Owner s Manual
Assembly Instructions For your Faux Bow Pro (FBP) Please take the time to read your instructions carefully and to familiarize yourself with all the parts. Assembly is very easy once you understand the parts and the directions they go. Step 1. Un-box everything and find all the parts. Here is a list: o 1 Bow handle (Ambidextrous) o 2 Fiberglass bow limbs with bow tips and limb jambs affixed o 1 Bow string with finger guards already in place o 1 Arrow rest (attached to bow handle already) o 1 Quiver clip (capacity 3 arrows) o 3 FBP Impact arrows o 1 Hex wrench o 2 Set screws (which are already screwed into the bow handle) Step 2. Find the set screws in the bow handle and use your hex wrench to back them out so that no part of them is extending inside the bow handle (this allows the limb jamb to push all the way in without obstruction). Step 3. Assemble one bow limb by pushing the limb jam in as far as they will go into the bow handle. Make sure the deeper hole on the limb jamb is facing toward the set
screw which is already in the bow handle. Tighten the set screw so it is flush with the handle. Do not over tighten. (NOTE: Set screw hardware may be different from picture) Step 4. Repeat Step 3. but make sure the bow limb is symmetrical with the other bow limb so the Bow Tips face the same direction (otherwise you wont be able to string your bow). Tighten the set screw so it is flush with the handle. Do not over tighten. (NOTE: Set screw hardware may be different from picture) Step 5. Now the fun part... String your bow. Once you do this a few times, it s easy. Until then it will seem hard. These directions will be for a righty or a lefty. Find a surface that is soft or forgiving so it wont damage your bow tip, not concrete! Grass or carpet is ok. Even the top of your shoe. [A] The point is to preserve your bow tips from getting damaged. [A] Next loop your bow string onto the BOTTOM bow tip (that will be on the ground). Hopefully it s Loop your bow string obvious how to hook the bow tip and the string so it wont slip off. [B] Put the tip you just strung onto the ground so you can push on it without it sliding around (very important). Carefully bend the other bow tip toward the other bow string loop and hook it to the bow tip. Release the pressure and your bow should be strung. Step 6. The Arrow Clip is designed to be for both lefty and righty. It should be on the top and on the other side of your hand grip. Study the picture carefully. This is the setup for a right handed archer. It can be removed and flipped to either side to change the setup. Soft, non-slip surface
Your Faux Bow PRO is assembled! CAREFULLY READ this owners manual before handling or shooting your new Faux Bow PRO (FBP). By not doing so, somebody could be injured or the bow could be damaged. WARNING: Do not Make sure it s secure before letting go make any adjustments or modifications of any sort to your bow. WARNING: Eye protection is recommended. WARNING: Never shoot your bow using anything but official FBP arrows. WARNING: Never shoot a damaged FBP Pinch and stretch to wrap around handle arrow. Inspect your arrows for damage before and after each use. Discard all damaged arrows. WARNING: Never shoot a bow that has been damaged in any way. If any part of the FBP shows wear or damage, do not shoot it. If any part of
the bowstring is fraying or shows signs of wear, replace it ASAP and do not use it to shoot with. WARNING: This is the big one. Many people new to archery do not know this. Never draw or shoot your bow without an official FBP arrow knocked on it. Many bad things can happen. The FBP is designed to be shot with the resistance and draw length of the FBP arrow. Pulling the bow back without an arrow will result in overdrawing your FBP and could snap the handle and injure somebody. Don t do it! WARNING: Never expose your bowstring to sharp objects or open heat sources like a flame that can compromise it, creating a weak point causing it to break. WARNING: Never expose your FBP to extreme heat or prolonged moisture. Damage can occur to your FBP or bowstring from heat exposure, prolonged moisture exposure, or improper storage. Never leave your strung bow in a car as it will overheat and cause the bow limbs to weaken or break. How to shoot your new Faux Bow PRO Shooting any bow is a skill that cannot be demonstrated correctly in an owner s manual. There are many great websites that can give you general instructions about body stance and foot position. They can show you how to grip the handle and draw an arrow correctly. Your FBP is designed to allow you to practice almost all of these archery techniques. Please spend some time on-line accessing these resources so that you can learn the proper way to shoot a bow. One little hint: There is a marking on your bowstring that should be the string center. Periodically check to make sure your finger guards have not shifted and re-center them as needed. Other Safety Tips Your new FBP is a real bow and should be treated as such. It requires special care and handling to achieve and maintain its performance. The string is under extreme tension, which creates an incredible source of energy that should not be taken for granted. ADULT SUPERVISION OF ALL CHILDREN IS RECOMMENDED. We have designed your bow to be a safe and fun product. However, as with any shooting style product, safety rules must be observed. It is HIGHLY recommended that these rules be read before using any bow. Bows and arrows are NOT toys. For maximum safety and enjoyment, always exercise caution and common sense when shooting any bow.
ALWAYS use an appropriate backstop for maximum safety. An appropriate backstop must be constructed and must extend beyond the perimeter of the target. The recommended backstop size is determined by the accuracy and ability of the shooter. With a low level of shooter accuracy, the backstop perimeter requirement must be increased appropriately. NEVER aim or draw any bow in the direction of a person. Aim and draw ONLY in the direction of an appropriate target. ALWAYS have a full view of the path to and beyond the target when shooting. ALWAYS check all FBP arrow components prior to shooting, including nock and tip. Loose components can cause unbalanced arrow flight and partial dry firing of the bow. If a FBP arrow has been damaged, or if you believe it has been damaged, do not shoot it again. Any alteration of the FBP may cause serious injury to the user. Don t do it! After your done shooting and storing your FBP It is extremely important that you remove the bowstring while you are not shooting. This will prolong the life of the bow arms and bow handle as well as the bow string. Failure to do so will eventually lead to failure of one of the parts mentioned. It may even be hazardous due to weakened bow parts. Make sure you remove the string in between shooting times as well as when storing. Warning: Never leave you bow strung, especially in a hot environment like a car. This will damage the bow limbs and bow handle over time. Performance will be affected greatly. Un-string your bow while not in use! This sticker is on your bow for a reason. Failure to follow this warning sticker would be extremely bad for your bow... Why are some of the parts and pictures different on my bow than the box or owner s manual? Because at the time of printing certain parts were not available so we made substitutions to be able to ship on time.
