We have various Veterans Day programs that our Officers and members have been invited to participate in. WANTED ALL VETER- ANS! On November 7th, 8:00 AM at Mountain Range High School, 12500 Huron St., Westminster, CO. They want to honor our Veterans. Coffee and rolls for breakfast and lunch afterwards is being provided. See the poster in the Post. Also on November 9th at 10 AM, Jefferson Academy (behind the Post) will be honoring our Veterans with the POW/MIA ceremony performed by the officers of our Post. Come support the Legion and our Veterans and share this time with the kids! Also on Sunday, November 11th, which is Veteran's Day and Post 11-11's birthday we will have cake and I understand some drink specials for all of our Veterans. Thank you to all our Veterans for your sacrifice so that we may have our freedom. Last but not least, a big thank you to all of our volunteers who work hard to make our Post what it is today. Let your volunteers know they are appreciated. Walt Lee, Commander AUXILIARY TEAM: Together Everyone Achieves More! We are all working for the same goal, VETERANS. Reminder of President Laurie's Theme- Veteran Passionate Remembering the Veteran that ignited your passion to join the ALA and how you continue to honor their memory. We need to keep the programs going and not let them down. They went and did not hesitate to fight for all of us. We need to do the same in renewing, retaining and bringing in new members. We currently have 107 members and Department set a goal for 2019 to increase our membership to 116. I would like for us to meet our goal this year. If you know of anyone that could be a member, please see any Auxiliary Officer to learn more about becoming part of Auxiliary. Don t forget you can renew your membership online @ www.alaforveterans.org or drop off at the Post anytime. Thank you to everyone that helped at Auxiliary breakfast this past month from those of you who made casseroles or donated breakfast item or got up early on a Sunday morning to volunteer their time. Special thanks to Lenette for organizing all of us ladies. We raised $250 for our charities. Thank you again everyone for volunteering your time and money. We are kicking off a new fundraiser for the holidays! The American Legion Auxiliary Post 11-11 King Soopers card. Ask your bartender or an Auxiliary member on how to get a card. Once you get your card you simply pre-load your King Soopers card before ringing up your items, and then pay with that card. It s that simple! King Soopers Community Rewards program will then donate 5% back to the Auxiliary for http://www.legionpost11-11.org

Stacey Honeyman, Auxiliary President SAL SQUADRON SAL: would like to thank everyone for coming out to Jim Sutherin s memorial service. Jim will be missed by many people, family, friends and members of SAL. SAL will be donating funds to the Denver rescue mission to feed 100 people for Thanksgiving dinner. SAL next meeting will be November 8th at 6::00 pm in the back hall. All members are welcome. We would like to wish everyone to have a wonderful Thanksgiving and enjoy the time with family and friends. Huey Geller, SAL Commander SAL CHAPLAIN O lord, keep us grateful as a nation for the blessing that are ours. Preserve in our hearts thy gifts that inspired our fore fathers to set aside the day of Thanksgiving and may we be great- full for that. Amen. Michael Mcinerney, SAL Chaplain have a Military night on Friday, November 9th starting with dinner at 6:00 and entertainment to follow. Veterans do you still have your uniform or maybe your hat? Wear them for our Military night. On Sunday, November 11th we will celebrate our birthday with cake and maybe even some drink specials for our Veterans. Come in and see us. November 17th at 1:00 pm we are having a Cribbage Tournament. Everyone is invited to attend. We will collect $10.00 from each player. $5.00 goes into the pot for the winners and $5.00 will be donated to our Remodel Fund. There will be a sign-up sheet at the bar. Just ask the bartender. Again this year, Robyn is having the Annual Legion Thanksgiving dinner. Everyone is invited. The meat will be provided. Just bring a side dish or dessert to share. Dinner will start at 2:00 pm. Annie and I are cooking breakfast on Sunday, November 25th. Annie is doing her famous omelet's. This is a fundraiser to help some Denver Public School teachers and therapists with necessary items for their classes that they have to pay for out of their own funds. Come in and help us and have a great breakfast too! This month especially please pray for all of our veterans and military who have gave so much for our freedom.
