety of all participants, there will be NO shoes allowed on inflatables. Participants are welcome to remove their shoes at each inflatable or check them with out staff at the start line to be picked up at the finish line. Grip socks will be provided for all participants who have registered prior to Friday May 4, 2018. wave time Wristbands: Each participant will receive a wristband with your wave time printed on it. You MUST WEAR YOUR WAVE TIME WRISTBAND in order to participate in the race. Dress Up: We highly encourage wearing costumes, matching T -shirts, tutus, mohawks, wigs, etc., because it never hurts to spice things up a bit. Waves: Each wave is designed to go quickly and smoothly, but how quickly a participant will complete the course may vary. Please be patient if you do not immediately start at your designated wave time. We promise everyone will get a turn.
Water: There will be a water station roughly half way through the course and at the end of the race. If you require additional water prior to crossing the finish line, we ask that you bring your own water. Avoid colorful language. Remember, this is a family-friendly event. No alcohol is allowed at The Great Inflatable Race. Strollers are welcome, but please start at the back of your assigned wave group. Walkers on the right, runners on the left. Follow directions provided by security, medical staff, race officials and volunteers. Kids MUST be accompanied by their parents at all times. Throw away your own trash; please do not litter! Race Cancellation/Refunds: A kind reminder that there are no refunds under any circumstances for this event. The Great Inflatable Race is typically a rain or shine event. Lightning, heavy rain, or high winds are a couple examples of weather conditions that may result in cancellation or delay of the event. Please come prepared for weather. RACE DAY DISCLAIMER: If the race is cancelled due to weather conditions and/or an act of God, or a participant is not able to participate the day of the event, we regret there will be NO REFUNDS. It s true! They re very stylish, and they ll help you brag about your inflatable glory! Socks Who doesn t love an awesome pair of crazy socks? Our Inflatable Village contains additional inflatable fun for you and your family. These inflatables are separate from the 8-10 inflatable obstacles along the race course. The Inflatable Village has something for everyone! You can test your skills on our Sticky wall, box with your friends, and run through our aquarium-themed bouncy house! Everyone can come into our Inflatable Village to check out our vendor booths and visit with our charity partners. To get your bounce on in the Inflatable Village you will need a VIP Race Ticket. You can also purchase passes to the Inflatable Village at our registration tent for $15. Charity Thank you for helping us support Union High School Project Graduation!
