SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS Announcement The South Australian Off Road Championships Sports Manager and his Advisory Committee and above listed clubs, hereafter called the Promoter will conduct the 2015 South Australian Off Road Championship Series for Junior and Senior riders at the above venues on the above listed dates. Jurisdiction & Warning The above meetings will be held in accordance with the 2015 Manual of Motorcycle Sport, these series regulations, 2015 South Australian Off Road Championships Rules and any final instructions issued upon acceptance of entry. These events are open to holders of current Motorcycling Australia National & Junior National Licences. NO ROUNDS REQUIRE REGISTERED OR PERMITTED BIKES AND MOTORCYCLES IN MOTOCROSS TRIM WILL BE ALLOWED. BY ENTERING THESE MEETINGS, ALL PARTIES AGREE TO COMPLY WITH THESE RULES, REGULATIONS AND INSTRUCTIONS. Entries Entries will be available from the of March 2015 for the 1 st event and all entries close last mail 14 DAYS BEFORE THE EVENT. Entries through the mail must come with 2 reply paid envelopes, if directions to the event and results are required. Entries and payments are available online at www.saoffroadchampionships.com We encourage riders to use this facility. Online payments are securely managed through paypal and can be made by direct transfer or credit cards. In the case of abandonment or postponement of the meeting, all or any part of the entry fee may be retained by the promoter if approved by MSA. Only entries received on official entry forms with the correct fee will be accepted. Note: The return of entry fees to a competitor who withdraws from the event is at discretion of the promoter. AORC Rounds The two AORC Rounds in the 2015 championships are also two rounds of the SAORC and count for the SAORC series. Entry for both rounds is by the normal SA process and using SA numbers. All riders entering the SAORC are automatically in the AORC and do not require a separate entry Entry for the two rounds attracts one AORC transponder fee of $15 for Junior and Senior. The entry fee for seniors is $80 per round plus $15 making a total of $95 and two rounds $175 The entry fee for juniors is $65 per round plus $15 making a total of $80 and two rounds $145 Under the AORC rules the JJ Class (65cc - 2 stroke) is not permitted to ride the SAORC/AORC rounds At the SAORC/AORC rounds there will be no J1 class results for the AORC - however there will be results for the Jl Class in the SAORC Insurance National Personal Accident Scheme provides basic cover for death and permanent disability. Ambulance Insurance is compulsory for all riders entering. IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED THAT COMPETITORS GIVE CONSIDERATION TO TAKING OUT WEEKLY BENEFITS INSURANCE. Medical Services Trained Ambulance personnel will be in attendance at all race meetings throughout the duration of the event.

Entry Fees Entry Seniors: (Rounds 1,4,5,6,7) Early bird entry $85 late entry $100. Entry Juniors: (Rounds 1,4,5,6,7) Early bird entry $70 late entry $85 Entry Juniors / Seniors: Entries without Payment will not be accepted. Riders who do not enter by the due dates are liable to pay the late fee and clubs will not waive the additional $15 unless there has been a problem with the entry process at our end. Cheques and Money Orders are to be made out to the promoters of the each event and sent to the corresponding address. Final instructions and results will be available online, Remember entries close 14 DAYS before the event for mail entries and 7 DAYS for online entries. Bike capacity, brand, MA Licence number and any sponsors they wish listed are also required. Riders who rode the 2014 series and attained a podium finish have been allocated the first 3 numbers from experts through to clubman. Those riders requesting other numbers than the top three allocations can use them as long as they remain in the number classification of their class. Seeding will be done for all classes at the organising clubs discretion and may be adjusted throughout an event. Numbers must be displayed on the front and both sides of the motorcycle with numbers as per the GCR s. Backgrounds are as follows: Pro and Expert Clubman Women Vets / Masters - Junior Red Backgrounds with white numbers Yellow Backgrounds with Black numbers Blue Backgrounds with Yellow numbers Yellow Backgrounds with Black numbers J1 & JJ - Yellow Backgrounds with Black numbers J2 Red Backgrounds with White numbers J3 & J4 Black Backgrounds with Yellow numbers Junior Lite Women Black Backgrounds with Yellow numbers

Any juniors with motocross numbers may use them regardless of the class entered. Junior motocross background colours may also be used and only riders without motocross numbers need to comply with the above, however all numbers must be registered with the sports manager by emailing seriesadmin@saoffroadchampionships.com and giving name race number, MA licence number, machine capacity, machine make and any sponsors. Riders Briefing Will be held prior to the commencement of racing. ATTENDANCE BY ALL COMPETITORS INCLUDING a PATENT/GARDIAN OF A JUNIOR RIDER IS COMPULSORY before riding. A random verbal role call will be used to confirm attendance. If a competitor chooses not to attend riders briefing they will not be allowed to compete. If a competitor is not satisfied with the course after the sighting lap, they must contact the Clerk of Course to resolve their concerns