Peace be upon you, O vengeance of Allah, son of His vengeance, and the unavenged so far. Peace be upon you and upon the souls that resided in your courtyard. www.duas.org Pg1 ال س لام ع لي ك ي ا ا ب ا ع ب د ٱل له ال س لام ع لي ك ي ا ب ن ر س و ل ٱل له ال س لام ع ليك ي ا خ ي ر ة ٱل له و ٱب ن خير ت ه ال س لام ع لي ك ي ا ب ن ام ي ر ٱ لم و م نين و ٱب ن س يد ٱ لو ص يين ال س لام ع لي ك ي ا ب ن فاط م ة س يد ة نس اء ٱ لع ا لم ين ال س لام ع لي ك ي ا ثار ٱل له و ٱب ن ثا ره و ٱ ل و تر ٱ لم و تور ال س لام ع لي ك و ع لى ٱلا ر و ا ح ٱ لت ي ح ل ت بف ناي ك Peace of Allah be upon all of you from me forever as long as I am existent and as long as there are day and night. O Ab -`Abdull h, unbearable is the sorrow and excruciating and unbearable is the misfortune of you for us and for all the people of Islam. Excruciating and unbearable has been your misfortune in the heavens for all the inhabitants of the heavens. So, may Allah curse the people who laid the basis of persecution and wronging against you, O Members of the Household. May Allah curse the people who drove you away from your position and removed you away from your ranks that Allah has put you in. ع لي كم م ني ج م يع ا س لام م ا ب قي ت و ب ق ي ٱل لي ل و ٱل نه ار ي ا ا ب ا ع ب د ٱل له ل قد ع ظم ت ٱل ر ز ي ة و ج ل ت و ع ظم ت ٱ لم صيب ة بك ٱل له ا ب د ا ع لي نا و ع لى ج م ي ع ا ه ل ٱلا س لا م و ج ل ت و ع ظم ت م صيب تك ف ي ٱل سم او ات ع لى ج م ي ع اه ل ٱل سم او ات ف لع ن ٱل له ا م ة ا ع لي كم ا ه ل ٱ لب ي ت سس ت ا س اس ٱل ظ ل م و ٱ لج و ر و لع ن ٱل له ا م ة د فع ت كم ع ن م قام كم و ا زا ل ت كم ع ن م ر ات ب كم ٱ لت ي ر تب كم ٱل له ف يه ا
May Allah curse the people who slew you. May Allah curse those who paved the way for them to do so and who made possible for them to fight against you. I repudiate them in the presence of Allah and You www.duas.org Pg2 و لع ن ٱل له ا م ة ق ت ل ت كم و لع ن ٱل له ٱ لم م هد ين له م بٱل تم ك ي ن م ن ق تال كم ب ر ي ت ا لى ٱل له و ا لي كم م نه م and I repudiate their devotees, followers, and loyalists. و م ن ا شي اع هم و ا تب اع هم و او ل ي اي هم O Ab -`Abdull h, I am at peace with those who are at peace with you and I am at war against those who have fought against you up to the Resurrection Day. May Allah also curse the family of Ziy d and the family of Marw n. May Allah also curse the descendants of Umayyah altogether. May Allah also curse the son of Marj nah. May Allah also curse `Umar the son of Sa`d. May Allah also curse Shimr. May Allah also curse the people who saddled up, gave reins to their horses, and masked their faces in preparation for fighting against you. May my father and mother be ransoms for you. Extremely insufferable is my commiserations with you; ي ا ا ب ا ع ب د ٱل له ا ني س لم ل م ن س ا ل م ك م و ح ر ب ل م ن ح ار ب كم ا لى ي و و لع ن ٱل له ا ل زي اد و ا ل م ر و ان و لع ن ٱل ل ه ب ني ا م ي ة و لع ن ٱل له ٱب ن م ر ج ا ن ة قاط ب ة و لع ن ٱل له ع م ر ب ن س ع د و لع ن ٱل له ش م ر ا و لع ن ٱل له ا م ة ا س ر ج ت و ا لج م ت و ت ن قب ت ل ق تال ك با بي ا ن ت و ا ي م ل قد ع ظم م صا بي بك م ٱ لق ي ام ة so, I beseech Allah Who has honored your position and honored me because of you فا س ا ل ٱل له ٱ لذ ي ا كر م م قام ك و ا كر م ني بك to endue me with the chance to avenge you with a (Divinely) supported leader from the Household of Mu ammad, ا ن ي ر ز ق ني ط لب ثا رك م ع ا م ا م م ن صو ر م ن ا ه ل ب ي ت م ح مد peace of Allah be upon him and his Household. ص لى ٱل له ع لي ه و ا ل ه
