Welcome to the inspiresport Scottish Youth FA Cup As valued members of the Scottish Youth FA (SYFA), we d like to welcome your team to the inspiresport Scottish Youth FA Cup 2015/16! We are excited to be official sponsors of the SYFA, being able to help encourage all boys and girls throughout Scotland to play organised football and enabling every child to develop and flourish as a player in fun, safe environments. Dear Club Secretary Can I take this opportunity to thank your club for entering the inspiresport Scottish Youth FA Cup for this season and I hope that you enjoy the competition. Clubs at age groups 21s eliminated from the inspiresport Scottish Youth FA Cup at Rounds 1 or 2 will automatically be entered into the Lady Darling Supplementary Cup. The following procedure applies to both competitions. As all club registrations and National Cup communications will be online, please observe the following procedures: 1. Login to the SYFA registrations system at www.syfaregistrations.co.uk then click on the menu button SCOTTISH CUP OPPONENTS. Then enter your club s login details then enter your club SYFA ID number and your club details will appear. If you cannot login or if your club details fail to appear your club is not entered into this season s competition. 2. Go to the SYFA website www.scottishyouthfa.co.uk then menu button SCOTTISH CUP then select the correct draw e.g. Round 2 Draw. Go to your age group and find out who your club s opponents are plus all match details. If there is no referee listed the home club must contact their league/regional secretary. Please note that there may be byes in the Prelim Round and Round One of the inspiresport Scottish Youth FA Cup and Round 1 of the Lady Darling. 3. Repeat point 1 but after your club login please insert your opponent s SYFA ID number and record all of the secretary s details in order that you can now make contact to arrange the tie. This should be done even if you are the away team. 4. Download the National Cup teamline from the SYFA website: www.scottishyouthfa.co.uk 5. After the match, Home or Away, you must phone your result to the relevant regional and match secretary. In the event of a postponement the match will automatically be rescheduled for the following week. See Rule 112 6. All winning clubs must immediately check the next round draw for match details. Scottish Cup Dates 2015/2016 Please find below the proposed format and timetable for the 2015/2016 competitions: 1 August 2015 12 September 2015 3 October 2015 6 October 2015 Final date for acceptance of entries. Dates for first and second rounds of the Scottish Cup to be advised by the local Regional Secretary. Round 1 Scottish Cup at 21s. Round 2 Scottish Cup at 21s. Regional Secretaries to advise SYFA office of teams for Round 3 Draw 31 Oct/1 Nov 2015 7/8 November 2015 21/22 November 2015 28/29 November 2015 5/6 December 2015 6/7 February 2016 13 February 2016 5 March 2016 6 March 2016 13 March 2016 20 March 2016 9/10 April 2016 Round 3 Scottish Cup at all age levels Lady Darling Round 1 Round 4 Scottish Cup at all age levels Lady Darling Round 2 Round 5 Scottish Cup at all age levels except 21s Quarter Finals of the Scottish Cup at all age level. From and including quarter finals all ties must not be played on blaes Lady Darling Round 3 Lady Darling Quarter Finals Semi Finals of the Scottish Cup at all age levels. SYFA will attempt to have a semi-final in each region. All Semi Final ties to be arranged at a venue within the local community of 1 of the participating clubs. The venue will be decided by SYFA when competing teams are known. (Rule 112) Competing teams will be asked to make a written submission should they wish to have the semi final tie played within their region. All participating clubs must be free to play on 6 March, 13 March and 20 March 2016. Lady Darling Semi Finals Ties All Scottish Cup Finals will again be played at the Excelsior Stadium, Airdrie. Between 14 December 2015 and Sunday 25 January 2016 inclusive SYFA will not list any National Cup ties however should clubs who are behind or have to replay (21s only) wish to play, this will be acceptable provided that both teams and their regional secretaries agree.

