Taylor has been associated with the Wildcat women s basketball team for over 27 years as a player and coach. She has the second-most wins among coaches in Big Sky history and has produced 23 All-Big Sky First Team selections and five District 7 Kodak All-Americans. In 22 seasons as head coach Taylor has amassed a career record of 305-325 at Weber State. She is 177-157 all-time in Big Sky Conference games. Heading into this season she has coached the Wildcats in 621 games. Prior to 2007-08, the Wildcats had strung together 12-straight appearances in the Big Sky Tournament and had advanced to the championship game in four of the previous six years. In 23 seasons as head coach Taylor has been through it all with the Wildcats. She has coached Weber State against 102 different schools during her tenure and has coached WSU in games in 23 different states. She has coached the most games against Eastern Washington, Montana, and Northern Arizona, all of which she has faced 47 times during her career with the Wildcats. For all news and information about Weber State athletics visit, the official home page of Wildcat athletics. Rosters, pictures, bios, stats, scores, and much more will all be available at the site, which will also include live volleyball stats for every home match throughout the season. Looking back The Wildcats split a pair of games last week, narrowly falling 62-55 to Oregon State and then defeating Boise State 79-70. Both games were in the Dee Events Center. Patterson showing off her range Sophomore guard Megan Patterson reached a career-high point total for the second consecutive week when she knocked down 27 points against Boise State on Saturday. The Columbus, Mont.- native has led Weber State in scoring in five of its last six games and is averaging a team-best 13.4 points per game. She has hit 25 3-point field goals, including a career-high seven against Boise State PATTERSON on Saturday. The seven 3-point field goals are the second-most in Weber State school history and the seventh-most in Big Sky Conference history. She is shooting 43.9 percent from 3-point range, the second-best mark in the Big Sky this season. On Monday afternoon, Patterson was named as Big Sky Conference player of the week for the week of Dec. 13-19. It is her first career player of the week award, and the first for the Wildcats this season. Anderson closing in on her 1,000th career point Senior forward Caitlin Anderson rang up a season-high 26 points on Saturday against Boise State, the second-most in her four-year career. The performance puts the fifth-year senior and Reno, Nev.-native just 16 points away from becoming the 16th player in Weber State women s basketball history to score 1,000 career points. Anderson currently has 984 points, and is second on the team in scoring this season averaging 12.2 points per outing. Anderson has reached double figures scoring in 51 of her 91 career games for Weber State and has 566 career rebounds. Rewriting the records book On Tuesday afternoon, the Weber State University women s basketball team hosted Oregon State as part its fourth annual Field Trip Day promotion. Despite a narrow, tough loss to the Beavers, the results were a resounding success as 4,877 fans were attendance, including thousands of northern Utah area youths. The fans easily eclipsed the previous school record of 4,540 set during last year s Field Trip Day against Southern Utah. Looking ahead Following Tuesday s game against Southern Utah in Cedar City, Utah, Weber State will take a short break for Christmas, and will return to action on Dec. 30 to take on the University of Nevada-Reno at 7 p.m. in the Dee Events Center.
