3 1. Organisation of NRA sanctioned shows Any organiser of any NRA sanctioned shows shall: a. Be responsible for the running of the event and comply with the general show rules of the NRA. b. Provide penning for the exhibits if the show is advertised as a penned show c. Provide safe, adequate judging tables, penning tables and scales d. Have the right to refuse any entries without providing a reason e. Create judging books with class names, pen numbers and a place for comments and placings. f. Appoint an NRA judge [SR 58. NRA Judges Association] g. Provide a pen number to accompany the rabbit h. Provide an environment where the judges decisions are not formed by the influence of others. i. Ensure the safety of all exhibits on display. 2. Exhibiting by judges No judge appointed to officiate at any NRA sanctioned show shall: a. Exhibit in the rabbit section of the show they are judging b. Exhibit in any show where a common award is being awarded on the same day at the same event c. Exhibit in any other section where a common award shall be given d. Judge an exhibit that the judge has owned/ bred, unless it has not been living at their stud for at least 3 months. 3. Judges failing to appear In the event that a judge fails to be able to judge their appointed class, another judge may be selected by the club. This judge for any star graded show must be an NRA current member of the NRA judges association in order for it to keep its sanctioned status. They must also be able to judge at the level at which the show has been advertised. 4. Examination of Exhibits The judge must handle and examine all exhibits placed before him/her by the stewards, in accordance with the number in the judging book and the number assigned to the exhibit. The judge must award placings in line with the instructions from the show committee. In breeds where there is a weight limit advised according to the standard the exhibit must be weighed before challenge certificate points can be awarded. a. In the instance the judge believes the exhibit has been entered in the wrong class, e.g. buck in doe class, the judge can have the rabbit changed into the appropriate class. b. In the instance where the rabbit s identification is illegible and unreadable the rabbit is to be moved into the appropriate unregistered class. 5. Disqualification of exhibits. The judge must disqualify the exhibit if it meets the following: a. He/she believes the exhibit is in an unhealthy state and not fit to compete. b. Complies with any written disqualification stated in the breed standard for the particular breed. c. Has been excessively over-prepared and groomed e.g. clipping, oiling, and powdering. d. The judge believes the exhibit is older than the class it has been entered in due to looking over developed. e. A piece of the exhibit is missing- e.g. single testicle 5.1 Once an exhibit has been disqualified out of any class, it is to be removed from any subsequent class it has been entered into. 5.2 The judge must report any disqualifications that the show committee deems reportable to the NRA committee following the completion of the show.

4 5.3 Once a judge disqualifies any exhibit, he/she must advise the book steward of the reason for disqualification. The judge s decision shall be final other than when they do not provide a reason for disqualification, where a formal complaint may be laid to the NRA committee for consultation. 6. Disqualification for excessive or irregular preparation In the event that a judge discovers any exhibit showing to be over prepared or excessively prepared, the incident must be reported to the show secretary and a report from the judge and show secretary must be lodged to the NRA committee who shall form an investigation [CR 44. investigation of complaints] 7. Signing of paper work The judge must sign any show paper work, or challenge certificates. They must check the placings and award winners are correct. They are to confirm and check that all ID read off the exhibits is correct to their best knowledge. 8. Alteration of judging books No alteration of any judging paper work can be made once the judge has signed it, unless a mistake has been found and both judge and show secretary agree it is a genuine mistake. 9. Checking the Identification of exhibits The judge must check the ring or tattoo. That must be the full number and letter displayed in order for the correct publication to be made. 10. Judges not unanimous In the event where there is a joint award and several judges are involved, and the judges do not agree on the placings, the majority vote shall decide. Where there is a deadlock an umpire shall be appointed to be the final decision-maker of the class. The umpire shall be a person appointed by the show committee. The umpire shall be a member of the NRA judges association, not an exhibitor in the show. The umpire must not be a suspended member of the NRA. 11. Number of judges per class The maximum number of judges able to judge a single class is Marking of judging books Lead pencils, blue or black ballpoint pens and laptops may be used to mark judging books. 13. Agreement to be bound by the show rules of the NRA Any exhibitor, whether a member of the NRA or not, entering an NRA sanctioned show is bound by the NRA show rules for the duration of the show. A copy of the NRA show rules and constitution can be sent by request to the secretary, or found in the NRA handbook 14. Cancellation or amalgamation of classes In the case where the show committee feels the need to cancel or amalgamate any classes they can do so, if one of the following circumstances arise. a. Classes have an award. b. Guaranteed entry to the class. c. Sponsorship request. 15. Rings

