Boys Hockey Development Committee Report Joe Pankratz Routine Report FYI o Skills Coach: Tue/Wed (3 hours/night) 10/16 until 12/16 with the exception of 11.27 (girls game) Need to figure out MEA break Wed only after 12/16 (up to 5 hours/night) Need to determine Devenier schedule to coordinate with the skills training o Tryouts - ice all set, assembling evaluators, keep working details over the next 2 months o Ice Schedule/Skills/Devenier - Ingy, Ryan Ess, Skills Coordinator, Jeff, and I will meet to help schedule practice, game, and skill sessions. Decent amount of coordination so it will take some time to finalize; must be done before the D6 game draw. o Coaches - Corey email has been sent by Jill; all set at travel until tryouts are complete o Dryland Contract - I'll send a separate email with proposed contract, but Jill and I had a good discussion on costs, scheduling, treadmill removal and plans for that space, etc. FYI, the Dakotah Trainer costs are paid directly to Carolyn or Renee at DSF, not to Exceed. Estimating those to be in the $20k range this year, increased from last year Girls Hockey Development Committee Report Kiersten Nelson Secretary s Report Jill Christopherson Routine Report FYI o 2018-19 Season Info Doc has been posted to the tryout page o Travel Parent & Player meetings contract is complete with the PLHS o Navy equipment fitting dates waiting for Lettermen to confirm times on 8/15 & 8/19 o Music Fest Volunteers the following is from Mary with the Rotary; We used a point system to determine donation amounts this year. Each volunteer starts with one point, a point per hour worked is added, another is added if the shift was during the festival night, another was added if the volunteer had to be over 21 and a bonus point was given for those working the late shift. Members of your group worked in ID checking, a pop/water tent and in alcohol ticket sales. All were late shifts and except for the pop/water volunteers, the others had to be over 21. The group earned 151 points. Each point is worth $9.40 so the total donation is $1418.50. o D6 Report: Attended 7/30 for Dave Bantams B2 and C: will move to 75 minute games; three 15 minute periods. Peewees B and C: periods will be 13 minutes vs 12 to use entire hour clock MN Hockey is looking into fair play points as there has been a significant increase in match penalties. Only 1/3 of the games being player have FP points. Considering how to integrate into tournaments. C state tournaments will be reviewed this season for next season. Expect a BB2 and PWB2 solution.
