1 Masterclasses Breeze 2018 During the course of the weekend there will be a number of Masterclasses on offer. These classes are for those of you who feel you really want to get to grips with the styles on offer in a smaller more interactive group. A maximum of 30 people can be accepted on these workshops and are for fixed partners only so you would need to find a partner to make the booking (with the exception of Ladies Styling). A charge of 5 per head is in place for Masterclasses and you can book and pay for your Masterclass at the Weather Centre situated in the main foyer upon arrival. Ladies Styling 1 & 2 (SOLO MASTERCLASS) Becki Rendell Saturday 10.45am and Sunday 2.30pm With a background in Ceroc, Salsa, Line Dance, Merengue, Zumba & Bachata, Becki has many styles to add variation and the wow factor to her Ceroc dancing. As an experienced Ladies Styling instructor, you can expect this Masterclass to incorporate Top - Toe Basics & Posture, Ceroc Rock Back Step with Latin Style, Spare Arms and Combinations, Shoulders, Hips and Hand Movements. Solo Ladies of any level. There is so much to cover in Ladies Styling that 1 hour won't really cut through everything, so at this Camber Becki is teaching part 2 for those who are really dedicated to Style. This session covers - Top to Toe Basics & Posture, Spinning & Spotting, Ronde from Spins, Stylish Walks & Solo Footwork Patterns. It is not necessary to complete Ladies Styling 1 to participate in this Masterclass Suitable for All solo females Blues Musicality (PARTNERED MASTERCLASS) Nina Daines & Nigel Anderson Saturday 12 noon With the big competition on the horizon, who better to teach you the skills of moving with the music than the very people who will be judging you! Nigel and Nina take you through a range of skills that allow you to adapt your dancing to the accompaniment being played, hit the breaks, reflect the ambience and become 1 with your partner and the music. 2 Scrolls (PARTNERED MASTERCLASS) Caine Langford & Danni Moore Saturday 1.15pm Caine and Danni are experts at this technique, which allows you and your partner to fly down the dance floor. Rotational, travelling and with an exciting momentum, Scrolls are often considered the moves danced by the most accomplished dancers. Their incredible teaching style covers vital considerations for both the leads and the follows, so, working together as one, we guarantee you ll posses all the skills to sweep down the room. Suitable for Int + dancers and above Heels, Toes & Slides Men s Styling (SOLO MASTERCLASS) Ekow Oduro Saturday 2.30 Men, if you want to be the most stylish guy on the dance floor, come and learn the skills from well the most stylish guy on the dance floor. Ekow never fails to impress in freestyle and competitions alike with his innovative style and crowd pleasing tricks. This lads-only Masterclass will teach you how to move with confidence and provide you with some jaw-dropping movements that you can practise in freestyle as soon as you get onto the floor. Suitable for All Solo Males Intro To Seducers (PARTNERED MASTERCLASS) Steve Thomas Sunday 3.45pm The art of seduction (on the dance floor that is) is an invaluable skill. Steve will teach you to dip and drop safely and stylishly. With an abundance of tips for both leads and follows, this is the perfect Masterclass for anybody who wishes to progress onto learning harder dips and drops with a strong and effective foundation. Suitable for Intermediate dancers and above
3 How to Win a Competition (PARTNERED MASTERCLASS) Kieran Moore & Charlie Brownlee Saturday 5pm These 2 are no strangers to the competition scene, and their cabinet of medals and trophies is proof. With the Blues Champs Heats this evening, Kieran and Charlie will take you through the simplest and most impactful methods to stand out on the dance floor, grab the judges attention and impress with well-timed and powerful movements. Whilst this is not a Blues specific Masterclass, the techniques delivered will be beneficial to any Blue competitors, as well as anybody wishing to participate in a Ceroc competition in the future. ESSENTIAL for those who have never competed before.we expect this to be a popular one, so book early! Suitable for Intermediate dancers and above Extreme Leans (PARTNERED MASTERCLASS) Nina Daines & Nigel Anderson Saturday 6.15pm Our distinguished Blues Champs judges are back, this time with some new, creative challenges for those who want a more advanced flavor to their dancing. Extreme Leans will be sure to earn applause from the audience and a nod from the judges, so inject these into your competition dancing to really stand out from the crowd. Be warned though, this class is not suitable for Intermediate level dancers, as the content is skillful and demanding. If you have your eye on the gold however, it s a must. Signature Moves (PARTNERED MASTERCLASS) Richard and Zoe Beauvoisin Sunday 10.45am Dance masters Richard and Zoe showcase their legendary style and unforgettable moves in this advanced Masterclass. With their dual teaching effortlessly switching between lead and follow, they will make sure that the sophisticated tips, techniques and high level skills of these unique and show stopping moves are personalised just for you. 4 Kizomba (PARTNERED MASTERCLASS) Dale St Rose Sunday 12 noon Kizomba is a stunning Latin dance, mostly danced in close hold, with intricate footwork and hypnotising grace. Dale St Rose teaches you the basics, builds your confidence with the core skills and offers some simple developments that you can experiment with your partner. He is the King of rhythm, so you will be in safe hands. Challenge yourself and try something completely new this weekend. Suitable for All dancers SILC Developmental: New Moves (PARTNERED MASTERCLASS) Kieran Moore & Charlie Brownlee Sunday 1.15pm SILC legends Kieran and Charlie are choreographic masterminds. For those wishing to advance their SILC repertoire to a higher level, this Masterclass will hit the sweet spot. New moves, challenging patterns and a wealth of technical developments for your dancing, this is high-end movement material for those who have some experience of SILC. Newer dancers will be advised to attend Saturday morning s SILC lesson first, as this material is reserved for accomplished SILC room veterans only. Argentine Tango Improvers (PARTNERED MASTERCLASS) Marc Forster & Rachel Pears Sunday 3.45pm Dance chameleons Marc and Rachel are accomplished dancers and choreographers in a vast range of genres. Their tango lessons draw in crowds from across the country with their easy to follow teaching methods and desirable style and flair. This Masterclass will give you the tools to look and feel like a pro during the evening Milongas. It is aimed at those with some tango experience, enabling the lesson to focus on some more sophisticated patters and ornamentation. Suitable for Intermediate Plus dancers and above
