The Committee decided that is was good to use the interests of both members and have asked Tom to become Junior Captain with Joe as Vice Captain. Next year Joe will take over as Junior Captain and a new Vice Captain will be appointed. Mike Williams has indicated that this will be his last year as Secretary. If there is a member or parent of a Junior member who would be prepared to shadow Mike with a view to taking on this role in the future please let David or Mike know.
New Website: Mollie Chard new website manager NEW WEBSITE We are moving to a new website, its construction and management will be the responsibility of our Chairman s daughter Mollie. We hope to develop the facility so that members can pay fees and purchase kit from an online shopping facility. The website will be open access but have a member s only section accessible by password when a subscription has been paid. Senior Training Starts St Peters School, Exeter Thurs 20th August from 7.00pm Read more for details of times for each squad. Please keep Juniors safe by not entering the caged area to knock up when they are training. SENIOR TRAINING Senior training starts on Thursday August 20th at St Peters School led by Senior Coach Garry Nash. Garry will personally coach the 6pm and 7pm sessions. As last year there will be no charge made for training as it is included in membership. Please note the following times: Training for 3 rd, 4 th and 5 th Team Squads plus boys over the age of 14 on Sept 1 st 2015, that is year 10 and above will be between 7-00 and 8-15. Boys under the age of 14 may only attend this session by invitation. Training for 1 st and A Team Squads is between 8-15 and 9-30. First and B team squad members will be contacted by their respective captains and invited to this session. Please note, at the request of the coaches and as a safety issue, players will not be allowed into the caged pitch area to knock up balls whilst Juniors or B, C and D Teams are having their coaching session. This is particularly important during the Junior Training period between 6-00 and 7-00 pm. Junior Training Year 9 and below JUNIOR TRAINING DATES Junior training starts on Thursday September 17 th at St Peters School, Exeter, from 6-00-7.00 led by Senior Coach and new Youth Co-ordinator Garry Nash. Boys and Girls under the age of 14 on Sept 1 st 2015, year 9 and below are welcomed to this training session led by senior and junior coaches.

Reductions made for family membership. We will be keeping a weekly registration to monitor attendance. Remember we ask for no payment for the first two weeks which are offered as a trial. If you know of other children interested in being coached hockey by well qualified coaches in a friendly environment please forward this email to them with our details. Please remind under 18 s that they must have shin guards and mouth guard for all hockey training and games, sticks for juniors are available. In order to maximise pitch time, from the first week we will have club members available to take details from 5.45 pm. We have entered the Devon U16, U14 and U 12 and U10 Competitions. Parents will be sent the dates as soon as we have constructed the timetable. MEMBERSHIP FORM Please find attached a membership form which needs to be returned to Chris Odgers (contact in the notes or on the membership form) before the season starts so all players Senior and Junior can be registered with the Hockey Association and League. Please forward this email to anybody you think might be interested in playing, coaching or umpiring hockey and bring them along to a training session.
Managers and help required for: U16, u14, U 12 and U10 teams Speak to Garry Nash MANAGERS AND HELP FOR U16, U14,U12 AND U10 We will be needing managers for the Under 16s, Under 14, Under 12 s and Under 10 s when they are involved in tournaments. If you think you can offer a commitment to be the named manager of one of these teams please speak to Junior Coordinator Garry Nash. Parents prepared to drive to away matches and offer help with supervision will also be required. So when you get the Junior Fixtures please note when your son could be involved in a competition and let us know if you are prepared to help with transport. We will publish the names and contact numbers of the Junior Managers when they are decided so parents will have a one point contact for each of the age group teams. Fixtures, Venues and Teas First League Match Saturday Sept 26 th A and B in same league C in SW2 Other than First team all teams to share the 16-00 slot at St Peters. Teas at Jubilee Sally Hammond TEAMS, FIXTURES, VENUES AND TEAS The first League Games start on September 26 th with some friendlies and inter club games on the preceding 3 Saturdays. The A and B team are in the same league this season, the promoted C team play in the South West 2 league, playing each team three times. Again when three teams are playing in Exeter we will be using St Peters for games at 2-30 and 4-00 and the St Luke s pitch at times to be confirmed As requested at the AGM, A, B, C and D teams will all share the 16-00 slot at St Peters. We hope therefore to get as many club members and their families back to the Jubilee after the game. The Jubilee is the best venue we have had for some years and it is important that all members try and get back after a game to support our continual use of the club. Teas this year will be provided by Sally Hammond who plans to offer a variety of food.