SYFA Supplementary and Playing Rules All matches under the jurisdiction of the SYFA shall be played in accordance with the Supplementary and Playing Rules that can be downloaded in the Information Downloads Section then under the sub heading Policies and Procedures then Supplementary and Playing Rules from the SYFA website www.scottishyouthfa.co.uk Extract from Rules Rule 17 All members shall be subject to all relevant rules, clauses, paragraphs and sub paragraphs of the SYFA Articles of Association, Supplementary and Playing Rules, Standing Orders, Player Protection Policy, Adults at Risk Protection Policy, Disciplinary Procedures and all related policies and any amendments thereto and any regulations or decisions promulgated by the Board and regulations or decisions of the Scottish FA shall be binding on all members. All members consent to the SYFA holding and processing the personal data (including sensitive personal data) that we collect from members in accordance with the DPA and our data protection policy (which is available on our website). In particular, we may use information we hold about members for the purposes of their membership of the SYFA including to contact them, send them documentation or in relation to advertising, marketing of SYFA related events and sponsors products and events, public relations, accounts, records, administration of membership records including player registration, preparation of teamlines and fundraising. Rule 76 All matches where there is less than 11 players in a team and played under the jurisdiction of the SYFA shall be played in accordance with the Laws of the Game as settled by the International Football Association Board. Size of Ball - Rule 79 Colours of Strips - Rule 80 Substitutes - Rule 81 In all matches the substitution of players will be permitted in accordance with the following stipulations, which must be adhered to; 13 s to 21 s age groups - 5 substitutes from 5 named substitutes. At all age groups players substituted are available to retake the field of play at a later time in the match. Players Registered after 31 March - Rule 90 Technical Area - Rule 98 Match Results - Rule 100 SYFA National Cup Competitions - Rules 104 to 128 Medals - Rule 108 Home Team - Rule 112 The clubs, which are first drawn in each tie, shall have choice of ground except in the case of the semi-final and final ties, which shall be played on grounds selected by the Board.

Replays - Rule 113 & 114 Ground Inspection - Rule 122 (For an information Flowchart please click here) Protests - Rule 144 Extract from Rule 144 - Where the protest regards an alleged ineligible player the club protested against must supply to the club protesting and the Chief Executive in writing proof of the player s eligibility within 3 days of receipt of the protest. The required proof to be sent by recorded signed for or special delivery. The supplied proof will be used by the committee hearing the protest. What should I do today? 1. Telephone your opponents and make initial contact. Give opponent your mobile telephone no. 2. Make arrangements for the game - book the park for the game. 3. The club/league, which is the home team in each tie, shall play the match on the day their league normally competes with a 1pm kick-off, unless otherwise agreed, e.g. Saturday or Sunday. (Rule 121) 4. Confirm with your opponents what colours will be worn (Rule 80), type of surface of proposed park (Rule 112), proposed kick off time.(rule 121). Remember - in the event of a colour clash the visiting team will have the choice of colours. Home team changes. 5. Telephone the match referee and confirm his availability and inform him of the date and time of the game and colours of both the teams. 6. If you have any problems with the match referee, telephone your Regional Secretary for a replacement immediately. What should I do next? 1. Ensure that all players who will play for your club in any cup tie are registered. A player shall not be eligible to play for a member club in a cup-tie unless he is registered and appears on the club s list of Registered Players at www.syfaregistrations.co.uk. It is your club s responsibility to check the registration system. 2. Keep in contact with your opponents and the referee up to kick off time on the day the game is actually played. 3. If the weather is doubtful keep your opponents, the referee and the League/Regional Secretary informed of any pitch inspections. 4. If your opponents are travelling a distance for the game your club may wish to supply them with hospitality. If you do, keep your opponents informed so that they can tell the bus company etc. 5. If you have any problems, contact your League/Regional Secretary. What do I need for the game? - Corner flags and goal nets are compulsory for all matches. For all ties before the quarterfinal it is permissible to play matches on grass, blaes or third generation artificial turf with a rubber infill (Rule 112) - Quarterfinal ties must not be played on blaes - Two footballs of playing standard and the correct size (13s size 4 all other age groups are size 5) - Fully completed and correct teamlines (Rule 60, 77 & 93) - Playing kit for team with numbers as per (Rule 87). Ensure that the players wear the correct number according to the teamlines

