Our Mission Statement: To inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens. Boys & Girls Club Week April 16-April 20 Monday: Blue Door Decorating Contest Every homework room will have the week prior to decorate their door blue in celebration of Boys & Girls Club week! The winning homework room will win a pizza party. The winning door will also be submitted to Boys & Girls Club of America! Tuesday: International Club day! Each homework room will be decorated as a different country with samples of food from that culture. Club members will create their own passports that will get stamped after their visit to each country! *Homework room will end early at 5:00 that day* Wednesday: Staff and Club member Challenges- Today is the day! The staff members finally get to compete to see who WINS IT ALL! The staff members will compete with each other in games such as: knockout, musical chairs, karaoke relay, tissue pulling, and minute to win it challenges such as who can move the most marbles with chopsticks! All Club members are invited down to the big gym to cheer on their favorite staff member! Thursday: Club Member Appreciation Day- Club member Minute to Win It challenges and obstacle course with prizes for the winners of each age group. As a part of teen appreciation day, the teenage member that records the fastest time on the obstacle course will get to shove a pie in a staff member s face! Let the games begin! Friday: Club Gone Wild! Come down to the big gym from 4:30-5:30 where we will have one big dance party to kickoff the weekend and celebrate the Club! Enjoy ice cream sundaes and free pretzels! Win a prize if you win the guessing game of how many blue and white marbles are in a jar! *There will be NO homework room that day*

Special Events Oak Park Family Fun Night Who: All Oak Park students and families When: Friday, April 20 Time: 6:00-7:30 This is an Oak Park only event! Come out and celebrate an evening of games, snacks and prizes for your family! All Oak Park families and friends are welcome! Any kids that are not current members of the Boys & Girls Club will get a FREE 2018 membership! One lucky family will win a FREE week of summer camp for the 2018 summer! We will provide, snacks, drinks, music, and games! End of School Year Bash Who: All Club members When: June 6 th Time: 5:30-7:00 Hey kids, schools out for summer! Let s celebrate! We will have an afternoon long celebration for the last day of school and homework room. Enjoy food, drinks and treats on your last day at the Club during the school year! SUMMERTIME IS HERE! Teen Night Black Light Dodgeball Who: Grades 7 and up When: Friday, May 11 Time: 7:00-9:00 Cost: $5.00 No more asking the question why do they get to do that and we don t?! You ve asked, we listened, and we will deliver! It s your turn now, teens! Come into the Club and spend your night hanging out with your friends while playing a competitive game of black light dodgeball! We will provide you with food, drinks, and music. All you have to do is show up ready to play the greatest game of dodgeball of your life! *Guests are always welcome with a signed permission slip! You can find a permission slip at www.npvclub.org!* Tween Night Black Light Dodgeball Who: Grades 4, 5, 6 When: Friday, June 1 Time: 7:00-9:00 Cost: $5.00 Spend your Friday at the Club playing dodgeball with glow sticks, music, food, and drinks! We will transform the small gym into a dodgeball court with black light dodgeballs and more! *Guests are always welcome with a signed permission slip! Weekly Programs Girl Power Who: Girls 6-9 When: Thursdays, April 12- June 7 (No program May 24) Girls will learn fun and exciting ways to gain knowledge in etiquette, manners and how to be a lady! During this eight week program each week will have a focus on fun while learning self-confidence and how to be a Smart Girl! Shutterbugs Who: 9-13 When: Thursdays, April 12 June 7 (No program May 24) Take time to stop and look at the world through a camera s lens! In this program members will learn the basics of photography. Each week the group will focus on different styles of photography including landscape, macro and portrait photography. At the end, we ll celebrate the member s artistic success with a Club gallery debut of each member s artwork! Keystone Club Who: 12+ When: Wednesdays, April 11 May 30 Time: 6-7 Join us for the final Keystone Club session of the school year! Members will have the opportunity to visit local college campuses, tour large corporations, and take awesome field trips to places such as the Philadelphia 76ers basketball game! In addition to this, members will also have the chance to play a pivotal role in their community! Torch Club Who: 9-11 When: Tuesdays, April 10 June 5 (No program May 15) Want to spend time building friendships, having fun and being an important part of the Club? Join Torch Club! This program, for members 9-11 year olds, will give you a sense of belonging, a sense of community, and will teach you leadership skills. Each week Torch Club members will hang out, play games, and plan fun projects. Torch Club members will also participate in fundraisers for service projects and fun field trips!