5 Exhibits that have been entered in an NRA sanctioned class shall wear a tattoo [SR 16 Tattoos], or leg ring on the hind leg above the ankle joint. In order for the exhibit to enter the registered class of the show, the exhibit must be a registered animal with the NRA. The ring is to be the stipulated size laid down by the BRC, or the size recommended in the breed standard. The ring must have the year the exhibit was born in, the letter which will indicate the size of the ring and an individual number. a. No rabbit bearing an NRA ring band shall be sold to a non-member of the NRA with its leg ring on; it must be cut off unless the new owner intends to show it. 16. Tattoos Exhibits that have been entered in an NRA sanctioned class shall wear a ring [SR 15 Rings], or tattoo in a single ear. In order for the exhibit to enter the registered class of the show, the exhibit must be a registered animal with the NRA. The tattoo is to be the stipulated size laid down by the BRC, or the size recommended in the breed standard. The tattoo must have, in the following order: an individual number, the letter which will indicate the size then the tattoo year the exhibit was born in. a. Unreadable tattoos shall see the exhibit moved into the unregistered section of the show. 17. Ordering of rings / tattoos Only full members of the NRA have the right to purchase rings or tattoos from the NRA. They must not purchase rings/ tattoos for any person other than themselves, or sell or give any surplus to non-members of the NRA. The application to purchase rings and tattoos must have the person s name, stud, ring size, breed intended for registration and postal address. 18. Foreign identification. The NRA shall accept any other organisation s registration of rings and tattoos as long as it is a recognised system used by a recognised organisation. The register shall keep a record of any NRA registered exhibits. 19. Identification sizes Ring and tattoo sizes are stipulated in the standards but can be noted A Polish B Enderby Island (Ring only), Dutch, Tan, Miniature Rex, Jersey Woolly C Dwarf Lop, Miniature Cashmere Lop D Standard Chinchilla, Silver Fox, Cashmere Lop E English Angora, Standard Rex, Harlequin, Satin H New Zealand White, Flemish Giant, K Miniature Lop L Californian, German Angora, Giant Chinchilla X Netherland Dwarf Z Enderby Island (Tattoo only) 20. Irregularly tattooed or rung exhibits Exhibits shall be: Moved into the unregistered class and no Challenge Certificate points awarded a. Unreadable tattoo b. Wrong sized stipulated by the breed standard tattooed c. Spoiled d. Unregistered exhibit with the NRA e. Tattoo not recognised by any other origination or the NRA.

6 Disqualified from the show a. Incorrect ring size stipulated for the breed b. Incorrect age stipulated for the exhibit. 21. Used rings or tattoos Once a ring or tattoo has been used in any NRA sanctioned show that identification shall be seen to be that exhibit s. That individual identification cannot be used on any other exhibit. 22. Change of identification Once an exhibit has been awarded identification it cannot be changed without the consent of the NRA. 23. Exhibition of internationally imported exhibits An exhibit showing an officially recognised marking from the country of origin may be exhibited at any NRA sanctioned shows once the identification has been accepted by the NRA committee and the fee to register such animal is paid. That fee shall be set from time to time by the NRA. 24. Distinguishing marks or tattoos No exhibit shall have a distinguishing man-made mark or tattoo on them (apart from the official registration mark). If found the exhibit must be disqualified from the show and a report made to the NRA of such acts. 25. Ownership of exhibits All exhibits showing any form of identification competing in an NRA sanctioned show recognised breed class have to be registered in the name of the exhibitor exhibiting them and in the NRA registration system. Should the rabbit not be registered any challenge points are deemed invalid. 26. Transfer of exhibits Exhibits needing to be transferred into a new exhibitor s name shall be done through notification to the championship register. A fee may be set from the NRA for such transfer from time to time and the current fee can be found on the NRA s official web page. 27. Exhibits previously owned by a judge No rabbit that has been owned by the judge shall be able to be exhibited under the judge until the period of three months have passed since the exhibit s identification has been transferred into the new owner s name. 28. Custody of exhibits All exhibits entered into NRA sanctioned shows are in the custody of the show committee. From the time the rabbits are vetted in until the time of them leaving the show hall, no person is able to handle or move the exhibits unless requested by the show manager, secretary or official personnel. 29. Responsibility of damage at NRA sanctioned shows. The show committee, organisers, stewards, or official personnel will not be held responsible for any loss or damage to an exhibit, the organisers shall take the utmost care of all exhibits entered in the show. 30. Smoking in venues Smoking is not permitted in the room or venue where rabbits are penned and judged. 31. Penning

