KINGSTON PONY CLUB February Newsletter District Commissioner Tammy Griffin 53349188 kirbmag@optusnet.com.au President Julie Knights 53458174 jkn61954@bigpond.net.au Secretary Vicki Kelly 53346468 danielkellyracing@dodo.com.au Treasurer Juanita Ford 0428312201 juanita@darrenford.com.au Happy New Year. Welcome back for the Pony Club year of 2012. Hopefully everyone has had a fantastic holiday break with lots of great riding and pony adventures. From the President. Hello everyone. The start of the new year brings with it the start of preparations for the new Pony Club year, with the AGM coming up and membership and fees around the corner. The fees will be going up this year, something we try not to do obviously but with PCAV insurance going up we are left with no option but to put our up as well. I will be taking orders for the new Tshirts next week at the rally. These will be a great addition to our club uniform and can be worn on rally days and in completion. They do not replace the jumper and tie for showing etc but can be worn for cross country and jumping. If you haven t seen them yet, there is one available to try on, so find me next week and let me know what size you would like. I hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year and we are all rested and ready to get bak to some serious riding and learning. Welcome back to the Miller family from their great holiday in Tasmania, I am yet to see any photos. Things are going to be a bit busy at PC for the next couple of months so it would be great if all families could help out in any way. We are only a small club and we need everyones help, please don t leave it up to the same people. If anyone has any ideas for fund raisers can you please come to the meetings and put them across as we need to start making some serious money to help the club continue to grow and to be able to continue to pay for instructors. Meetings are open to everyone so please come along. Good luck to all the children who started secondary school this year and to those starting or completing VCE. Coming to PC is a fantastic way of balancing out the huge amount of school work they carry as well as being a wonderful social outlet as well. Also good luck to Letitia as she begins her working life. I hope everyone has a great and successful year. Lastly, good luck to all those out there competing and well done to the one s who have been out and about over summer at different events, you have all done really well and our club is well and truly on the radar.
Up coming months The February rally has moved to the third Sunday of the month, to enable riders to compete at the Glenlyon Horse Trials which fall on the following week. So please note that our PC rally will be next Sunday so make sure you get your lunch orders into Fiona this week. If you are going to ride at Glenlyon you need to get your entries in ASAP... Moving then into March we begin with our own Combined Training Day which will be on the 4th. We need all hands on deck for this one as well as everyone competing and having a go. Get your entries to Joyce next week at the rally. Helpers will be needed for set up (the day before), pack up at the end of the day, pencilling for dressage and jumps judges, workers in the canteen, gate keepers, gear checkers, runners etc etc. The list could go on. Please put your hand up to help out in anyway you can. Even if your child is not riding, you are still needed to come and help out.
Welcome new member, Teagan and her fantastic mount Chelsea. Teagan took part in a come and try rally last year and joined over the holidays. We hope you enjoy riding with club. If anyone knows anyone who might like to join, don t forget to tell them about the come and try option. For $10.00 riders can come with their horses and take part in all the activities on the day to see if they might like to join. It is a fantastic way to get new riders for the club so please mention it to your horsey friends or family.

On Saturday February 18 th we are inviting your Club to join us and take advantage of some exclusive promotions and take first pick of drastically reduced clearance stock. To make it interesting, the Club who earns the most credit over the course of the day will receive an extra $250 credit on their account! The day will also feature our first Minute Mayhem. This promotion is simple. Spend $100 in store from February 1 st and you will go into the draw to win a $1000 shopping spree to be drawn on the day. But here is the catch. You only have one minute to spend it!* We will have the BBQ fired up out front with free sausages being served up from 10:30AM. It promises to be a fantastic day and I hope everyone will get behind it. Kind regards, Fraser.
