Stay tuned for details. The Day Ladies' Fall Tournament is set for Tuesday, September 25th. Mark your calendars and plan to play in this event! Ladies' Golf Association, Night League The Night Ladies are looking forward to being back on the course soon! We are so excited about our beautiful new greens! During the greens refurbishment activities, the ladies have been taking advantage of target practice on Tuesday nights and honing our short-game skills. Of special note for upcoming Night Ladies activities, the members have voted to cancel this year s Night Ladies Member/Guest Tournament scheduled for Saturday, October 13. The cancellation was due, in part, because October 13 is one of the weekends of the area schools Fall Break and many of our players would be on family travel. In addition, another area club is hosting a 2-day ladies tournament the same weekend which drew heavily from our participants' list. The Night Ladies apologize for the cancellation but plan to have a great Member/Guest tournament in 2019! The Night Ladies also are seeking nominees from their membership for new league officers. The terms of the current league officers expire this year, so we re looking for ladies to continue to lead our league into bigger and better things in the next few years. During the past few years, our league membership and participation have continued to grow so we want to keep that momentum going forward! If you are a Night League member and would like to be an officer of the league or would like to nominate a league member for an officer s position, please contact Terry Sorrell @ sorrellta1@gmail.com or call 270-331-0977.
Water Aerobics Water Aerobics will continue in September with classes on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays while the weather permits. Classes start at 9:45 AM. No need to sign up in advance - classes are on a drop-in basis. What a great way to enjoy the summer weather, the pool AND get in a workout. Cost is $3 per class. Lots of action has been going on this past week on the pickleball courts. Four clinics were held, and each clinic was limited to 16 players. The courts were packed with new and seasoned players wanting to improve their skills. The fee was a donation of canned goods for The Community Kitchen and pet supplies for Project Hope. The clinics brought in $300 and a truckload of supplies for these charities. Clinicians were Nancy Sutton and her sister Marla Boyer who flew here from The Villages, Florida, to assist with the training. The beautiful new pickleball courts are just another amenity that we have added to RHCC. For more information about open play or clinics, contact Nancy Sutton at PickleballKY002@aol.com.
