GENERAL SAFETY 1. When unpacking this product, carefully inspect for any damage that may have occurred during transit. Make sure any loose fittings, bolts, etc., are tightened before putting this product into service. 2. This product is part of a high-pressure system and the following safety precautions must be followed at all times along with any other existing safety rules. 3. Read all manuals included with this product carefully. Be thoroughly familiar with the controls and proper use of equipment. 4. Only persons well acquainted with these rules of safe operation should be allowed to use the air tool. 5. DO NOT EXCEED MAXIMUM OPERATION PRESSURE OF THE AIR TOOL (6.2BAR/90 PSI). THE AIR TOOL COULD EXPLODE AND RESULT IN DEATH OR SERIOUS PERSONAL INJURY. 6. Disconnect the air tool from air supply before changing tools or attachments, servicing and during non-operation. 7. Do not wear loose fitting clothing, scarves, or neckties. Loose clothing may become caught in moving parts and result in serious personal injury. 8. Do not depress trigger when connecting the air supply hose. 9. Always use attachments designed for use with air-powered tools. Do not use damaged or worn attachments. 10. Never trigger the tool when not applied to a work object. Attachments must be securely attached. Loose attachments can cause serious injury. 11. Protect airlines from damage or puncture. 12. Never point an air tool at oneself or any other person. Serious injury could occur. 13. Check air hoses for weak or worn condition before each use. Make sure all connections are secured. 14. RELEASE ALL PRESSURE FROM THE SYSTEM BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO INSTALL, SERVICE, RELOCATE OR PREFORM ANY MAINTENANCE. 15. Keep all nuts, bolts and screws tight and ensure equipment is in safe working condition. 16. Do not put hands near or under moving parts. 17. WARNINGS a. Wear Hearing and Eye Protection when using this air tool. b. Power tools are not generally insulated for coming into contact with electric power sources. c. High reaction torques can be developed in the case of stalling. Stalling can be caused by excessive loads being applied to the drill bit, the drill it snags on the material being drilled into or when the drill bit breaks through the material being drilled. d. The unexpected tool movement or breakage of inserted tool may cause injuries to hands or feet. 3

INSTALL AND STORAGE 1. Air Line a. 3/8 Hose is recommended for this product. b. Install an air filter and an oiler between compressor and the tool. c. Clean air hose with a blast of compressed air before connecting the hose to air tool. This will prevent both moisture and compressed air from entering the tool and causing rust or malfunctioning. d. Replace any hose that is damaged, weak or worn. 2. Never carry a tool by the hose or pull the hose to move the tool or a compressor. Keep hoses away from heat, oil and sharp edges. 3. Storage a. The drill must be lubricated before storing. Follow the air motor lubrication instructions with an exception to the last step. Only run the drill for 2 to 3 seconds instead of 20 to 30 seconds because more oil needs to remain in the drill when storing. MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTION 1. Lubrication a. Proper lubrication is the owner s responsibility. Failure to lubricate the air tool properly will dramatically shorten the life of the tool. b. This drill requires lubrication before the initial use and before and after each additional use. c. The drill requires lubrication throughout the life of the tool. Follow the outlined procedures for lubricating the air motor. The air motor cannot be lubricated too often. i. Disconnect the drill from the air supply before lubricating. ii. Turn the drill upside down. iii. Simultaneously pull the trigger and pour a teaspoon of oil in the air inlet. iv. After an air tool has been lubricated, oil will discharge through the exhaust port during the first few seconds of operation. Thus, the exhaust port must be covered with a towel before applying air pressure. v. Connect the drill to the air supply and cover the exhaust port with a towel. Run the drill for 20 to 30 seconds. Oil will discharge from the exhaust port when air pressure is applied. 4

Adjusting the Drilling Depth Set Drilling Depth to 0.8mm Turn the black adjustment ring until the drill bit edges are on the same line as the recessed portion of the drill guides. Increase Drilling Depth Turn the black adjustment ring to the right in order to raise the drill bit above the recessed portion of the drill guides. Decrease Drilling Depth Turn the black adjustment ring to the left in order to drop the drill bit below the recessed portion of the drill guides. 5

Drilling Setup STEP 1 - Adjusting the Trigger Handle Turn thumbscrew clockwise until it stops. (Fig.1) Fig.1 STEP 2 - Depth Check Press the rear handle gently (Fig.2) up to the point when the drill bit is touching the surface (Fig.3). Fig.2 Fig.3 STEP 3 - Re-adjusting the Trigger Handle Keep the trigger gently pressed wile turning the thumbscrew counterclockwise simultaneously (Fig.4). The drill bit should still be touching the surface. Turn thumbscrew counterclockwise until the drill bit starts turning. The Spot Weld Drill is now set. Fig.4 Note - Steps 1-3 should be repeated if total thickness of sheet metal will change. 6

GENERAL TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE SYMPTOM - Tool runs slowly or will not operate. Possible Cause - Grit or gum in tool. Corrective Action - Flush the tool with air tool oil, gum solvent, or an equal mixture of SAE #10 motor oil and kerosene. Lubricate the tool after cleaning. Possible Cause - No oil in tool. Corrective Action - Lubricate the tool according to the lubrication instructions in this manual. Possible Cause - Low air pressure. Corrective Action - Adjust the compressor regulator to the tool. Possible Cause - Air hose leaks. Corrective Action - Tighten and seal hose fittings if leaks are found. Possible Cause - Pressure drops. Corrective Action - Do not use a multiple number of hoses connected together with quick disconnect fittings. This causes additional pressure drops and reduces the tool power. Possible Cause - Worn ball bearing in motor. Corrective Action - Remove and inspect bearing for rust, dirt and grit or excesive wear. Clean and regress bearing with bearing grease. SYMPTOM - Moisture blowing out of tool. Possible Cause - Water in tank. Corrective Action - Drain tank. (See air compressor manual) Oil tool and run until no water is evident. Oil tool again and run 1-2 seconds. Possible Cause - Water in the air lines / hoses. Corrective Action - Install a water separator / filter. Note - Seperators only work properly when the air passing through the separator is cool. Locate the seperator as far as possible from the compressor. If that does not work, install an air dryer. 7