7 a. All exhibits are to be penned no lower than 30cm off the ground. If possible dividers between the cages are recommended or, in the case of self-penning shows, a reasonable gap to be seen. Show curtains are recommended. b. Angoras penned at any NRA sanctioned show must be of equal height or higher than any nearby pen. c. Where pens are stacked on top of each other, a waterproof layer must be placed between the two heights. d. Hay, straw and wood shavings shall be up to the discretion of the show committee, whether it is permissible in the show venue. e. Any mess, whether it be hay, straw, or water from their exhibits, shall be the exhibitor s responsibility to clean up, not the show committee. f. Water is to be available to all exhibits at all times at all NRA sanctioned events. 32. Vetting in All exhibits wishing to compete in any NRA sanctioned show will be vetted in to determine whether the exhibit is in a fit and healthy condition to compete in the show. Each club must keep a record of all exhibits vetted out and provide a receipt for doing so to the exhibitor. Any exhibit that is deemed to be unfit and vetted out shall be boxed and removed from the show venue and be placed in an area where they are unable to put others at risk. a. The vetting in steward can be one of the following people: veterinary surgeon, veterinary nurse, NRA judge, suitably experienced person. Their decision shall be final. i. Where a second opinion is requested, the two officers may deliberate and their decision shall be final. It is recommended that any decisions take place away from the vetting in table and away from any exhibitors. b. Vetting in stewards are looking for the following i. Contagious diseases ii. Evidence of pasteurella iii. Visible infestation of mites iv. Open wound v. Vent disease vi. Anything else that is contagious to any other exhibit in the show. c. In the case where self-penning is used, the vetting in steward has the right to accept the rabbit but not the cage/pen if it does not comply with the show committee s show rules or is presented in a dirty condition. 33. Out breaks of RCD and Myxomatosis a. Any member of the NRA who is unfortunate enough to contract RCD or myxomatosis shall report the case to the NRA, or area representative, who shall inform the general membership and local clubs in the area which has been affected. b. Any exhibit who contracts a confirmed RCD or myxomatosis shall place themselves into a quarantine period of 110 days since the last death. No stock is to be moved to or from the property. c. No stock may be sold during this quarantine period. 34. Late arrivals Any exhibit arriving late to the show shall compete in any class it has been entered into, providing the class has not already been judged. 35. Change in entries No change shall be able to be made to any entry after the closing off date that has been provided has passed, unless a genuine mistake has been made by the exhibitor or show secretary.

8 36. Prize Money Show committee have the right to award prize money to stipulated classes. Prize money is to be advertised to their discretion but, once advertised, it becomes a binding contract to the exhibitors, and the advertised prize money assigned to the prize must be given out. 37. Prize money being withheld Prize money cannot be withheld once advertised under any circumstances. 38. Prize cards. It shall be up to the discretion of the show committee what type and information shall be on prize cards. It is recommend that show cards to go out on the cages once the show has commenced, otherwise they can be posted. 39. Sponsors Advertising of sponsors shall be up to the show committee. The NRA shall not have any responsibility for sponsor and local club relations. The NRA shall advertise any sponsors to the NRA accordingly with the agreement of both NRA and the sponsor. 40. Show official special treatments Judges and book stewards are to receive light refreshments and an entry into the show where they have been asked to officiate. 41. Stock for sale NRA sanctioned clubs are allowed to have stock for sale at their shows. Fees to sell stock is at the discretion of the show committee and stock purchased at any NRA sanctioned shows must be vetted in and be of good health. Any issue relating to stock for sale shall be up to the discretion of the show committee. 42. Complaints relating to sanctioned shows Any complaint or protest with regard to an exhibit, exhibitor, judge or steward has to be lodged from the complainant in writing with their name, signature and contact details to the show secretary within 24 hours of the show s completion. Local issues will be left to the show committee to act on; any issue relating or deemed to be a national issue shall be lodged to the NRA within 7 days of the show commencing. All complaints referred to the NRA are to be acted on according to [CR 44. Investigation of Complaints] and followed if necessary by [CR 45. Penalties] a. If the complaint can be dealt with on the show day this shall be up to the discretion of the show committee. b. Any exhibitor has the right to know the reason for their exhibit being disqualified - if the judge refuses to give a reason a formal complaint may be lodged to the show committee. The NRA shall receive a carbon copy of this. c. No person may place a complaint with regards to any exhibit for any reason before the exhibit has been judged. 43. Concealment of exhibits No person shall bring the ownership of an exhibit to the attention of the judge, or present the exhibit to the judge where the exhibit is advantaged or disadvantaged. If such an act is believed to have happened, show rule [SR. 43 complaints relation to sanctioned shows] is to be adhered to. 44. Reference to the NRA

