Cocktail dining at the Castle of Bellver Castillo de Bellver (transport provided) 20:00hrs - 22:00hrs Oyster has exclusive use of Bellver Castle for what is set to be a memorable evening to celebrate our first day's racing. The day's prize giving will be held on arrival at the Castle followed by cocktails, tapas and entertainment fit for a castle. Bellver Castle: Spain s only round castle stands impressively above the city of Palma with wonderful views over the bay and the island. Built in the 14th Century and used as a royal residence, the castle was subsequently used as a military prison in 18th-20th Centuries. TU ESDA Y 2ND OCTOBER Race Day 2: Passage Race to reserved berthing in Andratx marina. Casual drinks party on the dock and day's prize giving Andratx Marina 18:00hrs - 20:00hrs Yachts to make own dinner arrangements in Andratx. Port d Andratx: Located on the southwestern corner of Mallorca. A picturesque harbour and stylish port with a well equipped yacht club offering more than 450 berths. Although Port d'andratx caters well for the yachting set, Port d Andratx is still a working fishing port where you can sit outside one of the many cafés and bars watching the bustle of daily maritime life. WEDNESDAY 3RD OCTOBER Race Day 3: Fancy dress passage race back to reserved berthing in RCNP. Fancy dress to impress the judges (and the photographer) on the finish line of Race Day 3. Start planning those outfits now! Paella Show-Cooking Experience in the 'Oyster Lounge'. Learn the tricks of the trade from an award-winning chef as the sun goes down over the bay. The enchanting Alfabia estate, nestled in the foothills of the Sierra de Tramuntana mountains, is a lush and tranquil oasis. MEDIA RIGHTS WAIVER By participating in the Regatta, owners and their guests and crews grant, at no cost, the absolute right and permission for the Organising Authority and Sponsors to use their name, voice, image, likeness and representation of their boat in any media including, but not limited to, television, print, and internet media including video footage, for the purposes of editorial, advertising, promotion or press information. In this respect, competitors names and any biographical material of themselves may also be used or reproduced in any way known. DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY Each yacht is entirely responsible for its own safety, whether afloat or ashore, and nothing, whether in the Notice of Regatta or Sailing Instructions or anywhere else, reduces that responsibility. It is for the skipper of the yacht to decide whether the yacht is seaworthy and/or fit to sail in any conditions that may be encountered. By going to sea, the skipper confirms that the yacht is seaworthy and fit and that its crew is competent to sail in any conditions that may be encountered. Nothing done by the Organising Authority can reduce the responsibility of the skipper nor will it make the Organising Authority responsible for any loss, damage or personal injury, however the same may have occurred, as a result of the yacht s participation at the event. The term Organising Authority shall include any person helping to run and/or assist with the event and it includes, but is not limited to Real Club Nautico de Palma, the Race Committee, Principal Race Officer, trustees, support boat, sponsor, supporters and other companies and organisations officially involved with the event. If any provision in this section (Disclaimer of Liability) is deemed for any reason to be invalid, void or deleted, the remainder of this section and this agreement shall nevertheless remain in force. The safety of a boat and her entire management, including insurance, shall be the sole responsibility of the Owner/Skipper who must ensure that the boat is fully sound, thoroughly seaworthy, manned by a crew sufficient in number and experience who are physically fit to face bad weather. The Owner/Skipper must be satisfied as to the soundness of the hull, spars, rigging and all gear. He/she must ensure that all safety equipment is properly maintained, stowed and in date and that the crew know where it is kept and how it is to be used. The Owner/Skipper bears full responsibility for the conduct and good behaviour of their crew and guests for the duration of the Regatta. Neither the establishment of these conditions, nor their use by the Organising Authority and the Regatta Committee, in any way limits the absolute responsibility of the Owner/Skipper. The crew is nonetheless advised to satisfy themselves as to the experience of the skipper and the adequacy of all safety equipment and insurance arrangements. It is a condition of entry that owners taking part in the Oyster Regatta Palma 2018 accept this disclaimer of liability on behalf of themselves and their crew.
