As always the kids club will be open and fully supervised at the RSL from 6pm to 10pm. No prior bookings can be made but feel free to pop in one night, keeping in mind that numbers are limited. The Christmas Party on the Greens is an exclusive event for our members. Join us on the greens on Friday December 7 from 5pm for a fun filled night of entertainment for everyone! There s heaps of free fun for the kids with jumping castles, fairy floss, popcorn a giant maze and of course a visit from Santa. Food and beverages will be available from our pop up bar and food trucks. There will be table settings and umbrellas however feel free to bring along a picnic rug. Please remember no heels are to be worn on the greens. We are super excited to be providing entertainment by Matt Olsen and crew plus the Mighty Yak who will break for a spectacular fireworks display at approximately 8.30pm. The Mighty Yak will continue to entertain you until 10pm. I have been in drought for two years and have been forced to sell all my stock except 200 breeder for little money which has all been spent on fodder. To make things worse my normal employee hurt his knee and has been off work for 6 months so his wife and I have been feeding the cattle. Instant Karma features Matt Olsen on lead vocals supported by the Groove Factorie band, Dale Allison, Dave Wall, Geoff Simpson and Riley McPherson. 15TH DECEMBER LIVE & FREE IN THE LOUNGE I was delighted last weekend to receive nine bales of hay from Need for Feed and also a gift package which contained a message from the Wagga RSL and Commercial Club, fuel cards, groceries and a message from school children from Wagga Christian College. I have written separately to the school. The fuel cards will be much appreciated as I live 64km from Mudgee and Lithgow and 82km from Bathurst where I have to go for medical appointments as I have macular degeneration in my eyes. The groceries were also very welcome as I will not have any income from the farm for 12 months even if the drought subsides and we have had little rain. Given the present seasonal conditions I will not be able to make any hay again this year so the future looks bleak. Please pass onto all those who contributed to the hay run and gift pack my sincere appreciation and thanks. It certainly made my day last Saturday as I am becoming desperate for feed with little money left. The generosity of Wagga Wagga is much appreciated.

KEVIN KERR A big congratulations goes to Kevin Kerr who was a Spirit of Anzac Award winner announced at this year s RSL & Services Clubs Association conference in September. Kevin was awarded Highly Commended for the Outstanding Community Member Award. We are thankful for all the contribution that Kevin has made to the Wagga RSL Sub Branch and our community and wish him and his family nothing but happiness and health for the years ahead. We assisted Stephen with the purchase of some new archery targets to help out with all his practice leading into the games. Stephen joined the RAAF in 1987 where he was deployed numerous times to Afghanistan and spent some of his military career in Malaysia, Hawaii and around Australia. He now suffers from a range of mental and physical injuries; including PTSD, depression, and anxiety as a result of a car accident and compounded by illness and deployment to Afghanistan. "Getting involved with sport has given me a purpose, a reason to get out of bed. I have met some really awesome people along the way, people that I talk to through social media and look forward to meeting at the training camps. I have met people from other countries which I stay in contact with and they are all like family and all help with the journey.
