Both open at 8.15am please ensure you have your gear and geometry checked before signing onsigning on closes at 9.10am Please ensure that you bring your British Cycling licence to signing on. Please ensure all licenses are signed and have name and number of emergency contact filled in. Please bring photo I.D. if photo is not uploaded on to licence. Competitor notes: Please refer to British Cycling Technical Regulations which can be found online, with special attention to below Equipment Youth B & C riders may only use cycles which conform to the British Cycling Technical regulation 3.2.6 Wheels shall have rims of no greater depth than 3.5cm of a minimum of 16 and a maximum of 40 spokes. Spokes can be round, flattened or oval but must not exceed 10mm in width. (note campagnolo pista wheels will not be acceptable) Machines with dropped handlebars shall be used. Tribars, arm extensions and/or arm pads shall be prohibited. All riders shall comply with those gear restrictions as laid down in the current British Cycling Technical Regulations. For the Time Trials, youth A riders may use cycles with tribars, arm extensions and/or arm pads and which comply with 2017 British Cycling Technical Regulations. Bikes must be checked and marked before the pursuit (this is in addition to the usual gear check) Only youth A riders may use aero helmets. Youth A, it is possible that disc wheels may be prohibited due to wind conditions please ensure you have alternative non disc wheel. All riders only one sprocket is allowed on rear wheel. Two numbers are to be worn for all races as shown at sign in. We shall be using transponder timing. A transponder and suitable tie will be issued to you for a 20.00 returnable deposit during sign on. If you have your own transponder we expect you to be using it so your data goes directly to your web page. (There will be no spare transponders available on the day) The transponder needs to be fixed low on your front fork please ask at sign on if you have any problems. Transponders are not needed for the time trials. For all other races you will be placed last if you do not have a transponder on your bike. Please make sure you have your transponder on during the open track warm up so we can verify it is working correctly. Gear checks will be conducted both prior to and at random during the meeting for all categories. Gear Restrictions U8 5.10m U10 5.40m U12 6.05m U14 6.45m U16 6.93m Additional Notes for All competitors and helpers. The gates to the track will be closed at all times when riders are on the track. Up to 10.00am, gate 1 (in the home straight) will be used after 10.00am i.e. when the meeting has started, gate 2 (in the back straight) will be used. When the meeting has finished gate 2 will be locked and gate 1 reopened.
Information There will be no riding on the track before the meeting except the following times for track familiarisation. 9.00am 9.10am All Youth D and E Riders 9.10am 9.20am All Youth C Riders & Female B riders 9.20am 9.30am Male Youth B Riders 9.30am 9.40am Youth A Female Riders 9.40am 9.50am Male Youth A Riders This means if you are not in the track centre before 9.00am you will only get 5 opportunities to get in before the meeting starts i.e. 9.10am, 9.20am, 9.30am, 9.40am and 9.50am Riders Briefings All Youth A Riders 9.15amBefore your track familiarisation All B C D & E Riders 9.35am After your track familiarisation Briefings will be held by the podium. All riders must attend their briefings. The D and any of the grass area in the track centre not taped off, may be used by competitors, Gazebos may be used but side panels are not permitted as the officials and first aid team need complete visibility of the whole track. No rider should use the safety zone except to enter or leave the track at the start or finish of a race. After a bunch race has finished you will have 1 complete lap to slow down and will then be expected to leave the track in the back straight, riding down into the safety zone and then back into the riders D. After the time trials please exit the track as soon as possible to enable the next heat to commence. While the meeting is in progress, you will only be able to leave the track by gate 2 in between races. All riders will be called into the riders pen while the race before is in progress this will ensure all races are started promptly. If you are not ready, the start will NOT be delayed you will not start and will be placed last. Results will be posted adjacent to the start finish area throughout the meeting, as they become available. Heats for the Sprint will also be posted on this board. Toilets and changing facilities are adjacent to the track and will be sign posted. Unfortunately there are no separate on site disabled facilities. Most Importantly Have a great day racing!
