1 st Show & Sale of Breeding Sheep - 1766 Sold On Wednesday 15 th August we held our 1 st Breeding Sheep Show and Sale, with a smaller entry than the same sale last year, due to vendors holding off until later sales after a hot, dry summer. Trade for the best quality sheep was strong, with buyers willing to give strong money for their picks, with others seeing selective demand throughout the sale. The lack of grass being the main cause of this and trade likely to pick up in time for the next sale on the 5 th September. We once again held a pre-sale show for pens of 8 or more Theaves. This was very kindly sponsored by Wynnstay (Local Rep - Craig Forsyth) and was expertly Judged by Mr James Tibbits, Kelmarsh. We would like to thank the Judge and Sponsors for their support, and of course the Vendors for turning out such a high standard of stock.
