Director Reports: 7.1 President Mike Sarai Thanks to everyone who was involved with the Coaches Conference 7.2 1 st Vice President John Braaten February locally (Lower Mainland) is the start of the pre-season preparation for local Interlocks. I attended some of the local meetings and there is a common theme.growth in the number of teams declaring for spring play. As always there is a great sense of enthusiasm and conversation leading up to the beginning of April. I was able to assist the Coaching Conference Host Committee with sourcing vendors at the conference. We saw four local companies support the event over the weekend and is greatly appreciated! The conference was a huge success and the Host Committee is to be complimented on putting together such a solid line-up of Speakers and Instructors. I received a handful of phone calls/e-mails over the past month regarding clarification of various rules from parents seeking clarification/understanding which is standard at this time of year. 7.3 2 nd Vice President Grant Butler No Report 7.4 Treasurer Anne Hayes Need different way to register for conference and listing of payments MOTION: P. release. M/S/C February 26, 2017 7.6 North Carmen Martin The North doesn t have too much to report at this time. I have reached out to both Quesnel and Terrace to introduce myself, and sent out an invite to attend one of the ice-breaker tournaments Prince George hosts for its spring (house) season. Prince George is continuing to run their Winter Ball program (all star players) along with a Development program (all players, all skill levels). Both programs will be finished at the end of March. Evaluations and tryouts will start in April. Numbers are expected to increase again for Prince George, and they are getting ready for registration March 4 th and 5 th. 7.7 Interior Tom Katelnikoff / Terry Chudyk Terry and I hosted a spring interior meeting this past Saturday March 4th. We had 26 people attend. I d like to thank Trevor McGuire and Les Szabo for making the effort to drive up under very poor road conditions. The meeting went well there we re a few questions around some of the single season scheduling which have since been worked out. Trevor gave a report on 15U AA upcoming season. It looks like the interior will have 4 teams competing in this division. As well Les updated the group on the marketing and branding committee s ideas and directions. As well we brought the group up to date on the coaches caravan stops and also locations for the interior high performance try outs. The meeting was obviously shorter as usual as a result of fewer board directors present. There was a usual Northern Interior meeting planned for Sunday March 5th. However it needed to be postponed due to uncontrolled circumstances. Most interior associations are reporting an increase in registration numbers. The interior registration number 2500 and 3000 players. Approximately 25 people attended all seem content with how programs are being delivered Penticton will know Tuesday about the caravan Several associations are hosting umpire clinics as well as NCCP clinics. Both regional and provincial will be offered here. 7.8 Island Fraser Campbell / Eric Toneff Meeting to be held March 12 th starting at 11:00 am in Nanaimo at the Rotary Field House, 850 Third Street Mike Sarai will attend

7.9 Web Site Tom Katelnikoff Between now and April 1st most of our efforts of the website will be getting schedules posted and administrators set up for the different teams and divisions for the upcoming season. We posted a series of 3 articles that Bob Elliott sports writer for the Toronto Sun and the Canadian Baseball Network, wrote on the BC Baseball Convention. We should be grateful for this kind of coverage from writer of this caliber. At the peak the articles received up to 9000 page views, which shows our reach is getting better and more consistent. I felt the line-up of guest coaches at the convention was very strong and got feedback around that. 8.
