1 34th South Carolina Amateur Match Play Camden Country Club Camden June 14-18, 2006 Champion: Adam Hart, Bylthewood Hurricane Alberto came through South Carolina with a vengeance and caused the first round of stroke play qualifying to be cancelled. The qualifying was then shortened to 18 holes and the field was cut to the low 64 players for match play instead of the usual 32. Adam Hart of Bythewood was supposed to face past champion Dillard Pruitt but due to a Pruitt default he found himself making it into the quarter final round. He went on to defeat Justin Hoft of with a 1-up victory. After a win in the semifinals he faced Baker Elmore in what was a very up and down match between the two. In the end, Hart won by a 3 & 2 margin over Elmore. This has been a tough week, I have faced some challenging opponents, Hart said. I am excited to have won this championship.