Duration of the game 13s and 14s - 70 minutes 15s and 16s - 80 minutes 17s, 19s and 21s - 90 minutes Substitutions In all ties the substitution of players will be permitted in accordance with the following stipulations,which must be adhered to; 13s to 21s age groups - 5 substitutes from 5 named substitutes. (Rule 81) At all age groups, players substituted are available to retake the field of play at a later time in the match. What if the game ends in a draw? In the event of the score being level at all age levels except 21s after the stipulated playing time has been completed and the game is still level extra time will be played. If still level penalty kicks will be taken. 21s age level is different If the first game, up to and including the quarter final is drawn, it will be replayed at the ground of the away team two weeks later. Make arrangements immediately after the first game. Kick off will be 30 minutes earlier to allow for extra time, if required. New home team should contact their Regional Secretary for a referee. If the replayed game is still level at the end of normal time, extra time will be played. If still level, penalty kicks will be taken. Extra time 13s, 14s, 15s and 16s - 10 minutes each way 17s, 19s and 21s - 15 minutes each way

Players Eligibility Players must only play at the age group at which they are registered as per SYFA (Rule 39). Date qualification is ON or after 1st of January. Players must be registered with your club using the SYFA Online Registration System BEFORE they are allowed to participate in ANY cup tie. It is the clubs responsibility to check online that all players are registered BEFORE they play in a cup tie. If the association for any reason rejects the player s registration form you need time to register the player BEFORE he/she participates in any cup tie. Players MUST wear the number noted on the teamlines. Players cannot play for more than ONE club in the relevant Scottish Cup competition unless the club for which they played folded BEFORE 1st October in the year of the competition beginning. Players must be registered on or BEFORE 31st March in the current season to play for your club in any cup competition after that date. (Goalkeeper exemption - but check with SYFA). Players playing in any cup final MUST have been eligible to play in the semi final of that cup other than through being under suspension.you must give two identical copies of the teamline to the match referee BEFORE the game can start. You will receive a copy of your opponent s teamlines BEFORE the game starts. Failure to fill in official Scottish Cup teamlines properly WILL result in an automatic fine. Referees Fees 2015/2016 - The Referees fees in all Scottish Cup Ties at all age levels will be 36.00 in total. AssistantReferees fees will be 24.00. Travel expenses are not paid until the quarter finals. The Regional Secretary and/or local league secretary of the home club will appoint referees up to the quarter final round Northern and Tayside Clubs should contact their Regional Secretary and/or local league secretary regarding referee s fees, accommodation, pitch inspections and the referee s/assistant referees fee(s) Home Club The HOME club pays for the park, changing accommodation, pitch inspections and the referee s/assistant referees fees in full Away Club The AWAY team only pays their own travel expenses Teamlines You must use the teamlines downloaded from the SYFA Website www.scottishyouthfa.co.uk You must complete all details required on the teamline You must write clearly and in black or blue ink You must give player s shirt number, full proper name, SFA Player Registration ID number, date of birth and place of registration of birth You must ensure that your Club Registration Number is on both teamlines. No abbreviations or dittos will be accepted

Responsibilities HOME CLUB is responsible for Ground availability, conditions and pitch inspections (Rule 121 & 122) Changing accommodation (Rule 82 & 83) Day of match (Rule 121) Advertising for match if appropriate Crowd behaviour, conduct of spectators, calling of police, ambulance etc Security of personal belongings of both teams and the match official Notification of the result to the Regional Secretary before 6pm on day of match (automatic 10.00 fine for failure to comply) AND notification of the result to their league secretary Payment of the match referee and assistant referee where applicable AWAY CLUB is responsible for Travelling to the match in plenty of time for kick off Conduct of their spectators, players and officials Notification of your result to the Regional Secretary before 6pm on the day of the match (automatic 10.00 fine for failure to comply) AND notification of the result to their league secretary) REGIONAL SECRETARY is responsible for Appointing the referee on behalf of the SYFA Collecting all Match results in their Region Forwarding the Match results to the Association Office before noon on Monday following the games by e-mail, fax or letter Making match results available to all local and regional press Making match results available to all other Regional Secretaries Advise if any match has not taken place complete with reason For semi final ties hosted by the region, carry out a pitch inspection and inform both teams and match officials on the status of the match FOOTBALL OPERATIONS WORKING GROUP is responsible for the smooth running of the competition SYFA OFFICE is responsible for the collation of results, discipline plus notification of cup draws as posted on the SYFA website making all arrangements for Cup Finals CUP FINAL DATES 21s and 16s on Sunday 1 May 2016 19s and 17s Sunday 8 May 2016 13s, 14s and 15s on Sunday 22 May 2016 at EXCELSIOR STADIUM AIRDRIE
