Recreational Facilities Rules and Guidelines Introduction The safety and enjoyment of the residents of the Promontory Pointe community are of primary importance in the operation of our recreational facilities. The Association appreciates each homeowner s courtesy, consideration, and respect for others and Association property in their use of our recreational facilities. 1. Use of Recreational Facilities a. Persons using the recreational facilities do so at their own risk. The HOA is not responsible for accidents, injuries or loss of personal property occurring within these facilities. b. Only association members, immediate family (family members living at member s Promontory Pointe address), tenants, and accompanied guests are permitted to use the recreational facilities. c. Recreation facilities and restrooms (located at the pavilion adjacent to the pool) require card key entry. Card keys are available from Association Management Services (AMS), 1600 N.E. Loop 410, Suite 202, weekdays between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Card keys will only be issued after confirmation that owners are in good standing (i.e., dues are current and no outstanding violations or fines) and after a waiver of liability is signed by each adult member (copy enclosed). d. Each household is limited to one card key. For liability reasons, keys will not be mailed. They must be picked up at the association office. Card keys may not be duplicated or given to non-residents. There will be a $10.00 charge for a new or replacement card key or reprogramming of a suspended card key. There is no charge for annual card key renewal. e. HOA members or their tenants who are 60 days in arrears on their assessments shall have their card key access suspended until their account is current and the $10.00 reprogramming charge is paid. 2. Guests a. Members in good standing may bring to the recreational facilities A MAXIMUM OF FOUR GUESTS PER LOT AT ANY ONE TIME. The host member must accompany his/her guests at all times, and he/she is responsible for his/her guests conduct at all times. b. Members of the HOA who are not in good standing (i.e., those who have not paid their assessments and/or fines) may not be invited to use the recreational facilities as guests. These members may not use the recreational facilities at any time until their assessments and/or fines are paid in full.
3. General Rules a. Abusive, vulgar, or profane language and/or gestures are strictly prohibited. b. Food and drinks are allowed in the picnic areas surrounding the recreational facilities, and in the patio, lawn and deck areas surrounding the pool. For safety reasons, only unbreakable, non-glass containers are allowed. Gum is not allowed in any recreational facility. c. Homeowners are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the recreational facilities. Trash shall be disposed of in the containers provided or shall be removed from the premises by the homeowner. d. Pets are not allowed in the recreational facility areas. e. Smoking is not allowed in any of the recreational facilities at any time. f. No alcoholic beverages of any kind are allowed in or around the recreational facilities. No one under the influence of alcohol or drugs may use the recreational facilities at any time. g. Skates, skateboards, rollerblades, bikes and similar wheeled items are prohibited inside all recreational facilities. If used as a means of transportation, they must be removed and/or stored appropriately while using the recreational facilities. h. Recreational facility users must wear appropriate attire. i. Amplified sound is prohibited at all times. j. For liability reasons, residents ages 16 and up are allowed in the facilities without adult supervision. Children ages 0 to 15 must be accompanied by an adult at all times, except that children ages 12 to 15 are allowed to use the pool without adult supervision when lifeguards are on duty ONLY. ***Anyone who violates recreation facility rules is subject to fines and suspension or prohibition of their use of the facilities in accordance with PPHOA bylaws.*** 1. Schedule & Hours Of Operation POOL RULES AND GUIDELINES a. The swimming pool will open for the season in mid-march and close for the season in October. Go to www.promontoryhoa.org for specific dates. b. Pool hours: 5:00 AM to 9:00 PM Thursday through Tuesday, and 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Wednesdays. c. Lifeguards: Dates when lifeguard service will be provided, will be posted on the HOA web site for each pool season. Go to www.promontoryhoa.org for specific dates. d. Lifeguard hours are from 2:00 PM 9:00 PM. ***The HOA reserves the right to close the pool at any time for emergencies or repairs.
