AQUATICS PARENT/CHILD SWIM LESSONS A great introduction to the aquatics environment. Children develop body awareness, independence, water safety skills and stroke development through guided practice, songs, and games. Fall I & II Session Fees: Y Member: $39 Community: $77 Mon 5:00-5:30 pm 6-36 months ADULT LEARN TO SWIM PROGRAM Adult Learn-To-Swim has two levels. Level 1 program is for adults who have moderate to no prior swimming experience or may even have a fear of the water and wish to learn the basics of swimming. Participants will be taught how to bob and breath, float, how to breathe while swimming and arm movement with kicking. The Level 2 program is for those who already have basic swimming skills but want to enhance their swimming abilities. Both offerings can further technique and confidence to improve personal safety around water, as well as efficiency in the water, endurance and speed. Fall II Session Fees: Y Member: $39 Community: $77 Mon 7:00-7:45 am Adult GYM & SWIM LESSONS Gym and Swim is a fun and socializing way for preschoolers and homeschool students to develop skills, confidence, friends, and fitness. Children spend the first 1/2 hour in the gym doing active and cooperative games, and then spend a 1/2 hour in the pool in a structured swim lesson. Fall I & II Session Fees: Y Member: $51 Community: $87 Fri 9:15-10:30 am 3-5 years ADULT SWIM CLUB SHORT COURSE Experienced swim coach works with adults that want to improve their strokes and be able to swim farther, faster, and with more efficiency! The Short Course season focuses on sprints, competitive racing, stroke technique for all four competitive strokes, and swimming for overall fitness October 2-April 27 Session Fees: Y Member: $180 Community: $270 Tue & Fri 6:05-7:05 am 16 + Wed 4:00-5:00 pm 16 + PRESCHOOL SWIM LESSONS Preschoolers develop swim skills, independence, comfort, and safety awareness. NORTHERNS SWIM TEAM JOIN THE TEAM, JOIN THE FUN! SWIM TEAM Experienced coaching staff work with beginner swimmers through elite athletes grades K-12. At a minimum, youth swimmers must be able to swim one length of the pool on their front and one length on their back without stopping prior to joining the swim team. Swimmers will have many opportunities to participate in swim meets with other swimmers from the region. October 2-February 11 Fall I & II Session Fees: Y Member: $180 (Only open to members) Novice Mon & Thu 3:45-4:15 pm 5-18 years Intermediate/Advanced Mon & Thu 4:15-5:15 pm 5-18 years Wed 6:30-7:30 am 5-18 years Wed 4:00-5:00 pm 5-18 years 5

HEALTHY LIVING AFTERSCHOOL ALLSTARS This program offers students from Sawtooth Mountain Elementary and Great Expectations a safe place to go after school. Activities will be as follows: Monday: Cooking Tuesday: Swimming Wednesday: Active/Crafts Thursday:Field Trip/Service Learning. September 5-May 31 Fees: $5/Day (pre-registration required) Mon-Thu 3:30-5:15 pm 6-12 years AFTERSCHOOL LOUNGE The Afterschool Lounge is open to youth in third grade and higher. The elementary library/computer lab will be open after school for homework, reading, games, puzzles, and socializing. The elementary gym will be used for shooting hoops, floor hockey, dodgeball, and other games. The activities will be supervised and some planned activities, games, and challenges will take place weekly. KETTLEBELLS Kettlebells will help kick all your fitness goals into high gear! Functional, compound exercises work multiple muscle groups simultaneously, developing strength and muscular endurance and efficient caloric expenditure. With a focus on integrating breathing, movement and alignment with your ability to control balance and weight. Working with the kettlebell is combined with jumping rope and body weight exercises for an all around heart-pumping workout. Fall I & II Session Fees: Y Member: $39 Community: $77 Thu 6:15-7:00 am Adult September 5-May 31 Fees: $45 for unlimited school-year pass Mon-Fri 3:30-5:15 pm GYMNASTICS CLUB Participants enjoy the excitement of achieving their goals through our developmental gymnastics program through a safe and fun environment. This class teaches basic tumbling skills (forward and backward rolls, back-bends, cartwheels, handstands, etc.) and basics on bars, balance beam, and trampoline. As the session progresses, students begin to work more advanced skills (round-offs, walker-overs, handsprings, flips) on the floor and on bars, balance beam, trampoline. Fall II Session Fees: Y Member: $75 Community: $135 Tue 6:15-7:30 pm 6-12 years SOCCER The Y youth soccer program is designed to meet each player at their current level of play and provide op portunities to increase their individual skills. The goal is that these opportunities lead to an overall enjoyment of the game for years to come. YOUTH IN GOVERNMENT Youth in Government allows middle and high school students to serve in model governments. Teens will learn all about our local government, attend meetings, and learn about the levels of the U.S. Government and how they can become more active, involved citizens. Some will participate in a 4-day trip to the Twin Cities in January for the annual Model Assembly. Meeting Times (TBD by the group) Kick-Off Meeting: Monday September 11 from 7:00-8:00pm at the YMCA Conference Room Parents are encouraged to attend the first meeting if able.