and have a choice to withdraw if the discontent remains. Drug and Alcohol Testing All competitors and officials are advised that as part of the MA drug education program, drug testing may take place at any competition in accordance with the Australian Sports Commission as implemented by the Australian Sport Drug Agency. If any doubts exist over banned substances it is recommended competitors contact the Drugs in Sport Hotline (1800 020 506) When drug testing takes place, the payment of awards may be delayed at MSA discretion until the results of the test are known. For the purposes of drug and alcohol testing, the commencement of the meeting will be deemed to be 6.30am on race day with completion of the meeting for the participant being when the participant has vacated the venue. Code of Conduct 23. All competitors, officials and parents are reminded of the Motorcycling Australia by-law CODE OF CONDUCT (as stipulated in the GCR s), which is a guide to appropriate behaviour at all motorcycle race meetings. This CODE OF CONDUCT applies to these Meetings and will be enforced. Strictly no dogs, exemption for guide dogs. No smoking, alcohol or open footwear in pits. Timetable for all Events Details of times for each specific event will be forwarded to competitors who supplied envelopes with their entries. Otherwise these details will be available online at www.saoffroadchampionships.com or the link on the enduro page on the MSA website (www.motorcyclingsa.org.au). Circuit Description The track will vary for each round. All tracks will be marked by arrows, markers and bunting. Courses will comprise of varying terrain types including natural and man-made. Racing Riders will be escorted on a sighting lap for Sprints and Cross Country format events. No other riding than in the event is permitted. No rider who is competing in the event may ride the course even when helping to set up the event. The tests are to be walked only! Once competing, the intent of course must be adhered to at all times. Only officials can report a course cutting or infringement to the Clerk of Course the penalty for course cutting may vary from a deduction of 30 seconds to the slowest time plus 100 points or exclusion from the event results. This decision will be made by the Clerk Of Couse on the day. In a Cross Country a rider may be stopped for 30 seconds during the race by the clerk of course for an infringement. If the infringement happens on the last lap the penalty will be added to the riders time Clubs must have the test ready to walk one day before the event

Noise Noise emission levels have been changed: with the 2m max method, the limit is 112 with a 4dB/A allowance Competitors may be required to undergo a static noise test during the event. No person may compete in any event on a machine whose emissions exceed the limits as noted in GCR 12.10.1.1 If a machine fails it can be presented for re-testing several times Facilities Catering facilities will be available at some rounds. Please check rider instructions and SA Off Road website www.saoffroadchampionships.com for more details as events approach. Toilet facilities will be available at each round. Camping is permitted at some rounds. Please check on website or with organisers for each round for more details. Environment It is the responsibility of each rider to ensure both they and their service crew and mechanics are familiar with and adhere to the environmental guidelines contained in the GCR s. All competitors, service crew and mechanics are required to use an approved environmental mat (measuring a minimum of 500mm long by 400mm wide). This mat must be under machines when replenishing all fuels, oils and chemicals in order to stop ground contamination. Environmental mats will be sold by the organising club at the event for a small charge. Please note that carpet mats and mats made of other material are not acceptable. You will need to purchase an approved environmental mat. DEAD ENGINES WHILST REFUELLING! TEAR OFFS ARE NOT ALLOWED. Trophies Point scores will be as per the 2015 GCR s. The points riders accrue in all of the rounds will determine championship winners. In an event of a change of capacity class, points are not transferable. A minimum of half of the series events must be entered to gain eligibility. Each series round counts for overall series points. Ties will be determined as per MA GCR s. There will be an outright trophy awarded to 1 st, 2 nd and 3 rd of each eligible class by MSA at the year-end presentation dinner SAORC club 4 day perpetual trophy will be awarded at the following round. Results Results will be released in various forms: 1. In progress - as results are being processed, including during the day results and potentially immediately after the event will be marked "in progress" 2. Provisional - processing complete - rules applied The goal at the end of the day is that results are marked "provisional" however this may not always be possible. 3. Final - no further changes Results will be marked final after 24 hrs. After published as provisional- with the acceptation of the last round being a XCountry the results will be final at the completion of the day and trophies awarded. (If a rider loses time for a valid reason the clerk of Course needs to be informed on the day) 25.5.22 - Explanation of results A competitor may, no more than 24hr after the publication of the results of any days run request from the Clerk of Course an explanation of those results.

