The meet will be run using Daktronics Timing equipment with touch pads and a 6 lane scoreboard. Fixed starting blocks at starting end with 14 depth. There is a 4 depth at the turn end of the pool. MEET SCHEDULE (Tentative): 6:45 a.m. Doors open 7:00 7:30 a.m. and 7:30-8:00 a.m. Warm ups (two sessions) 7:40 a.m. Positive check in closes 8:00 a.m. Timers & officials meeting 8:15 a.m. Meet begins 12:00 p.m. Afternoon session warm-ups 12:40 p.m. Positive check in closes (40 min after warm ups) 1:00 p.m. Afternoon session begins (60 min after warm ups) WARM UPS: OFFICIAL RULES: Warm ups will be divided into two sessions, one for the morning session and one for the afternoon session. Once entries have been received, a warm-up schedule will be assigned based on the number of swimmers per team and the distance traveled to Niles West High School. Each session will last approximately one half hour. Six lanes will be available for warm ups. All current USA Swimming & ISI Rules and Regulations apply. ISI and USA safety rules will be strictly enforced.
TIMED FINALS: ELIGIBILTY: COACHES: ENTRY LIMIT: AWARDS: All events will be conducted on a timed final basis. Heats will be reseeded 30 minutes prior to the start of each session, after positive check in closes. Deck entries will not be accepted. Names of relay participants must be submitted to the Clerk of the Course no later than 30 minutes prior to the event. Any swimmer who swims in at least one individual event is eligible to participate on relays. 1. All USA Swimming registered swimmers are eligible. 2. All swimmers must be registered prior to entry deadline. 3. Entries listed as Registration applied for will not be accepted to the SWIMS database. 4. A swimmer s age as of the date of the first day of competition will determine their age for the meet. 5. Note: the host team is a YMCA and will accept entries for swimmers who are not USA Swimming registered. 6. Swimmers who are not registered for USA Swimming will not be entered into the SWIMS database. 7. This is a positive check-in meet. All coaches must be currently registered with USA Swimming and must continuously display their current USA Coach Member registration card. Students, non-participating swimmers, and those 5 and over $1.00. Heat sheets will be available at the admissions table. Swimmers may use locker rooms to change and shower. Personal items are not to be stored in lockers. Food will be available throughout the day in the concession area. No food will be allowed on the deck at any time. In addition, a full line of swim apparel will be available from an apparel vendor. We will have two timers with stopwatches at each lane, backup button and backup timer. Please notify your swimmers parents that they will have responsibility for timing. Timing assignments will be made proportionate to the number of entries to the meet. Teams may staff their lanes as they choose.

ILLINOIS SWIMMING, INC. SAFETY REQUIREMENTS GENERAL WARM UPS: SPECIFIC WARM UP: COACHES RESPONSIBILITIES: First 30 Minutes No diving feet first, 3 point entry in a cautious manner ONLY All lanes general warm up, no sprint or pace work Last 15 Minutes Lane # 1, 6 circle swimming only Lane # 2 & 5 block starts, one way only Lane # 3 & 4 general WAJ, circle swimming only Inform and instruct swimmers as to safety requirements and warm up procedures Shall be on deck supervising their swimmers HOST TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Provide a minimum of two (2) marshals to work under the head referee and / or Meet Director during the warm ups. 2. One marshal shall be the Safety Coordinator and be a registered non-athlete USS member. 3. Post Lane usage signs. 4. Post warm up times and safety information. 5. Hazardous areas within the entire usable area of the meet to be identified, marked and patrolled or removed. MARSHALS RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Oversee and enforce safety requirements and procedures. 2. To be visible and identifiable in dress. 3. They have the authority to remove from the deck for the remainder of the warm up period, any swimmer or coach who is in violation of the safety procedures. 4. Flagrant violation(s) could result in the swimmer being barred from their next individual event. MISCELLANEOUS: 1. Backstrokes and Swimmers must make sure the starting block and lane are clear before attempting a start. 2. Swimmers shall not jump and/or dive in the pool to stop another swimmer on a recalled start. 3. Swimmers are required to exit the pool when warm ups are over and to be courteous to other swimmers using the same lanes during warm ups. 4. Warm ups are not a time for visiting or playing with other swimmers. 5. Warm up procedures are in force during any breaks of competition when the pool is used for warm up or cool down purposes. 6. Host clubs with consent from ISI may modify any of the above rules so long as safety considerations are not compromised, changes are noted in the meet information and posted.
