Our public outreach programs promote appreciation, understanding and stewardship of Colorado s wildlife. The agency is funded through hunting and fishing licenses, fees, federal grants and Colorado Lottery proceeds through Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO). 5 Successful completion of the MOUNTAIN LION EDUCATION AND IDENTIFICATION COURSE and this test (scoring 80% or higher) IS REQUIRED in addition to a valid license to hunt mountain lions in Colorado. This applies to all mountain lion hunters, guides, outfitters and houndsmen.
