DECEMBER December 2-3: SNOWSHOE BUILDING WORKSHOP Reserve your spot and learn how to build and lace your own pair of Bear Paw-style snowshoes. This is a popular program so get your registration form and sign up today. This is a two-day program and costs $185/pair of snowshoes. December 29: FULLMOON SNOWSHOE HIKE Meet at the Contact Station. Several pairs of snowshoes are available to borrow if you don t have your own. Frist come, first served. Snowshoe fitting at 7:30 p.m. Hike begins at 8 p.m. Approximately a 2-mile hike through unbroken snow. Runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Recreation Passports There are no admission charges for Hartwick Pines festivals or events, but a Recreation Passport ($11 for regular vehicles, $5 for motorcycles) is required for park entry for Michigan residents. The Recreation Passport system recently replaced the motor vehicle sticker for Michigan residents. Out-of-state visitors will still be required to purchase non-resident motor vehicle stickers at a cost of $32 annually or $9 daily.