9 Any matter that arises at any NRA sanctioned show regarding claims a person may make regarding awards and stock that is not covered by the NRA show rules may be lodged to the NRA committee whose decision shall be final. 45. New Zealand regions New Zealand shall be broken into 6 regions: Northland, Auckland, Midlands, Central, Canterbury, Southern. At any point when regions are referred to they shall be identified though this map. Any areas not obvious due to a border located on the map shall be up to the discretion of the committee. 46. NRA regional representatives NRA regional representatives shall be nominated and voted upon by the members situated in their region at the NRA AGM. a. They will be responsible for writing a report of any current events in their region. b. They shall be responsible for administering rings to exhibitors in their region. c. They will co-ordinate a fundraising event for the NRA in their region each year. 47. Scales Local clubs are to provide scales that are able to weigh every exhibit at every NRA sanctioned show. Exhibits with weight disqualifications must be weighed before being disqualified or NRA CC points awarded. 48. Regulations or requirements The NRA has the right to implement any regulation or requirement at any point once passed through a CGM, EGM, SGM, AGM, and once all members have been notified. 49. NRA sanctioned shows All shows that meet the NRA show rules are eligible to be a sanctioned event with the following privileges: a. NRA judge s certification b. NRA pet show, and use of the NRA pet championship system. i. Pet judges do not need to hold an NRA judging license or be a member of the NRA judging association and may be appointed by the local club at their discretion. c. NRA challenge certificates and points. d. The ability to utilize any NRA show rule.

10 e. Receive NRA support. f. Receive an NRA best in show ribbon or rosette. g. Ease of running shows. h. Any NRA affiliated club privileges presented at the time. 50. Show dates. No two NRA clubs shall host a show on the same weekend as an NRA club with-in their recognised region unless sharing a venue. 51. Rights of non NRA members All NRA sanctioned shows are open to entry from any non-member of the NRA. Acceptance of all show entries lies at the discretion of the show committee. 52. Show schedule application Show committees shall appoint a show secretary for the show they are applying for. Show committees shall present a show schedule to the NRA before their first show, after their membership has been paid or renewed. This schedule is to stay the same with the exception of dates, location, and judge. Any major changes must be ratified by the NRA before being able to be accepted. Applications for each individual show must be sent to the NRA using the NRA show application form, and must be in the hands of the NRA 28 days prior to the show date. Show schedule requirements can be found in [SR. 54 NRA sanctioned shows requirements]. a. The NRA shall advise the maximum star grading that the schedule is worth. 53. NRA Sanctioned show fee The NRA committee shall lay down the sanctioned show fees for both breed show and pet shows that can be altered from time by the NRA committee. The current fee can be found on the NRA sanctioned show application. This fee is to show in the NRA bank account 7 days before the show All NRA challenge certificates shall be deemed invalid until payment has been received. 54. NRA sanctioned shows requirements All NRA sanctioned shows schedules must have the following information on them: a. State the show is an NRA sanctioned show. What type of show - for breed shows state the amount of stars on offer by the judge. b. The type of penning required. c. State the judge and their NRA number. i. Pet judges do not need to hold an NRA judging number or be a member of the NRA judging association. d. The date and venue of the show. e. Show rules- Please see NRA show rules for what requirements are set for show rules. i. Affiliated clubs are able to implement their own show rules on top of those stated by the NRA. f. A list of classes and age descriptions. All breeds being showed frequently in the region should be seen on the schedule otherwise an any other variety (AOV) class shall be on offer. The NRA shall advise breeds that require to be on the schedule for that region. Colour groups can be broken down as far as local clubs see fit. g. Entry form. h. Show secretary and information to return the entry form to. i. Show manager. j. Entire fees and payment Information.