O Allah, (please) make me illustrious in Your sight in the name of al- usayn, peace be upon him, in this world and in the Hereafter. O Ab -`Abdull h, I do seek nearness to Allah, to His Messenger, to the Commander of the Faithful, to F imah, to al- asan, and to you by means of loyalty to you and by means of repudiation of those who fought against you and incurred your hostility, and repudiation of those who laid the basis of persecution and wronging against you all. I also repudiate, in the presence of Allah and His Messenger, those who laid the basis of all that, established their foundations on it, and continued in wronging and persecuting you and your adherents. In the presence of Allah and you all do I repudiate these. And I seek nearness to Allah and then to you all by means of declaring loyalty to you and to your loyalists and declaring repudiation of your enemies and those who incur animosity of you and repudiation of their adherents and followers. loyalist to those who have been loyalist to you, and enemy of those who have shown enmity towards you. So, I beseech Allah Who has endued me with the honor of recognizing you and recognizing your loyalists and Who conferred upon me with repudiation of your enemies, to include me with you in this world and in the Hereafter and to make firm step of honesty for me with you in this world and in the Hereafter. I also beseech Him to make me attain the praiseworthy status that you enjoy with Allah and to bestow upon me with the chance to take my own vengeance with a leader of true guidance who is (Divinely) sustained and expressing the truth from among you. I also beseech Allah in your names and in the name of the standing that you enjoy with Him to recompense me for my commiserations for you with the most favorite thing that He ever gives as compensation for misfortunes that has afflicted anyone. (Your) misfortune has been so astounding and so catastrophic for Islam and for all the heavens and the entire earth. one of those who receive blessings, mercy, and forgiveness from You. O Allah, (please) make me live my lifetime in the same way as Mu ammad and Mu ammad s Household lived and make me die on the same principles on which Mu ammad and Mu ammad s Household died. O Allah, this day has been regarded as blessed day by the descendants of Umayyah and by the son of the liver-eater woman, the accursed and son of the accursed by the tongue of You and by the tongue of Your Prophet, Allah s peace be upon him, on every occasion and in every situation, which Your Prophet, Allah s peace be upon him, attended. O Allah, pour curses upon Ab -Sufy n, Mu` wiyah, and Yaz d son of Mu` wiyah. May Your curse be upon them incessantly and everlastingly. This is the day on which the family of Ziy d and the family of Marw n gloated because they had killed al- usayn, Allah s blessings be upon him. So, O Allah, pour frequent curses upon them and double for them the painful chastisement. O Allah, I do seek nearness to You on this day, on this occasion, and on all the days of my lifetime, by repudiating these