2. Pool Use a. Persons using the pool do so at their own risk. It is strongly suggested that no one swim alone. b. Private pool parties are not allowed. The pavilion may be reserved for private functions with a $75.00 deposit (see enclosed pavilion reservation request form). However, its use shall not restrict access to the pool. c. All pool users are responsible for ensuring that the gate is properly locked upon leaving the pool area. Please do not allow others to tailgate in on your card or prop the gate open for any reason. d. If you notice anything not working properly, please notify Association Management Services at (210)829-7202. 3. Pool Rules a. This is a NON-DIVING pool. The no-diving rule is clearly posted on each side of the pool. No diving includes using picnic tables, chairs, recliners, or any other object to jump or do flips into the pool. b. Dunking, running, or horseplay of any kind is prohibited in the pool area. Only soft inflatable-type balls, such as beach balls, are allowed in or near the pool; no hard balls (racquetballs, baseballs, footballs etc) or other objects which may injure other members or guests are allowed in or near the pool. c. Grills or BBQ smokers are not permitted in the pool area at any time. d. No food or drink is allowed on the pool edge or in the pool but is permitted on the patios, lawn and deck areas. Only unbreakable non-glass containers are allowed. e. No glass face masks or goggles are allowed in the pool. Floating devices attached to the swimmer for safety are allowed. f. No animals are allowed in the pool enclosure except for authorized service animals. g. Pool users must be properly attired in acceptable swimwear. No thong bathing suits, cut-off pants, jean shorts or boxers allowed. h. Children in diapers must wear rubber pants or swim diapers at all times when in either pool. i. Persons with skin disorders or other infectious or contagious conditions shall not enter the pool. Children or adults with diarrhea in the past 24 hours are not allowed in either pool. j. To prevent/avoid chemical imbalance or filter problems with the water, pool users will: 1. Towel or shower off suntan lotion or oil before entering the pool. Oil gums up tiles and dilutes the chemicals. 2. Confine hair longer than shoulder length in a braid, ponytail, bun, or swim cap. Loose hair cannot be backwashed from the filter system and reduces its efficiency.
4. Parking Pool parking is provided in the parking lot adjacent to the pavilion. Overflow parking is allowed on street adjacent to the parking lot in the direction of the flow of traffic. **Emergency Phone Located Inside Pool Gate Dials 911** 1. Schedule & Hours Of Operation SPORT COURT RULES & GUIDELINES a. Open year-round. b. Court hours are 8:00 AM - 9:00 PM. c. The HOA reserves the right to close the sport court at any time for emergencies or repairs. 2. Sport Court Use and Rules a. All users of the sport court are responsible for ensuring that the gate is properly locked upon exiting the court. Do not allow others to tailgate in on your card or prop the gate open for any reason. b. Climbing on the fence is prohibited. c. Hanging or standing on the rims, hanging from the nets and climbing on the goal posts is prohibited at all times. d. If you notice anything not working properly, please notify Association Management Services at (210) 829-7202. 3. Parking Parking is provided in the parking lot adjacent to the sport court. Overflow parking is allowed along the street adjacent to the sport court in the direction of the flow of traffic. PLAYGROUND/PARK RULES & GUIDELINES 1. Schedule & Hours Of Operation a. Open year-round. b. Playground and picnic hours are 8:00 AM - 9:00PM. c. The HOA reserves the right to close the park at any time for emergencies or repairs.
2. Playground/Park Use and Rules a. The small playground is for 2 to 5 year olds, and the large playground is for 6 to 12 year olds. Please adhere to recommended age limitations for safe playground use. b. Do not bounce balls or other objects off of homes adjacent to the park. Please be respectful of their privacy. c. Grills must be supervised while hot as this is a potential safety hazard. d. Grills may not be used when burn bans are in effect. e. If you notice anything in need of repair, please notify Association Management Services at (210)829-7202. 3. Parking a. Parking is provided in the parking lot adjacent to the sport court, along Promontory Circle adjacent to the park, on Bear Ridge adjacent to the park, and on Caitlyn Court adjacent to the park. City ordinances require that vehicles be parked in the same direction as traffic flow. b. Out of courtesy to adjacent neighbors, please do not park in front of these homes.