11 Affiliated clubs have the right to add to and remove from their schedule any information outside the stated requirements. 55. Young Classes These classes are open for rabbits conforming to the under the given age restriction for their breed outlined in their standard. For example under 14 weeks, under 5 months, under 6 months, under 8 months. All entries into any show must be at the time of the show no less than 12 weeks of age. a. No exhibit in an Underclass be able to exhibit in an adult class weather that be a breed class or duplicate. b. Where a year class is offered all exhibits must have a form of proof of when the exhibit was born, either by a ring or tattoo with a readable year on it. 56. NRA convention The NRA shall run an annual convention over the period of a weekend selected by the NRA. If and when possible the NRA shall advice their members two years in advance of the location and date of the convention for the following year. The NRA shall appoint a show committee who shall be in charge of the running of the event and appointing any jobs or positions required to manage it. They may not necessarily be a members of the NRA general committee. The convention will run in alternative islands each year and the location of this to be decided by the NRA general committee. The convention shall consist of a. An NRA 5 star main show b. A 3 star all breeds show I. 4 (Four) NRA affiliated associations shall be invited to host a section of this show. And shall benefit from any financial gains made from their section. II. Local clubs will be responsible for providing prizes for their assigned sections. c. An NRA pet championship show. d. Invite any other rabbit-related event. e.g hopping. e. NRA (JDP) Junior Development Programme event. f. Any seminars that are able to be run. g. If possible run an NRA judging school. 57. Junior Development Programme JDP The junior development programme (JDP) shall be an opportunity for junior members of the NRA to extend their knowledge and allow them to compete amongst themselves. The JDP programme shall be overseen and run by the JPD co-ordinator. The JDP programme shall have one competition gathering per year and shall be run alongside the NRA convention. In order to be eligible to participate in the JDP, all members must be a current financial member of the NRA and be under the age of 18 before 31 st of March. An overview of the JDP can be found in the NRA handbook. 58. Steward education training programme. (STEP) The NRA shall offer a simple yet effective stewarding programme that will be designed to educate and train stewards in New Zealand. a. Stewards can be assessed by an NRA senior advanced or advanced judge at any NRA sanctioned show. They must be able to show and achieve all the requirements in their level before being moved up. The pass mark shall be 100%. b. When presenting breeds, a steward must steward and present the breed at two different shows on different dates and have a senior advanced or advanced judge sign off their stewarding card which shall say they have stewarded for the duration of that breed and they have handled them. Each section shall state how many breeds need to be stewarded before achieving that section.

12 c. Stewards who have achieved a level of stewarding can purchase an NRA stewarding badge and this badge shall be placed on the upper left shoulder. d. Stewarding levels and requirements. i. A grade shall be able to present correctly all breeds and be asked to steward long haired breeds, all Lops, Netherland Dwarfs, Flemish Giant, Polish. ii. B Grade shall be able to present correctly all Normal Fur, Rex, Dutch, Enderby Island, Tans, Harlequins, iii. C Grade shall have a good knowledge of the rules surrounding stewarding and general table etiquette 59. NRA Judges Association. The National Rabbit Association of New Zealand shall provide a platform where exhibitors and breeders alike are able to show their stock under a system that will be formed by a panel of experienced, knowledgeable judges where individual interpretation of the standard shall create a competitive social system to enhance breed development. 60. Judges responsibility. Every exhibit entered into any NRA sanctioned event shall be judged on the rabbits individual merits. The judge should be familiar with the breed standard and make their judgment on things such as type, colour and coat. The judge should be familiar with individual breed traits, faults and disqualifications. 61. Judging School A. The National Rabbit Association of New Zealand shall be responsible for holding judging schools with notification of applications to be published. B. Any member of the National Rabbit Association of New Zealand shall register by filing a written application to the secretary and payment of a $25.00 fee to register to the judging school. Once accepted (several applicants may be needed to run a judging school) the applicant will have 6 months to pass the National Rabbit Association of New Zealand s Judging school by a series of internal and practical exams ran over the period of the judging school. The time and place of the exams shall be determined by agreement of the trainee judges and the control judge. This school should not take any more than 6 months to complete. In the event where the applicant does not achieve the judging school, or they exceed this time period, they are to lodge another application and pay the judging school fee. C. All applicants must be an A grade steward at the time of applying, and have book stewarded several times. If possible they should have attended any seminars, have a comprehensive idea if how to run an NRA sanctioned show and have judged a pet show. I. Internal examinations shall be made up of a written examination that is open book and to have a mixture of questions relating to the constitution, show rules, breed standards, general knowledge and descriptions. It is to be completed within 90 minutes II. Practical examinations will be assessed via open book and shall take however long is required to fairly assess all trainee judges. 62. Exam pass marks 0% - 74% - Not Achieved 75% - 85% - Achieved 86% - 93% - Achieved with merit 94% - 100% - Excellence 63. Judging levels

