BASKETBALL PROGRAM MISSION Our goal is to effect positive change in the lives of the student athletes through hard work, sportsmanship and discipline. We want to be a pillar of excellence in the community by putting forth maximum effort on the court and by giving back to program supporters and local organizations. Players that compete in our program will attend college with life skills and leadership qualities that will help them be successful in their careers and family lives.

PROGRAM GOALS Reputation for winning CIF Champions within 3 years; State Champions within 5 years Have a program that youngsters aspire to be a part of when they enter high school Have every player attend college Become a part of the local community and give back Help players get scholarships

GREAT PRACTICES Design of practice is the single most important tool for improving daily as a team **Practices are open to parents Meet with coaches for 15 minutes every day prior to practice to explain practice plan and what is expected of them Defense wins championships Every practice planned down to the minute: drills, team talks, water breaks, etc. Maximize repetitions and create an environment of competition Demand effort in every drill Utilize multiple team managers to run drills, keep stats and organize practice Focus on the fundamentals for 20-30 minutes every day Utilize a broad spectrum of drills and tactics to cover all important aspects of team basketball Special emphasis on shooting technique
