Drum Line Performance 7:45am Sat 10/20 JMU Parade of Champions All Day Hello GBBPA Members, Thank you for all you re doing to support and to cheer on the GBHS band program! Let s keep strong over the next couple weeks! This Friday we ll be hosting the 8 th graders to give them a small taste of what it s like to be Marching Wildcats. It s always fun to see our high schoolers interact with the middle schoolers and to see how much our kids have grown in just a few short years since entering high school. The very next day, 9am-1pm, we ll be participating in the Driven to Give event with the opportunity to raise $4,000 for the band simply by test driving around the bus loop. We need every family in the program (and your neighbors and extended family) to come out and drive! Both events offer the ability to earn some of the required $250 Fair Pay points for your family. We also have our GBBPA meeting on Tuesday. See you there! Erin Oliphant GBBPA President
Driven to Give Fundraiser on 10/13, 9am-1pm The band and PTSA will split the proceeds 50/50 from the October 13th Driven to Give fundraiser. This is one of the best fundraiser opportunities out there with the potential of earning $8,000 total over just 4 hours! All you must do is show up at the GBHS bus loop, fill out a short survey on an ipad, and test drive one to three vehicles. There is ABSOLUTELY no obligation to buy or be contacted any further by a sales representative (we participated last year, and Lincoln has been true to their word no further contact for those who opt out) and it s a quick, easy process. Anyone 18 or older with a valid driver s license can participate. PLEASE ask grandparents, neighbors, co-workers, etc. to come out and drive. They can also enjoy the GBHS Fall Craft Show while there. Opportunities to volunteer during the event will be listed in Charms early this week. We are in real need of SMALL WATER BOTTLES! Donations for small water bottles are needed for our next competitions and way games and 8 th Grade Night on October 12, 2018. Please leave donations by the freezer in the band room. Thank you so much!!