Entries to constitute a class To be a State Title Class for a series, there must be a minimum number of riders in at least 50% of rounds, Minimum rider numbers in each class shall be: Pro (4) Seniors (6) Juniors (4) and women (4). For a rider to be eligible to win a State Title Class they must participate in at least 50% of the rounds. Eg. Assuming 7 round series: Minimum number of rider numbers must be obtained in 4 rounds A rider must compete in 4 rounds to be eligible to win the championship. A Class would fail to be a State Title Class once 4 rounds have not had minimum rider numbers. Should there be insufficient entries in any class of competition, the decision to run or cancel the class, or to combine classes and re- distribute any awards or trophies, will be at the discretion of the Enduro Sports Manager and his Advisory Committee, subject to Motorcycling SA approval. Race Format SPRINT A sprint is run on the format of an Enduro special test. Riders complete as many heats of the course as indicated in the final instructions (or at the discretion of the Clerk of Course) There will be an escorted sighting lap of the course prior to the commencement of the event. Times will be cumulative: the rider with the least accumulated elapsed time for each class will be the winner and so on. Start order will be in number order or as directed. To be a finisher a rider must start all heats and complete at least 75 percent of the heats. A rider who does not complete a heat will be awarded the slowest heat time in their class plus 100 seconds. Change of machine may be permitted if acceptable to the clerk of course for approval (Replacement machine must have passed machine examination at the scheduled time). Receiving outside assistance is allowed in the defined pit area during the course of the event. ENDURO Enduro rules will be per GCR s unless notified in the Final Instructions. CROSS COUNTRY Cross Country events will be conducted on a course length of 15-30 minutes. Competitors are required to race continuously for a minimum of 2 hours for seniors - 1.5 hours for J4, J3 & J2 1 hour for JJ & J1 Juniors.. Refuelling & Pit Area: A designated refuelling area will be available and all refuelling and mechanical work will be carried out only in this area. There is to be no camping in the pit area and Riders must refuel at least once during the event! Receiving outside assistance is allowed in the designated pit area throughout the course of the event. Engines must be stopped and the rider must be off the bike for refuelling. Penalty is exclusion. There will be an escorted sighting lap of the course prior to commencement of the race. Juniors will compete at different times to the senior classes. The race will start at the time designated by the clerk of course, classes will start normally at one minute intervals and finish in the same order. Riders completing less than 50% of the time/distance of the winner of the race will be classified as Did Not Finish (DNF) Junior riders have to do one lap in competition to be declared a finisher. The riders machines must not have left the marked course including the refuelling area during the race except in the case of injury or mechanical breakdown. If a rider has either run out of fuel or has a mechanical problem they can only continue by pushing the machine back to the pit area (with no outside assistance). Upon restarting a penalty of one full lap will be applied unless the current lap was completed in full via pushing. Machine and Riders All machines must comply with the current GCR s. Where the event is entirely on private property, the GCR s for Motocross will apply. No events for 2014 require vehicle registration.
