4 Zpey news We have redesigned the bent Zpey handle and the new and improved handle is used on all our new double hand rod series. NEWS To optimize the transfer of energy from fly caster to fly rod, the grip is crucial. Henrik Mortensen immediately saw the potential of the bent Zpey handle the first time he laid eyes on it, but also understood that the concept could be improved. Henrik came to Zpey about six years ago and has been working on redesigning this handle from day one. His main focus has been a handle that will help fly casters master more effective casting styles, based on the concept of direct and natural feedback. The new double hand rods (including the new Switch rods) will, through the shape of the new handle, be your own private casting instructors. Now, with the season of 2013 gradually materializing, Zpey is proud to present the new and improved bent handle: - the new handle will make it far easier to cast along straight lines and will ruthlessly inform you every time you sin. - the new handle makes it possible to present your fly using less power and with far less waste of energy - the new handle will make it easier to both hold and control the rod while casting. - through focusing on the lower (and bent) handle, you will be able to utilize the action of the rod almost to perfection. - to sum it up; the new handle will help you cast longer and better, with less power 4
