As a safety measure, everyone is required to wear an Events Wristband at all times. All teams and team managers are provided with an Events Wristband. Teams will receive Event Wristbands from their Regional Director at the Going to State IC Workshop. Parents, family members, and supporters MUST purchase an Events Wristband. Please be careful as wristbands are nonrefundable.
THREE WAYS TO PURCHASE 3 PURCHASING AT THE TOURNAMENT i. Wristbands will be sold Friday night at the Team Mixer, Saturday at Mansfield HS and Timberview HS, and Saturday night at Ellis Davis Field House * If you have supporters unable to purchase wristbands, please contact the Texas Affiliate office by emailing Sue Shanks at shankss@greenvilleisd.com or Jenny Jarvis at jarvisj@greenvilleisd.com to receive a Hardship Events Wristband application. 1 WHEN ORDERED WITH TEAM T-SHIRT AND PIN ORDER i. Please ask your Team Manager to order the number of wristbands you and your family will need ii. The cost is $10 per wristband iii. Order deadline is March 9, 2018 2 PURCHASING ONLINE i. After March 10, 2018 wristbands may be ordered online at http://register.txdi.org/2018wristbands ii. The cost is $12 per wristband and wristbands will be mailed iii. Order deadline is March 20, 2018
Official Hotel is the Hilton Arlington and is off limits to teams and supporters. Any teams staying or visiting the hotel during the tournament will not be scored for advancement, but will be allowed to showcase their performance.

Each team advancing to the Affiliate Tournament is required to furnish one volunteer for four hours. Each volunteer is to go to the link: https://goo.gl/cn71ki and complete the questionnaire. The volunteer will be scheduled as not to conflict with their team s performance. Vera Hayes, Volunteer Coordinator, will provide more information to your volunteer after the competition schedule is set.
Team Managers will receive a Team Manager pin. When you pick up your scores for your central challenge, the Head Appraiser will give each Team Manager a pin for helping with your team. Please pick up your scores. We do not email or mail scores out after the tournament.
The Closing Ceremony will begin at 8:00 PM at the Ellis Davis Field House located in Dallas off of Interstate Hwy 35. The doors open at 7:00 PM. Team members are required to wear their regional T-shirts and be seated with their region in assigned areas. Only team members and team managers are allowed to sit in the region s assigned seats. Confetti Eggs and Silly String are prohibited at the closing ceremony.
The following number of teams from each challenge, site, and level, plus ties, and all University Level teams will advance to Global Finals. The Going to Global Finals meeting is going to be done as a webinar. You will receive information about the date and times of the webinar before the tournament. There will be two different webinars one for teams going to Global Finals for the first time and one for the experienced team managers who have been to Global Finals. Global Finals will be held at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tennessee Wednesday, May 23 thru Saturday, May 26.
