Program Registration Registration for all programs being upon the release of this brochure. Registration can be done in person, by mail, or online. Please review the information below to learn more about program registration. Call the office at if you have any questions. To register in person or by mail: Registration forms can be found at cicero.recdesk.com and then clicking the Forms link on the top menu bar. Cash, check, money orders, and credit cards are accepted as methods of payment when registering in person or through the mail. Please make checks out to the Town of Cicero. Registration forms can be mailed to: Cicero Parks & Rec. 8236 Brewerton Rd. Cicero, NY 13039 Credit Card Payments: Processing fees will be added at checkout when payment is made with a credit card. These fees CANNOT be refunded, even in the instance of a program being cancelled. To avoid fees, payments can be made with cash, check, or money order. To register online: Visit cicero.recdesk.com for online registration. Create an account for your family by clicking Log-In on the right hand side of the menu bar, then follow the prompts. Once you have created an account, click the Programs/Events link on top menu bar and then click Registration. From there you can browse the current programs that are offered. How do I know when I am registered? Unless you received a notification indicating otherwise, registration is considered complete when we have both the registration form and payment AND a receipt has been sent from our office through RecDesk. All program registration is done on a firstcome/first-serve basis. If you have provided an email address, your receipt will be emailed to you. 3

In conjunction with the Bridgeport Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and the Town of Sullivan Parks & Recreation Department, all are invited to the 10th Annual Fall Festival. Santa Letters Santa loves this Cicero tradition and again he will be writing letters to children that reside in Cicero!! PARENTS: To make sure your child receives a letter from Santa, just send your child s full name, age, and address to parksandrec@ciceronewyork.net, or call and give Santa s trusted helpers your information. They will pass it all on to Santa so he can get started right away!! Tree Lightings Holiday traditions are a great thing in Cicero with TWO separate tree lighting ceremonies! Bring your friends and family to one or both events to welcome in the holiday season. Refreshments, crafts, and visits with Santa can be expected at both ceremonies. CNS NBA Basketball With the guidance of Coach John Haas, the CNS Basketball Program is continuing its development program for boys in 3rd grade through 9th grade. Teams will be created at the beginning of each session. Teams will then participate in 2 consecutive 45-minute blocks each week. One block will be a 45-minute practice session by one of the CNS coaches and the other will be a 45-minute game! Where: When: Time: Fee: North Syracuse Jr High School Wednesdays 3rd - 5th grade: 6-7:30pm 6th - 9th grade: 7:30-9pm $65 for one session $120 for both sessions (includes reversible jersey) Session Dates: Fall: October 24 - December 19 (no league 10/31 or 11/21) Winter: January 16 - March 6 (no league 2/20) Future Stars Instructional Basketball This instruction based program, led by Coach Jones, is designed to help boys and girls (1st & 2nd grade) learn and develop basketball skills. There are two sessions offered on Mondays and sessions are capped at 25 so all kids can remain active the entire time. Adult Co-Ed Volleyball League Registration is going on now for the 2018-2019 Cicero Adult Co-Ed Volleyball League. Two league divisions offer opportunities for people of all skill levels to play. Decide which league suits your team best and register today! The league runs approximately 14 weeks, plus playoffs (this may change due to weather and the number of teams that register). Introduction to Hip-Hop Dance The CMC Dance Company is offering an introductory hip-hop dance class for children ages 6-9 and 10-12. The program consists of 7 classes plus a recital at the end. The recital will be Monday, December 3rd at Allen Rd Elementary School and will be in combination with Jazz and Ballet students in the Pre- School Dance program. The classes can hold a maximum of 10 students so be sure to sign up today! This exciting course incorporates our life skills program with the physical activity that keeps this age group engaged. We will help them get ready for kindergarten, karate or other sports by developing coordination, balance, listening skills and following directions in a friendly social environment. They will run, jump, balance and climb their way through safe and fun ninja style obstacles. Parkour is a training program that involves running, jumping, rolling, swinging, vaulting and climbing over obstacles to get from one place to another as quickly as possible. Our certified, well trained staff is here to motivate and coach you through every workout in a judgement free environment. Intense cardio routines engage your core and all muscle groups to help you build lean, tone muscle. The diverse workouts will increase cardio endurance, flexibility and strength while decreasing stress. Modifications are given for various fitness levels. Hip-Hop Fitness Danceography of Syracuse is a noncompetitive studio that encourages students to find their own reward within themselves. This fall, hip-hop fitness will be offered for children and adults of abilities. The program runs for 8 weeks and the cost includes a t-shirt. The CanTeen, located next door to CNS High School, offers a safe, supervised place for youth in 8th-12th grade daily after school. We offer a drop-in site with a fun and responsible staff and activities to suit all interests. Junior High students can catch the sports shuttle after school from the Junior High to CNS High School and walk to the CanTeen Transportation home is available on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 4:15pm. Seasonal Employment Are you looking for a fun and rewarding way to gain valuable work experience? The Town of Cicero Youth Bureau, Parks & Recreation Department has several seasonal positions available for the summer of 2019. Please review the positions below and feel free to contact the office with any questions. Applications will be accepted starting January 1, 2019. Lifeguard: Season is mid-june through mid-august (plus trainings and orientations) Applicants must be able to work flexible shifts (10am - 7pm) for about 32 hours/week Applicants must have a current Lifeguard Training Certificate from an approved certifying agency with Waterfront Module and First Aid Applicants must have a current CPR for Professional Rescuer Certificate from an approved certifying agency. CPR is needed to be recertified annually for lifeguard staff (two year certifications are no longer valid). Day Camp Staff: Season is mid-june through mid-august (plus trainings and orientations) Applicants must be able to work 8am-2:30pm Monday through Friday Applicants should be passionate about working with kids ages 5-12. An outgoing, energetic personality is a plus Park Laborer: Season is mid-june through mid-august (with possible trainings and orientations) Applicants must be able to work 7am-3pm and weekends (hours may change depending on weather) Applicants must be able to act as caretakers for park facilities and deal courteously and tactfully with the public Typical work activities include routine grounds keeping, custodial duties, maintenance, and operation of motorized equipment. 14

Planning a Party? Joseph F William Memorial Park has an indoor location with views of Oneida Lake. The room can accommodate small gatherings of up to 45 people and has a kitchen if desired. The fee to rent this space is just $125 for residents and $175 for non-residents (plus a $100 refundable security deposit). There is an additional cost of $50 for access to the kitchen.