13 A. Trainee Judges are unable to award NRA CC points. Their focus shall be on acquiring as much practical experience, attending any judging seminars, shows, and talking to more advanced judges to increase their knowledge. Pass the NRA judging school. B. Junior Judges are to judge a minimum of two times Fancy, Lop Normal Fur, Rex Sections, whether this is by judging separate sections or all in one go, under supervision of an Advanced or Senior Advanced judge. They may be signed off to be upgraded by the control judge once they are satisfied with their progression. Once these sections and any reports have been assessed, Junior judges are able to award and sign 1 star NRA CC points. A junior judge shall be recognised by a yellow judging badge. C. Intermediate Judges are to judge a minimum of 1 time per year and should continue broadening their knowledge and skills as a judge. They shall be supervised when being assessed to be upgraded. Intermediate judges can advance once the senior directing judge is satisfied with their progression. They are able to award and sign 2 star NRA CC points. An intermediate judge shall be recognised by a green judging badge. D. Advanced Judges are judges who have shown they are competent in judging all breed shows and show a great knowledge of the breed standards. They must judge at least 1 show per year to maintain a good relationship with the fancy. They are to spend a minimum of 3 years at this level. They are able to supervise junior judges and report back to the control judge with their findings along with offering assistance in running judging schools. Advanced judges are able to award 3 star NRA CC points. An advanced judge shall be recognised by a blue judging badge. E. Senior Advanced Judges are the foundation of the rabbit fancy. They have years of experience, judging and offering advice. They have the choice whether to assist in helping run seminars and judging schools. They are able to supervise junior and intermediate judges. Senior advanced judges are able to Award 3 & 5 star NRA CC points depending on the type of show. A senior advanced judge shall be recognised by a red judging badge. F. Control Judges - will be the person who has the authority to upgrade any judge with notification to the general committee. This will be once the judge has reached and met the conditions outlined in their specific judging level. They shall be voted in by the General Committee and must be a senior advanced judge at the time. The control judge shall be recognised by a gold judging badge. G. Overseas Judges. Shows where the judge is from another country. Their grading needs to be compared to the NRA system and a star grading awarded accordingly. All international judges need to be a recognised judge with any recognised judging organisation. 64. Unfair conduct In the event a judge believes they are being held back unfairly, they may write to the general committee and voice their concerns. The general committee shall speak to the control judge and make a decision on their findings. The general committee s decision is final. 65. NRA Judges code of conduct All NRA judges are bound by the NRA constitution rule [CR 47. Judges code of conduct] and their license is not valid until they have signed and returned this article. 66. Fee to belong to the judges association. In order to belong to the judges association an annual fee of $10.00 must be paid to the NRA. 67. Judges identification. All judges can have their qualification identified by the colour of their judging badge found on the upper right arm. Starting with the lowest qualification at the bottom and the highest at the top. Judges must pay for their own judging badges; the cost of these shall be advised by the NRA. 68. Judges Payment