Weekly Programs Woodshop Who: 9-13 When: Fridays, April 13-June 1 Time: 6-7 Jump on this unique opportunity to have your child learn how to use real tools to build real wood working projects! This exciting eight week program will have your child learn the safest ways to use tools, build their own personal projects, and participate in a large group project for the Club! Sweet Treats Who: 6-8 When: Wednesdays, April 11 May 30 Time: 6:00-7:00 What a better way to spend your Wednesday night then to be creating sweet treats and enjoying them with your friends! During this eight week program some of our younger members will be able to be introduced to the world of baking while enjoying a sweet treat once a week! Let s get baking! Ballet/Jazz Dance Class Who: 7-9 When: Fridays, April 13-June 1 Time: 5:30-6:30 Combination class teaching dance technique! This class is perfect for anyone who has ever wanted to learn the fundamentals of dancing ballet and jazz. Come grow as a dancer while also building selfconfidence and friendships. Socks and active wear pants must be worn to each class. ABSOLUTELY no jean, skirts, dresses, etc. Hip Hop Dance Class Who: 10+ When: Tuesdays, April 10 - June 5 (No program May 15) Street jazz, break-dancing, old school social dances, and more! This class is perfect for anyone who loves to let loose, dance, and have fun! Come grow as a dancer while also building selfconfidence, friendships, and learning how to work as a team with your fellow classmates. Sneakers and active wear are MANDATORY (No jeans, boots, sandals, dresses, etc).

Athletics & Fitness Hot Shots: Who: 6-13 When: Tuesdays (6-8) April 10 - June 5 (No program May 15) Wednesdays (9-13) April 11 -May 30 Time: 6:00pm 6:45 pm (If a rotating game schedule is played, games will be 6:00-6:45 and 6:45-7:30) Cost: $20.00 league fee plus a 2018 Club membership fee of $20.00 for any non-current members. A late fee of $10.00 will be applied to the basketball registration fee if your child is registered after March 24 th! Hot Shots Basketball will teach your child the fundamentals of the game and good sportsmanship, with a focus on fun! If signups permit, players will be assigned a team that will play on a rotating schedule. If signups are not sufficient for teams, pickup style games will be played each week. A game schedule will be handed out on the first night and players will be informed of their assigned team via phone and e-mail prior to the first game. Tiny Tots All-Stars Who: 4-5 When: Mondays, April 9 th June 4 th (No program May 28) Time: 6:00-6:45 Cost: $20.00 plus a FREE 2018 membership, t-shirt included Tiny Tots All-Stars is a sports program to introduce our youngest members to our main sports: soccer, hockey, baseball, basketball and football. In a fun-filled environment, we encourage our little athletes to try their best while teaching them proper form and execution of drills. Of course, we will also play a lot of games! We explain how important it is to follow directions, play as a team, and have superior sportsmanship while having fun! Floor Hockey Who: 9-12 When: Mondays, April 9 th June 4 th (No program May 28) Time: 6:00pm 6:45 pm (If a rotating game schedule is played, games will be 6:00-6:45 and 6:45-7:30) Join us for floor hockey! During this program participants will learn the basics of the game while having fun with friends. If signups permit, players will be assigned a team that will play on a rotating schedule. Games will be held either 6:00-6:45 pm or 6:45-7:30 based on the schedule. If signups are not sufficient for teams, pickup style games will be played each week. If a rotating game schedule is required due to large signups, a game schedule will be handed out on the first night and players will be informed of their assigned team via phone and e-mail before the first game. Pads are permitted, but not required. Skates are not permitted in this program. Participants must wear sneakers. Sticks will be provided or you may bring your own!

Registration begins Monday, March 5. Registration remains open until all spots are full. In order to register, a minimum of first session payment must be paid on the day of registration as well as $20.00 for a current 2018 membership, if needed. The balance must be paid by Friday, June 8, 2018. Summertime is the best time! The excitement and affordability of our summer camp makes it the hottest spot in town. At our summer camp, your child will be sure to have a rewarding and fun filled summer. Our camp is professionally run and provides quality care in a supportive environment. Your child will pick and choose from a variety of structured recreational and educational activities. Each Club will take exciting field trips to different destinations throughout the summer. Pool trips to the Whites Road Pool will be held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for ages 7 to 12. All pool trips are an additional fee of $10.00 and may have age restrictions. In addition to all of our trips, we celebrate themed weeks with dress up days such as Beach Week, 80 s Week, and Olympic week, to name a few. ATTENTION: North Penn campers will be provided with FREE breakfast (served at 10:15) and lunch (served at 12:00) every day! Sample menus are available upon request. Campers may be dropped off at 7:30 AM but no later than 9:00 AM. Campers arriving after 9:00 AM will not be allowed to attend that day. All campers MUST be picked up by 6:30 PM. Camp fee includes a summer camp t-shirt Registration must be done in person. All camp registration fees are nonrefundable. If your child is suspended from camp, a refund WILL NOT be given If campers wish to bring a guest, they MUST call two days ahead for Director s approval and pay a $30.00 fee All signups for field trips begin on the Monday of the week of the field trip. Field trip registration is open until the trip is full. Field trips have limited spaces, age restrictions, and are on a first come, first serve basis. Cash or check only Junior Counselor Program This program is only available during the summer. Jr. Counselors will have the opportunity to shadow counselors, participate in job training, and learn about conflict resolution, scheduling and programming. A great insight on what makes our staff excellent! Each session is $110 per week, $75/3 days, $50/2 days per child Jr. Counselors may attend from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM Ages 13-18 MUST APPLY: Applicants will be interviewed by the Camp Director. Applicants are not guaranteed a position. Candidates for our Junior Counselor program are required to apply. Application may be picked up at the North Penn Valley Boys & Girls Club.