and invoking Your curses upon them, www.duas.org Pg5 م من ت نا له م نك ص لو ا ت و ر ح م ة و م غف ر ة ال له م ٱج ع ل م ح ي اي م ح ي ا م ح مد و ا ل م ح مد و م م ات ي م م ا ت م ح مد و ا ل م ح مد ال له م ا ن ه ذا ي و م تب ر ك ت به ب نو ا م ي ة و ٱب ن ا ك لة ٱلا كب ا د ٱل لع ين ٱب ن ٱل لع ي ن ع لى ل س ا نك و ل س ان ن ب يك ص لى ٱل له ع لي ه و ا ل ه ف ي ك ل م و ط ن و م و ق ف و قف ف يه ن ب يك ص لى ٱل له ع لي ه و ا ل ه ال له م ٱ لع ن ا ب ا س في ان و م ع ا وي ة و ي زيد ب ن م ع ا وي ة ع لي هم م نك ٱل لع ن ة اب د ٱلا بد ين و ه ذا ي و م ف رح ت به ا ل زي اد و ا ب ق تل هم ٱ لح س ي ن ص لو ا ت ٱل له ع لي ه ال له م ف ضاع ف ع لي هم ٱل لع ن م ن ك و ٱ لع ذاب (ٱلا ل يم ) ل م ر و ا ن ال له م ا ني ا ت ق رب ا لي ك ف ي ه ذا ٱ لي و م و ف ي م و ق ف ي ه ذا و ا يا م ح ي ات ي بٱ لب ر اء ة م نه م و ٱل لع نة ع لي هم
and by declaring loyalty to Your Prophet and Your Prophet s Household, peace be upon him and them. www.duas.org Pg6 و بٱ لم و ا لاة ل ن ب يك و ا ل ن ب يك ع لي ه و ع لي هم ٱل س لام You may then repeat the following words one hundred times: O Allah, pour curses upon the foremost persecutor who usurped the right of Mu ammad and Mu ammad s Household and the last follower who acceded to his deed. O Allah, pour curses upon the gang that struggled against al- usayn and who supported each other against him, paid homage to his enemies, and participated in slaying him. O Allah, pour curses upon all of them. ال له م ٱ لع ن ا و ل ظال م ظ لم ح ق م ح مد و ا ل م ح مد و ا خ ر تا ب ع له ع لى ذ ل ك ا ل له م ٱ لع ن ٱ لع صاب ة ٱ لت ي ج اه د ت ٱ لح س ي ن و شاي ع ت و ب اي ع ت و تاب ع ت ع لى ق تل ه ا ل له م ٱ لع نه م ج م يع ا You may then repeat the following words one hundred times: Peace be upon you, O Ab -`Abdull h and upon the souls that gathered in your courtyard. Peace of Allah be upon you from me forever as long as I am existent and as long as there are day and night. May Allah not cause this (visit) to be the last of my visit to you (all). Peace be upon al- usayn, ال س لام ع لي ك ي ا اب ا ع ب د ٱل له و ع لى ٱلا ر و ا ح ٱ لت ي ح ل ت بف ناي ك ع لي ك م ني س لام ٱل له اب د ا م ا ب قي ت و ب ق ي ٱل لي ل و ٱل نه ار و لا ج ع له ل زي ار ت كم ٱل له ا خ ر ٱ لع ه د م ني ا ل س لام ع لى ٱ لح س ي ن
upon `Al ibn al- usayn, upon the sons of al- usayn, and upon the companions of al- usayn. Ziarat Ashura You may then say the following words: O Allah, pour special curses on the foremost persecutor and begin with him first, and then pour curses on the second, the third, and the fourth. O Allah, curse Yaz d fifthly, and curse `Ubaydull h ibn Ziy d, the son of Marj nah, `Umar ibn Sa`d, Shimr, the family of Ab -Sufy n, the family of Ziy d, and the family of Marw n up to the Resurrection Day. www.duas.org Pg7 و ع لى ع ل ي ب ن ٱ لح س ي ن و ع لى او لاد ٱ لح س ي ن و ع لى ا صح ا ب ٱ لح س ي ن ال له م خ ص ا ن ت ا و ل ظال م بٱل ل ع ن م ني و ٱب د ا به ا و لا ث م ٱ لع ن ٱل ثا ني و ٱل ثال ث و ٱل را بع ال له م ٱ لع ن ي زيد خام س ا و ٱ لع ن ع ب ي د ٱل له ب ن زي اد و ٱب ن م ر ج ا ن ة و ع م ر ب ن س ع د و ش م ر ا و ا ل ا بي س في ان و ا ل زي اد و ا ل م ر و ان You may then prostrate yourself and say the following words meanwhile: O Allah, all praise be to You; the praise of those who thank You for their misfortunes. All praise be to Allah for my great misfortune.