14 The outlined fees are the maximum amount any NRA judge may charge when officiating at an NRA sanctioned show Advanced judges $20.00 Senior Advanced $25.00 Payment of expenses shall be negotiable between the show committee and the judge concerned. Payment of expenses must be made clearly in writing in the judge s contract. 69. Suspended or resigned judges, or international judges moving to New Zealand Any judge who has allowed their membership to lapse, been suspended, or resigned from the NRA and would like to have their judge s license reinstated shall judge an all breeds show under the watchful eye of two Senior advanced judges who shall write a report to the control judge, or the control judge themself may oversee the appointment, make a final decision and write to the judge concerned with their results. If the judge is reinstated as an NRA judge they may continue from where their previous grading was or where is deemed appropriate. The time when their grading was upgraded is that of the upgrade. 70. Procedure for judging final line ups The procedure for judging best and reserve best in show shall be by judging the best Fancy, Fur, Lop and Rex once the judging of all of these sections has commenced. Once best in show has been selected the runner up of that section may be presented on the judging table for comparison against the best of the remaining sections and may be selected as reserve best in show. The reserve best in show should be the second best rabbit entered in the show. 71. Show star grading. In order to award a judge s maximum amount of shows the schedule must confirm to the following. 1 star shows Schedule: a maximum of Adult or Under 5 or 6 or 8, Buck or Doe. Fancy, Lop Normal Fur, Rex Sections only, or a points show. Qualified judges: Junior, Intermediate, Advanced, Senior Advanced, International 2 star shows Schedule: a maximum of Adult, Under 5 or 6 or 8, Buck or Doe. All Breeds accepted Qualified judges: Intermediate, Advanced, Senior Advanced, International 3 star shows Schedule: a maximum of Adult, Under 5 or 6 or 8, Under 14, Buck or Doe. All Breeds accepted Qualified judges: Advanced, Senior Advanced, International 5 star shows Schedule: a maximum of Adult, Under 5 or 6 or 8, Under 14, Buck, Doe. All Breeds accepted Qualified judges Senior Advanced, International 72. Points show In order for point shows to be eligible to award 1 star NRA CC points, the schedule must comply with the NRA Show rules. The exhibit must receive more than 80 points. 73. The NRA pure bred Champions The NRA pure breed championship system shall be an automatic system and once a show has been completed with the return being sent to the Championship register, the rabbits concerned can begin their pathway to championship status. This system is only open to full members of the NRA Bronze diploma 10 CC star points Silver diploma 15 CC star Point Gold diploma 20 CC Star points Champion 25 CC star points, and one best of section

15 Supreme Champion 30 CC Star points, One Best in Show Double supreme champion - 50 cc Star points, two Best in Shows. 74. The NRA pure bred championship system. a. The stars available for any NRA sanctioned show can be found on the show schedule submitted to the NRA and its exhibitors. Any number of shows may be applied for the following year. b. If the judge feels the exhibit is not a fair representation of the breed or fails to meet the 80 points in a show, the judge at their discretion may not award any CC points for that section of the show. However it shall be up to the show committee who shall liaise with the judge as to whether the exhibit is deserving of any prizes attached to the class. The judge may also choose not to award a 1 st place to the exhibit. c. The officiating judge must sign all CCs he/she has awarded. d. Exhibitors may receive their cc cards at the show or have it noted on their club card with the allocated CC points awarded and the judge s signature. e. The championship system shall be an automatic system. Once the show secretary has filled in the NRA show return form and sent it back to the Championship register the rabbits grading shall be formed automatically and the diplomas, once the rabbit is eligible, sent to the exhibitor s home club for them to hand out at their next show or whenever convenient 75. The NRA Pet Championship system. Any form of member is eligible to participate in the NRA pet championship. a. Members shall receive an NRA pet passport that is to be kept and brought along to shows when the exhibitor has entered a rabbit into any NRA sanctioned pet show b. See the NRA hand book for the NRA pet championship overview. 76. Introduction of new colours and breeds. The NRA shall adopt the current BRC method for adopting and introducing any new colour or breed into their standards. 77. Show return forms Once an NRA sanctioned show has commenced the secretary must supply the NRA championship register with a complete prize list using the NRA s show return form. This is so that the results can be easily published and the championship system can be updated. This form is to be in the hands of the NRA 14 days after the show has commenced. 78. Publication of shows All show dates advertised by the NRA in the official Down the Warren shall have the name of the club, date and, where applicable, the venue. A copy of the schedule can be sent to all NRA members on the NRA mailing list. 79. Advertising in Down the Warren. Every affiliated club shall have 1 free page per year to advertise in the NRA s Down the Warren. Any extras or members wishing to advertise shall pay a fee set by the NRA committee. 80. Specialist Clubs Specialist clubs shall be accepted to the NRA and shall come under the heading of an affiliated associations. The show fees to hold a specialist show shall be found on the NRA show application form. The fees for a specialist club to hold an all-breed show shall not be any different to an all breeds association. 81. Rabbit identification entering shows

16 Every exhibit entered in a class that is offering NRA CC points shall have their identification, whether it is a ring or tattoo, recorded on the entry form. 82. Water at shows All stock must have water at all times when in the venue of an NRA sanctioned event. 83. Certified breeder Any Full member of the NRA is eligible with the fee set by the NRA to apply to be an NRA certified breeder. The breeder must comply with the set requirements laid down by the NRA in order to be successful in their application. See the NRA handbook for the overview in becoming a NRA certified breeder.
